- I thought it would be wise to spray paint one of my cameras -- the GX800 -- bright orange. why not!

PLEASE disassemble it before repainting. Those dials must’ve function horribly after the painting process 😭
They’re all fine 😊 but yes - had this not been a very cheap side project I definitely would have taken more care!

My own personal fav everday carry would be my Lumix TZ70.
After that my old Lumix GF6 was a nice M4/3 option, had a useful tilting touch screen. Very compact design but sadly no EVF.

Aaah I love the TG series I used to have the TG1 😁 I would go LIME GREEN but i also have terrible taste 😂
Out of curiosity, have you thought about trying to peel off the textured covering on the body and replacing it? (I assume it's something like a layer of PU leather) I like the look of the tan GX80 but A) I already have a black one and B) I'm saving my pennies for something bigger.
I have done that successfully on a few film cameras, but I think the covering on these sorts of cameras is very thin and very well attached. I may have a go one day!!
It works on an Olympus EM5. It has plastic panels covered in very thin pu leather, but the plastic panels are just taped on so you can replace the whole panel with thicker pu leather. Just don't glue it on, because that's where all the screws are

No, there far more intelligent methods out there.
The idea is great, I adore customising your belongings, it does bring out your personality. Aluminium parts can be anodized (although somewhat difficult to do at home, especially compared to spraypainting) and it is much more durable and looks more professional. :D

I really like it yeah! It fits in my bag and gives me a silly smile every time I use it. I definitely wouldn’t have done it with any of my main cameras tho. Could you imagine 😂

Silly indeed.... You need to learn painting skills and methods so that the result doesn't look so bad.
