I totally agree with you. We must stop waiting on other people to help us do what we can do for ourselves. And a brother like you shouldn't have to beg the very community you are helping for financial assistance. We should be able to invest sweat equity in our own survival if you can't mentor then donate. Yes, you have done the work. I have watched you develop, train, give back to the community for the past 5 years. And now you are trying to do something no other community is doing. My brother, count me in I will find resources that can support this mission.

Mr. Roberts I recently listened to a tribute that Joe Madison who is on Sirius XM Radio had. It was tribute to the late Jim Brown. He played a recording from and interview that he had with Jim Brown from 16 or 17 years ago. It was a 3 hour tribute. Mr. Roberts Jim Brown said if you want to really help the community he said it's not by charity he said it's by change. He said change not charity. He said gang members or someone who is getting ready to get out of prison on parole or probation he said the reason why some/most of them repeat the same cycle is because we don't have anything set in place for them to go to start a job and or to finish school. He said before I told these gang members and people getting out of prison how you could turn your life around and get back out and up on your feet, he said I had to first have something set in place for them to go to. He said somewhere that wouldn't just educate them , but a job/trade that would put money in their pocket along with having mentors to continue to keep in touch with them. He said my actions in the community had to speak louder than my words. Mr. Roberts Joe Madison asked him about the republicans. He said republicans aren't trying to hear anything about rehabilitation. He said republicans want you and believe that you should help yourself own self first. Mr. Roberts I appreciate and I respect you making a difference in your own community. I am here in Dallas, Texas. Something that I see to often is not just excuses, but people who haven't even tried. My mother use to say that "nothing beats a failure but a try".Yet you also have people who try to discourage you and try to kill your dreams. And what is the most interesting thing of all some/most people have gone and made multiple accomplishments all by first someone saying that they couldn't do it. Mr. Roberts I will be donating. Mr. Roberts when you mentioned giving up. I want to leave you with a quote that I have on my wall that has helped me through a plethora of things. The quote says "I threw in the towel, God threw the towel right back at me and he simply said... WIPE YOUR TEARS YOUR ALMOST THERE." Mr Roberts I am not God, but guess what sir you are almost there. Continue to keep persevering, grinding, having compassion, having faith in yourself and others, believing in yourself and others. When my eyes open I thank God everyday Mr. Roberts, but guess what I also look at the floor and say "I am up again today devil".One of my favorite gospel songs is"I beat the devil running and I am so glad".Mr. Roberts you continue to beat the devil running and continue to cut him off at the pass. You take care and God bless you.
