    www.sleephq.com is my free web app for CPAP Data analysis and sharing. If you need to share your data with a professional just upload your SD card files and invite them via email on the platform. You clinician will have full access to all your information on any device and from anywhere.

      Some feedback Nick.
      - I love that you've created a new platform. More options for users in this space are sorely needed.
      - But I'll never be a fan of cloud only solutions. Being able to share the data is great IF the patient wants to, but we should always be in control of our own data and a cloud solution takes that away. I want the OPTION to share the data, not to be forced to upload it to the cloud by default. This is why I'll be sticking with ResScan and OSCAR for the time being. But I'll be keeping my eye on this.
      - I have not used it myself. I am mostly going of LankyLefty's video. From what I've seen it's a very impressive first cut and quite capable. Have you built on open source software available? If so you should acknowledge this.
      - I have plenty of confidence you'll address any loading issues and make zooming in and out of the data easier with subsequent releases. Please don't neglect this. A mistake a lot of software developers make is to get the UI to the "good enough" stage and then neglect it.
      - I'm also quite worried about the move by CPAP companies (specifically Philips) to encrypt data. Is your software able to decrypt data from the latest Philips machines? I'm worried the CPAP manufacturers and US DMEs will move towards making viewing and analysing data through 3rd party apps illegal.
      Keep up the good work. Even if I never use this software, others will find it invaluable.

      G'day . If you are using ResScan it means you are using a ResMed and if you are using a ResMed all your data is in the cloud (on their servers) anyway. With SleepHQ you do have complete control over your data (unlike with ResMed). You can upload, share and delete your data as you please. We built SleepHQ from the ground up and i'm very proud of it. It will revolutionise the way cpap users review their therapy. Thanks for your feedback

    • @sammyfromsydney
      @sammyfromsydney 2 года назад

      @@CPAPReviews Hi Nicko. Yeah. You can turn the upload off, but Resmed keeps nagging you to turn it back on every time you use the machine. But just because Resmed forces something on their users, doesn't make it okay. The reality is that if SleepHQ shuts down, it'll take the user's data with it. I hope that doesn't happen any time soon. You should absolutely be proud of Sleep HQ and I wish you all the best. But I like having full control of my data on my PC using software I have installed and can re-install at any time. I'd still like to be able to share it when I want to with whom I want to, so there's a gap in OSCAR and ResScan that definitely isn't there in Sleep HQ. All the best in continuing to develop it. There are definitely going to be people for whom it's a better fit than the other solutions.

    This happened to my brand new (February 2022) ResMed 11. I heard to rush out machines, they used the old chips and didn’t care that we would be unable to transmit. This stinks because I am brand new on CPAP, so I’m in the process of proving my initial compliance and I am so angry. I really appreciated your video. I have found your videos have helped me so much. Funny thing, I had a long talk with a Verizon technician, and he told me that at least in the United States 3G and even 2G will continue to have connectivity. Resmed connectivity issues were company issues related to proprietary software. My 3G AirSense 10 data stopped working about 6 months ago, and we were told we would need to install an SD card and bring it to the Dr. Office a month ago, all those 3G machines came back online.

      Hello dear friend! Thanks for your wonderful comment. ResMed certainly are not short on data. They have billions and billions of nights. It's not really a problem for them as such as they're still pumping out the old 3G versions here in Australia. It's more a problem for the consumer and / or the doctors who remotely monitor patients etc. It's hard to believe they didn't include bluetooth in the AirSense10 or the ability to add external wifi. It's just a dumb move from the 'market leader' . All the best. Nicko :)

    • @OzLioness
      @OzLioness 2 года назад +1

      @@CPAPReviews If the modem issue was relevant in *Australia*, are you saying that ResMed do share the CPAP user data that they do steal with the customers nominated sleep therapists?
      I would also suggest that while ResMed do have billions of nights of data, that old data has nowhere near the same market value that up to date data does. I am happy to give my data over when I am given a choice, and when something is offered in return for that data. ResMed fails on both. :-)

      G'day Steve, It's a great question mate. With the Old AirSense10 you can take of the face and side plates and then disconnect a little cable but now i believe they have hard wired the cell modem onto the main pcb (i'll have to double check) so the only way to stop transmission to the mothership is to put it in 'flight mode' which will stop the signal. ResMed has however also made that annoying because each day they will keep trying to get you to take it out of flight mode with screen prompts and stuff so it just becomes frustrating. Once again, it's by design. They won't settle for anything under 100%.....Well that was the original plan anyway. Cheers

These companies are so obsessed with data and being cloud connected but as soon as there's a problem they forget how to use it to communicate with their customers. Let's not even talk about their social pages also which go completely silent. You could always get a an 3G AS10 and use my www.sleephq.com for data reports mate. Just remember in Australia it will be a few years before they switch off 3G so it will still sync with the mothership for a while unless you disconnect the modem internally . All the best legend. What carriers are used by the ResMed CAM (cell access) devices?

  • @NotMyActualName_
    @NotMyActualName_ 2 года назад

    I wouldn't think private insurance compliance requirements will be a big deal. The devices being manufactured now are using 4g or 5g antennas. And private insurance only cares about your first 30-90 days. After that they don't care if you're compliant because they've already paid for the machine at that point. I believe the same is true for Medicare and medicaid in the US.

    • @CPAPReviews
      @CPAPReviews  2 года назад +1

      Most US people are on resupply programs ( for mask parts and accessories ) and have to show continued compliance forever. Furthermore Resmed is still manufacturing 3g autoset versions. I bought one brand new manufactured in late 2021 👍

      @@CPAPReviews maybe I'm in the minority but my US insurance does t require compliance beyond the initial 30 days just to pay for the machine.

    Just came across your channel and find it invaluable to CPAP users. My problem is, I have a 3G ResMed AirSense 10 and would like to use the SleepHQ website to upload my data but can't get the files from my SD card to upload into the program. Am I missing something? I did what you explained but when I click on the "upload" button, nothing happens.

    I wonder how this is going to effect my insurance purchased ResMed, I mean they are the one that actually owns it. And if they don't get my data, then what? Because they need to see at least 40% usage from my machine. Guess I'd better find out if they are going to get me another machine.
    But I honestly don't care that ResMed collects my CPAP data and no one else should either. Come on, more people post personal information about themselves on social media, pictures of their families, their vacations, their house and cars they drive.
    Okay SleepHQ looks interesting but I'm assuming it's not free and honestly it kind of sounds like you were selling it because you get a kickback.

    • @CPAPReviews
      @CPAPReviews  2 года назад +2

      Hi Dan, let me know how you go with the insurance stuff mate. I'd be interested to know :questions:
      Regarding the collection of data. It doesn't really matter who the company is or why they are collecting it. If medical companies no longer have to ask for consent to collect and use our personal health data that's a big black hole buddy. And surely it wouldn't kill them to have a 'turn off' button in the menu. Social media posts are one thing, but medical data privacy and consent is on another level. We've just witnessed this first hand over the last year. Regarding www.sleephq.com , it's mine mate. I built it / own it. And yes, it's free.
