Some computers come with Premium audio package like DTS x or acer harmony and all u can do is select presets no eq... wack.
You can however try Steel series Sonar for EQ just make sure ur comp can handle it.

I found this comment somewhere else and it worked for me: The place where he changes his driver to high definition device you need to uncheck the box show compatible. Than you go in the left box all the way down to microsoft and there you can find high definition audio device with someting like version .... and you choose the newest one and after the restart there should be the enhancement tab.
