BMW X5 E70 Handbrake Switch Replacement

A common issue on the E70 X5 (and the F10 / F11 5-series) is a broken handbrake switch.
2nd hand ones can be expensive, so I fitted a new £14 switch from eBay.
It is a very easy job and can be done in less than 30 minutes.

Yep, a lot of people get daunted by jobs on newer high end cars, but it’s not bad.
