Forgot about that. Conduct unbecoming. Great and needed addition.
Agreed though I disagree that should be an issue because 1A is for everyone.
@russhamilton3800 I agree, but if you're at all representing your agency they are a stakeholder in your behavior. Professionalism in your free expression is the solution.
@difficulttolookatpictures I don't think any one should have to remain silent on an issue or be forced to say things abhorrent to their personal beliefs. I'm appalled at what many government agencies have done in this regard.
@russhamilton3800 it's true; sometimes it's just an excuse though. Most agencies have a boiler plate policy of professional conduct and institutional morale, and it's easy to justify someone's inconvenient expressions as in violation of these policies. For every good officer trying to express views on an important subject there's a dummy that puts on a uniform and embarrasses everyone. I see both sides.
There is so much negligence at the facility I work at. So much contraband is being smuggled in from our work crews, and the crew bosses are not doing their job at even attempting to stop it. Every time we search the work trailers or tool areas for the work crews, we find vast amounts of lighters, vape pens, tobacco, pot and other items. We're talking thousands of dollars worth of contraband, but the crew bosses aren't even being looked at.
That’s horrible. Contraband shows a severe crack in the system
Good stuff! In the process of becoming a corrections officer for a very small jail soon. There is a lot to think about. Great tips, thank you, gentlemen!
Thank you for watching it and good luck. You got this. Any concerns..you know where we are at
You're welcome. We are here to serve
@TierTalk What would you say the biggest differences are in working a small (40 bed) jail vs. what I assume you guys are more familiar with (prisons). Maybe just some quick things that come to mind? Thank you
Thank you @russhamilton3800
Maybe you could also help with the question I just asked Anthony?
@@user-jd2is7rp8q that is a great question. Maybe worth doing a whole show over. I have to think on this.
!0 things that will get a C/O fired. drugs, tobacco, intimate relationships talking back to superiors, being a "cool"guard, bringing in phones, abuse to the incarcerated , officer to officer intimate relationships on job, Not doing the job assigned and number 1 doing your job correctly . Lol just talking. Had to drop a comment. Respect to you and Russ
Hey do you know why prisoners are always drunk? They hang out at the bars .lol
lol. Missed you brother
I'm investing into body cam so long as my warden is on with it.
I agree with them
The first stage of preventing being compromised / corrupted in some way is to admit you’re / I’m vulnerable to such things.
Class 256 NJDOC here starting academy in 9 days. Big fan of yours. I appreciate your videos and all the advice you given. Big help!
Thank you sir. Welcome to the NJDOC family. You got this. You need anything ..let me know.
The things you should not do. The corollary is the things you should do!
Yes. That will be next
There is no room for cowardice in law enforcement. We run toward the danger.
Excellent, always telling it like it is
I learned from the best Kevin
Everyone gets crazy about body cams. What a tool I would have had to show people what I see!. Make sure you have good policies in place.
4years as a co, 3 years as a Sgt, 1 year as a Lt and 2 years working at the academy. Now I’m an investigator for my state CID. All of these are spot on. Keep up the awesome work.
Great job!!! And thank you for watching
I work at Angola Louisiana State Penitentiary. And man. Other than the obvious things people get fired for, I've seen people get fired for things IMO, they should have never got fired or sued for that matter for. Tbh it's insane. The more the country leans left, the more it cripples us. It's a shame man.
I totally agree with you. It’s becoming extremely harder to do what is expected of us
Hello Anothy
