All you you are talking about how House paused because he realised that he's similar to his father. I don't think it's right. I think he didn't want to fail his mother. House doesn't punish failure other than his own. House doesn't treat those under him worse just because they are under him. You can see that those people were not only his work colleague's but also his friends - from House's own funereal. True, House has many qualities that sound the same as he described his father but on closer inspection, they are not so similar at all. Though, from the other side, we don't really know how House's father was like when he was alive.
@@chanaberlove8720 House seemed more proper when his dad was there. Sure, he still slipped up when he talks in true House fashion, but it looked as if he was somewhat holding his tongue. You can’t force someone to forgive their family mine sucks and I don’t see myself taking any steps towards forgiveness any time soon I’d honestly like too but I can’t imagine it
Forgiving is not about giving something good to them. It's about giving something good to you. Which is releasing yourself of hatred and that is a feat to accomplish. It can sometimes take a lifetime to do so. But most importantly, its not about saying "i forgive you so anything you did no longer counts" but its about "i forgive you because you're not gonna make me hate."
Forgiveness is about YOU no longer letting YOURSELF be burdened with the actions of another. It has nothing to do with the worthiness of the other person.
My dad’s side was the same way. They held his funeral on my birthday when I was a kid...not because they were assholes but they just didn’t care. I forgive for me, I left them and my hurt in the past.
This somehow reminds me of the relationship between Michael and Trevor, there is no similarities between the two but the overall strangeness of the strength of the relationship just links between them
I hate that you are expected to worship or kiss up to your dead father just because he’s dead. It doesn’t matter if his dad was a miserable tool who deserved nothing from anyone.
I never watched House in it's original run and am only now watching clips on You Tube. What I enjoy most is the banter and relationship between House and Wilson. Could watch an entire series based around them. The actors have amazing chemistry 💜
Not too long ago I would have seriously judged House’s behavior here… but after watching my husband suffer from what his therapist called, “The worst case of PTSD that she had ever seen,” from horrifying abuse from his father, I totally approve! Lol!
The act of kissing his father just to steal some DNA was funny enough but the look on House's face when Wilson catches him is priceless. Fabulous show, exquisite bromance.
I love how the start of their friendship is due to Wilson being so annoyed at a party that he throws a bottle, misses his target and breaks something. And the rekindling of their friendship comes from Wilson throwing a bottle at a funeral, missing his target, and breaking something.
This makes me so angry. First his “friend” doesn’t care about his feelings and only about his mother’s by literally kidnapping him, and then his own mother guilt trips him to talk about his abusive dad. That’s not ok in galactic levels
When Wilson said You know him better than I do ..and House's expressions made me laugh, cause nobody knew House well than Wilson, sadly not even his mother.
I have a doctor friend, who's biological father was abusive verbally, emotionally and physically. He hated his dad , seeing his bruises and his breakdowns, we also used to cry. We were still teens when we started medicine. As we grew up, became older, the dad was like psychotic narcissistic. My friend went to other countries to practice just to be away from that toxic person. People around judge him being irresponsible son, but like willson only we know the truth.
In my opinion Wilson was the more immature one here because why would you literally kidnap someone and force them to go to something they didn’t wanna go to.
I just lost my father and gave a speech at his funeral yesterday. He wasn't perfect, he was an alcoholic, but I said only the best. Because a funeral is a time to remember the good times. I understand House, and why he did what he did.
The moment he realised he was describing himself... (and finally understood his dad) He loved doing what he did... more important than any personal relationship (then steals dad's DNA) 😄
Seeing house almost start to cry I haven't watched this show in a long time and I am pleasantly surprised that they took a jerk and a heartless character and stripped him away of all of the things that made him that ever had to realize that it was like father like son and for him to realize that he actually did care about his dad that is art and that is beautiful.
He faked a cry to come closer to the casket to take a DNA sample That little pause during his speech however looks like he realized that he is all he hate about his notfather
How did Wilson not know that house was going to do that with the flashlight. He should know better then to think that House wouldn't continue to mess with him

Actually we do, there was an episode where they interacted. He was a terrible father.
@@chanaberlove8720 House seemed more proper when his dad was there. Sure, he still slipped up when he talks in true House fashion, but it looked as if he was somewhat holding his tongue. Then when his father went off for a bit in the scene, he seemed to relax a bit when he started talking to his mom.
Now that is how you know that his dad was terrible. I've never seen House struggle to keep his composure around anyone but his dad, not even the coppers or the jury during that one court episode.
Really, Wilson should have seen 2:12 and 2:49 coming
Maybe not 2:12
But atleast 2:49
2:49 was gold. Simple but caught me off guard.
@@agentdelta569 yeah, 2:12 he couldn't have guessed.
No one should be forced to speak at a loved one's funeral. We all grieve differently.
I don't care that it worked; it shouldn't have happened.
I love how he berates his father then realises fuck I'm the same way 😂😂😂
"I don't care your dad was emotionally abusive, demeaned you in every way, never showed you any real affection and probably fucked you up in unimaginable ways, he was your father so now you have to go stand in front of dozens of people and pretend he was an ok dude so that I can feel better".... Yeah okay and we are supposed to be on whose's side? Mother of the year btw.
Now that Ermy is actually dead, this is almost surreal.
Craziness... he did have a true MARINE funeral in real life though.

