If you approach me in melee range on a single barrel, i may be faster than you and I'll hit you anyway. Most people just stand away waiting for the barrel to disappear when they're too afraid. It's a barrel game that is gonna disappear at least the phase of "if you get closer and i have another barrel you get hit" after the nerf. Seeing this in this way, it's like a blitzcrank who's threatening the enemy adc by walking up to him even tho he hasn't ready the grab yet. What would happen if the grab cd would be shown up on blitz? Nobody Is gonna catch that mentally situation. It's a bit controversial but i still think as you said, it's not that big, but surely it's not just "something to Play around"
