Realtek already had the enhancement tab, just in the uwp app they have that you need to download

I just bought a new acer nitro laptop and couldn't for the life of me figure out why i couldn't hear any audio from everyone else during zoom or teams.

I don't have the high definition audio device like in 1:34 i instead only have Audio USB 2.0 and when i tried to update that it didnt work i still dont have the enhancement tab

same. maybe your Audio chip is ALC4080. check in your mainboard datasheet.

"High Definition Audio Device" doesn't appear on my list of available drivers at 1:31. Is there a way for me to get that from somewhere?

Didn't work for me. In the Models window. I only have Realtek Audio. I have no "High Definitions Audio Device". So the lesson for me stops at this point and I'm left with same problem.

I had issues with Realtek fluctuating the audio so badly. It makes dialog audio inaudible even with the volume at full 100%. I was guessing it had to do with the audio enhancements but the tab wasn't there. This video was a life saver. I'm back to 50% volume and everything is still loud
Disabling restarted my PC, had to follow along with automatically generated subs (guess I should've expected that), still worked like a charm and loved hitting loudness equalization and hearing this video loud and clear, big lifesaver

Fantastic! Didn't have a Realtek problem but it did fix my problem.
I have a my PC running from my Nvidia card threw my Sony TV then connected to my Pioneer receiver running Win10 with Dolby Atmos.
My problem was that every second time I switched from say Aimp to Browser (you tube) or Media Player Classic, there would be no sound and then I would have to run "Trouble shoot sound problems" every time, that would then fix it and I would have sound again. Having said that, it would be in stereo, then I would further change from stereo to Atmos in the system bar settings...very Fn annoying to say the lease!
Anyway...I did this trick but to my Sony TV listing in my sound device (in replace of the Realtek) and hey presto...FIXED!!!!!!!!
No more sound problems switching between programs.
Only Realtek Audio showed as options. No high definition. Help please. Thanks

So there's the infamous missing enhancements tab back to life... thanks! Now, can you bring back to life the most useful function once included in that tab, the equalizer? :)
If you don't have the microsoft version of high def audio device untick the compatible devices, scroll till you find Microsoft, look for high def audio device 10.0 and choose the most recent one if there is a date given and your done
These videos usually make no sense from other youtubers but you sir are a legend

Now I have the enhancements tab but NO sound! The Realtek Audio device did not show up again in device manager after installing the High Definition Audio Device. I was left with only the High Definition Audio Device and Intel Display Audio. SOUND did now have the enhancements tab but I now had NO sound coming through my system TO equalize and bass boost. I had to reinstall REALTEK to get sound back and as soon as I did that, the enhancement tab disappeared????
Thank you so much man! I came across this High Definition Audio driver option, but the warning scared the hell out of me to try it lol. As soon as I did, my speakers and subwoofer started playing like angels! Much appreciated :)
In manually update drivers, I don't have high definition audio device showing, only Realtek....help

I don't have those 2 driver options. It's just "Audio Endpoint" or "Generic software device"
Man! Not for me. I don't have Realtek on this PC. It's IDT Audio and the enhancement tab was there for years and then an update came along and took it. So no enhancements for me, which is annoying because of the volume levels in RUclips. All of my other computers, laptops all have this feature execpt this one PC used primarily for just RUclips videos and my music player.

If you dont see the choice "High Definitions Audio Device", then uncheck "show compatible hardware", pick Microsoft on the left, and look for High Definitions Audio Device on the right. Pick whichever has the later date if you got more than one. Try at own risk. But it worked.

Uncheck the box that says something about only showing compatible drivers. Then in the manufacturer list on the left, choose Microsoft. It's in there.

Am i able to switch back to Realtek with Loudness Equalization still enabled, or is it always disabled with Realtek?
My laptop has been automatically reducing the volume of all my videos without my permission, and I am getting annoyed at this. I should be able to decide whether I should turn the volume down myself. I like loud music. I don't think this even help my issue at all, Windows is still automatically reducing the volume without my permission!
do u use nvidia graphics card, more specifically the geforce experience? The in game overlay and recorder in geforce experience can set the volume of your mic or speaker to low if you not set it to a 100% in the settings of geforce experience.
Thanks a million! Switching back to "High Definition Audio Device" fixed more then just the "No Enhancement Tab" problem.. it also fixed the volume problems I was having with youtube.

When I enable the enhancement's tab by updating the driver to the High definition one, my microphone from headset stops working, stops being detected by windows and the only microphone which works is the laptop integrated one, any help? I beg you!

bro i have tried this a number of times but i am having the both options by the name of Realtek High Definition Audio Version...kindly guide me through this
My problem is I don't have the option " High Definition Audio Device" to choose from. I only have 2 "Realtek High Definition Audio" and none of them restored the enhancement tab.

This works but the problem is that the default Windows audio driver causes other issues (like my front panel Mic input not working and only giving distorted white noise).
I just used to have the Realtek driver installed with the audio enhancements tab visible, it also had more options (like an EQ) in there. Somehow it for no apparent reason the tab just disappeared and I'd love to get it back USING the actual Realtek driver instead of the default Windows audio driver.
Yeah it worked perfectly on my old PC but now I'm on a new PC and can't have the same settings it sucks
@@shadyjoanneboots I actually was able to solve it. Realtek removed the audio enhancements tab and moved all those settings to an App you can install from the Microsoft store on Windows 10/11. It's called "Realtek Audio Console" and you normally can install it when you have the latest Realtek drivers installed. It does have all the features there you would normally find in the enhancement tab there like loudness equalization, EQ, sound effects etc. I remember for me personally I could not find the App in the Microsoft store but I believe was able to install it by searching the web for the app, go through the microsoft store website and when you press install there it'll open the Microsoft Store app on the page where you can install it. Just make sure you have the latest realtek drivers installed first.

@@Aomicplane Though when I have that app installed it don't give me any EQ or anything it only gives me DTS Custom and it is very glitchy and the audio sucks when you have the DTS on I don't know why it's like that and I don't know why I don't have any EQ from what I saw the EQ only appears on the Realtek Digital Output which I can't use and very weird how the EQ appears for that output but not for my speakers output, and when I followed this video and did everything the Realtek Audio Console app would not load anymore it only works when the default Windows audio driver is not in use, please tell me how to get the EQ to appear on my speakers output in the Realtek Audio Console app.

I need help, After I've did everything you said my default audio was replaced with a digital audio one which doesn't make any sound on my headphones, To add salt to injury it disabled and disconnected my default audio, after reupdating the audio back to the realtek version,
Nothing happens instead it completely removed my default audio off the playback tab.
When I do this, my microphone no longer works. Any idea why and/or what else I can do?

Doesn't work. Every tutorial says the same thing but "realtek high definition audio" is missing from the drivers tabs, I've installed and updated all audio drivers and still nothing. I'll just take it as a loss I guess.

there's a problem, sometimes the high definition switch to original realtek driver. is there a way to remove the original driver from the list?
I install the high definition audio then my headset doesn't work and just crackles whenever sound is supposed to be playing
