Napkin Fold Pop Out Butterfly Card - Jacky Drake (Part 1)

Using a creative napkin fold inside a blank card I’ve created this beautiful pop out card.
I recently purchased the latest butterfly die cut pack by Katy Sue Designs and they are absolutely stunning butterflies that just pop out from the page. The two sheets in the pack contain a whopping 332 butterflies.

I made something like this many years ago but the mechanism was a lot more complicated. I shall definitely be trying your method which has the added benefit of being so pretty inside - the napkin fold is genius, especially with the die-cut edge! You could also use this mechanism for interactive album pages.

I am assuming you would need to choose a shape for the acetate attachments that were reversible e.g. you couldn’t use a small person with an arm up stamp as one of them back to back the arms would be in opposite direction. Can you please give a quick tutorial on how you choose and attach items. Flowers & butterflies are great but pe4haps some different shapes. Thank you for the ones you have done. I love them and you inspire me to give it a go!!

Yes, the butterflies I have used are double sided but the others are not, especially the flowers. Most people would show a card with one side facing out front and the front facing ones would be the ones on show. Hope this helps x