This episode actually establishes that John was not House's biological father.
That's why he took that piece of his ear. Long overdue DNA test.
The sound from the way the nail clipper sniped his ear 😂
But also established John was his father and House even saw him as such. Hence his final line in the episode AFTER he learned of the paternity..
“Wilson.....My Dad’s dead.” 😞
@@jimmy2k4o so was he his biological father,o mom had an affair some 50 yrs earlier?
@@mokytojas As I recall, he was NOT his biological father, but House took after him. Just like how a godson becomes more like his stepfather than the real son (Jon Snow - Ned Stark)
No matter how much he loathed his father, and how cold they were towards each other he would never let his mother down when it really comes down to it!
Wilson: "I'm sure you know him better than I do."
House's inner thought: "Liar!"
I love how at the start of the clip Wilson has every counter to houses childishness
Until they get to the rest stop
I need to stop watching these,i seem to forget im not watching an episode just in time to start getting into it right before it cuts out!
I have every single episode on DVD yet I’m still hooked on these clips
@@carrieoff yeah, I have the whole series in a extern hard drive, and once a while I whatch a episode
I absolutely love the person who runs this channel. The editin is ON POINT. And she's/he's REGULAR
House just casually tossing the flashlight down the drain killed me.
@@joebenzz Thank you. That's what I needed to hear/read. I am sure it will help others who will read this :-)
@@joebenzz Not really. If someone abuses you your whole life, I don't see how forgiving them would help you.
Wilson: "What are you 5? Stop repeating!"
House: * *starts repeating* *
This somehow reminds me of the relationship between Michael and Trevor, there is no similarities between the two but the overall strangeness of the strength of the relationship just links between them
Reluctant friendship that only the annoying one is into
Holy shit you're right, I was forgetting where I saw this kinda thing before but you are 100% right.
But the question comes forth is House Trevor or is he Michael?
@@bootdude7527 House is Trevor
@@deviouspirate1374 yeah imma have to agree
0:53 I love this moment where House looks down, sees the floor mats, then smiles. It's like he's amused and impressed that Wilson saw that coming
I hate that you are expected to worship or kiss up to your dead father just because he’s dead. It doesn’t matter if his dad was a miserable tool who deserved nothing from anyone.
Conditional love goes both ways. They always act like you'll be under their power forever...
House: Differential: Say you're a middle-aged Chinese woman.
Wilson: Fine.
House: *_S a y i t._*
Wilson: I'm a middle-aged Chinese woman.
I never watched House in it's original run and am only now watching clips on You Tube. What I enjoy most is the banter and relationship between House and Wilson. Could watch an entire series based around them. The actors have amazing chemistry 💜
And now a few words from Greg House:
He's dead; go home.
Not too long ago I would have seriously judged House’s behavior here… but after watching my husband suffer from what his therapist called, “The worst case of PTSD that she had ever seen,” from horrifying abuse from his father, I totally approve! Lol!
He knew House will pee on the carpet 🤣🤣🤣
He knows him the most out of anyone in the show. But still around 95% of the time House is smarter than him.
The minute House broke sentence to cry, I started laughing because I knew it was BS and he was up to no good 😂😂😂
The act of kissing his father just to steal some DNA was funny enough but the look on House's face when Wilson catches him is priceless.
"She wants (to think) she (had)s a family" I don't think Wilson realizes the damage that does to children.
Wilson "Put it back"
House: okay let me just go find some super glue for this chunk of skin I cut off lol
I know that I'm late but super glue's original purpose was to glue up wounds so in a way it would work lol
They're both 5, one likes to repeat things; while the other miles to throw things aka temper tantrum. 😂
Lol, true!
This is why they have some of the best bromance lmaooo
In my opinion Wilson was the more immature one here because why would you literally kidnap someone and force them to go to something they didn’t wanna go to.
The doubt on Wilson's face when House faked a sob 🤣
I like how Wilson breaking the window is an echo of the story of how house and wilson started their relationship
I just lost my father and gave a speech at his funeral yesterday. He wasn't perfect, he was an alcoholic, but I said only the best. Because a funeral is a time to remember the good times. I understand House, and why he did what he did.
Man i know how you feel

It's not you have to pay for them
Peter Gillett well no shit. You gotta pay for everything.
The friendship within those 2 feels so strong and real that I'd bet one of them would take a shot for the other without giving it a thought.
The moment he realised he was describing himself... (and finally understood his dad) He loved doing what he did... more important than any personal relationship (then steals dad's DNA) 😄

I have never gone from teary eyed to burst out laughter as fast as I did at 8:00 😂
tell me about it🤣🤣🤣
Wilsons facial expressions when he said " what are you five" was so funny
Seeing house almost start to cry I haven't watched this show in a long time and I am pleasantly surprised that they took a jerk and a heartless character and stripped him away of all of the things that made him that ever had to realize that it was like father like son and for him to realize that he actually did care about his dad that is art and that is beautiful.
He faked a cry to come closer to the casket to take a DNA sample
That little pause during his speech however looks like he realized that he is all he hate about his notfather
“The war’s over, Greg.” Wow. What profundity.
Like why the freak did Wilson give House the flashlight!?
Oh, and House’s speech left such an impression on me.
Frick*
How did Wilson not know that house was going to do that with the flashlight. He should know better then to think that House wouldn't continue to mess with him
When his mom said "The war is over". That hits deep.
And yet, Wilson haven't had so much fun like this since Amber died.
I just realized the hilarious touch of having wilson get used floormats because he knew house would try something like that 😂
Wilson is truly the best friend any one can get.
R. L. Ermey was an awesome actor and hero. So sad he’s gone. 😭
