I am 79 years old and been sewing since I was at school and thought I new everything about sewing goes to show you are Beverly too old to learn something new thanks for the tips
Not all of us are professional seamstresses. These tips are for anyone who might just want to learn how to do something new. Personally, I love them all😊
I love the toilet roll hacks I will be on a roll spotting quest now and not necessary toilet roll it would with anyone as long as it fits. Now I have another idea xxxx
While using a toilet paper roll to iron open a seam might work in a pinch, _no_ professional tailor would use this method. You don't have the correct control over the fabric that you do when using an ironing roll or ironing rod. While you might want to tie new thread onto old thread in sergers, it is wholly unnecessary to do so on a sewing machine. In the length of time it took you to tie the 2 threads together I could have threaded, unthreaded, and rethreaded my sewing machine (through the machine AND needle) 3 or 4 times already...because they are that simple and easy to thread. No reason to make it harder to do. Using the yarn with the overcasting foot is pretty smart.
The last one is a very good trick thanks😊

I liked the yarn with the overcast foot, and the fork ruffle! All of them ate good though. 👍
