  • Today I've got a snowglobe card to share with you and I've again used the adorable characters from the new Snome Time 2 collection by Craft Consortium. This card was completely inspired by a video done by Sarah Trebilcock and here's a link to her video which is well worth checking out: • 🎄☃️ TUTORIAL 3D Snow G... I've modified her design slightly to allow this card to fit into an A7 (5 1/4" x 7 1/4") envelope.This has to be one of my favourite card designs yet!

    Thank you so much for your detailed directions on how to make this card! I loved your ideas for adding dimension as well! I hadn’t thought of that before! I also liked how you showed how to put the images onto the snow globe. That was very helpful!

    Great tutorial! I’m definitely going to give these a try. I do have an idea for lining up each of the circles at the same height. After you marked the back panel at 9:07 and before gluing it to the base, you could stack circles 1 & 2 overtop and mark them at the same height as the pencil line of the back one.

    • @KarensKardzz
      @KarensKardzz  7 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you so much Natalie! That might work! The other thing I noticed too, is that each of the circles are about an inch apart at their tops. Probably because the base is 1” deep, so that might be another way to line things up. I hope you have fun with it. 😄💕💕

      That is so sweet of you Teresa! Thank you so much! I’m glad my voice sounds calming because when I’m doing the voice overs, the video goes by so quickly and I forget half of what I was going to say, and I don’t usually feel calm! 😂😂

    Absolutely brilliant. Thanks for rescaling to fit a 5x7 envelope. Super helpful. I’m flipping through my 12x12 pads now to see what I can find that will make a snow globe.

    Thank you so much for your series! I am SO happy to have found your channel! I especially like that you have lots of videos that don’t require specialty dies. Lots of us have a good collection of basic dies, but not specialty card base dies. With the sad decline in independent paper crafting stores here in Canada it can be hard to find them, and when you do they can be prohibitively expensive (or you have to wait for an online order to be delivered!) It’s fun to be able to watch a video and re-create it the same day with what we have on hand! You are very good at explaining techniques, your instructions are clear and concise, and you have such a lovely manner. One question - this paper pad is delightful, but I would really love to see some ideas on how you would use the adorable but really busy patterns. Have a great day😊💗

      @KarensKardzz  10 месяцев назад

      Thank you so much for that really kind comment Karen! I’m also in Canada (Calgary), so I completely understand your comment about lack of stores and the need for online ordering. As for the busy patterned papers, I also find those hard to use. I tend to use them as background papers and have a white focal point (usually a circle or square) to soften the effect. Sometimes, I use the to line my envelopes too which helps coordinate the card and envelope. I think my teammates tend to be much better at using those patterns and you can see their examples on the Craft Consortium Network Facebook page. There are usually lots of examples in the albums there if you do check them out.

      Thank you so much Lisa! I’m on the Craft Consortium design team, so I confess I get the papers sent to me (I do realize how lucky I am!). I’m not sure which part of Canada you’re in, but this collection should be arriving soon in the stores and I know that Ecstasy Crafts (Ontario) and R&R Scrapbooking (Alberta) carry these lines. Scrapbook.com and Simon Says Stamp in the States will likely have it in soon too. I hope that helps! 💕💕

      Hi Janet, I had to go back and watch the video to see what size they were, but they’re 4 3/4” outside diameter and 4” inside diameter. Hope that helps.
