This arrangement marriage thing is not for our times. Imagine being forced to marry your cousin who doesn't follow Islam and leave someone religious out because he is not from your family.
Make sure you don't confuse arranged marriage to force marriage. Arranged marriage generally is when someone may link you up with someone and you have the choice if you want to be with them. Forced marriage is when your pushed to marry that person outside your choice.

My parents are searching for a guy for me for arranged marriage, and I'm okay with that.
I'm 22 now and I'm not in love with anyone but those guys whom my parents selected for me I don't like them. Honestly, I don't find them attractive and they are more than 10 years older than me so I reject them.
I never want to hurt my parents but in this situation, I can't handle them they are very angry with me 😭 I pray a lot to Allah for help but again my parents select a new guy just like before they did. And they are not listening to me 😭 I don't know what to do.

I love a guy for almost 5 years ,he's from India we studied in same medical school and our relationship was always pure not physically just I can say he's the one who gives me mental peace most
But unfortunately my parents don't accept him my mom especially
And they are forcing me to marry anyone from my home town
But my heart belongs to him
It's more like he's a therapy for me
He gives me mental peace we can laugh for hours after hours , he keeps me happiest most

After I accepted under pressure and words like if you don't marry this will remain without marrying forever and that nobody wants you, but when I met him I don't like him .. He has nothing wrong with him neither he smokes nor drinks and prays but my heart is not happy with him and also because it seems to me that he is still small in brain ... And I had a pact with him that if I don't feel good with him we would cancel everything normally .... When I said it my parents turned against me and told me of all colors ... and threatening to kick me out of the house, they insulted me in every way and my father even refused to talk to me for 2 months now and even to eat. And they say that I am wrong and that the one I want is only making fun of me and that they know what is best for me and that if I marry someone else I will not live a good day because they disagree ... And the boy he knows that I don't want to marry him but in any case he remains stuck like a glue, perhaps because he wants me to do the documents for him to come to Europe ... I have tried everything but they say that I have to marry him and moreover they want me to be happy ...It even crossed my mind to commit suicide because I couldn't bear the insults anymore ... But I thought of Allah swt and I said everything will be alright .. Alhamdolillah despite all this problem made me get closer to Allah swt, even if my parents are still firm on their decision.
I don't know how to help you other than praying for you. InshAllah things will get better for you. May Allah give you ease

If your parents will curse you to marrying someone you love having good character, deen, and akhlaaq tell them to curse more 😂😂 their curse will not reach even till the lowest heaven. Coz they are doing zulm on you.

My dad is also pressuring me. My mother is just following his orders and telling me to think it over. I told him I didn’t like that guy who is over fifteen years my senior and my cousin (my father's sister's son), but my dad kept telling me how this marriage would help me because they didn’t want a dowry. If he looks for another man, they will ask for a dowry, and he can’t give it because of our financial difficulties, so he picked him because his house is close to our and he works a good job. I'm 19, I've never been in a relationship, and I don't plan to enter either.
Marriage, boyfriend, love-these were all forbidden words in the house, so when they asked about the marriage, I was shocked. I hope Allah provides me with enough strength so I can handle emotional blackmail, disappointment, anger, or anything my family will make me go through.😢
Don't marry stay firm . If you live in a better country go to the police your parents are committing haram by marrying you forcefully . Allah says Don't be oppressed nor oppress others.

The sad thing I'm seeing and is not uncommon - girls getting married and leaving their jobs or education and becoming a stay at home wife and getting pregnant soon after the wedding. These men they get married to come over from their home country and follow this old school mentally for women to be like this. It's sad and makes me think what potential they could of had if this didn't happen to them.
That is the traditional Islamic thinking. Mufti Menk would be considered as a progressive teacher by ultra conservative Muslims--and unfortunately those are the ones who try to hold Islam by the throat. May more leaders like Mufti Menk increase and bring about a new spring in Islam.
I was forced into a arranged marriage and it ended and I was not aware I was even engaged! I was lied to and a lot of things were hidden from me and I trusted my family but then ended up married in Pakistan 😢 he beat me and left me after 7 months and it took 7 years for me to get a divorce. Alhamdolillah Ala Kulli Haal. Alhamdolillah for everything. 😢 Allah bless us all, provide snd protect us all, amen 🙏

Married for 30 years, by choice not by force! For my generation they call us Gen X it is considered a miracle of Allah that we are still together. According to other churches as well Gen X members only stay married an average of 5 to 6 years. Before I converted I was a member of the Catholic church and we were given a PAPEL decree for having remained married for so long. I looked back on that and at the time we were in what they called a 6% bracket at being married for five years. I cannot imagine what bracket they would count this in today as we approach 30 years. May Allah continue to bless us

I had no guidance and my parent never even taught about marriage, and what to look for in a spouse.😔 Everything I learned came from others that I met or friends. I wish that parents would offer more guidance about life. Many people just look at how attractive a person is or they're Financial status and not of they're Character, and nobody wants to talk about human sexualities Some people don't even realize that be for we are ntimate with our spouses we need to know how to approach each other and about each other, and the will of Allah even in those moments let's offer guidance and not shy away from important topics.

Unfortunately many people have had no choice , i had to marry a mentally ill 18 yr old because my parents made a plan with them when i was still in primary school. I had no idea he was ill i was a child myself, i suffer to this day and 3 of my children have inherited the illness, i have no support from my parents or inlaws instead being told to get on with it. I am the first to say may our almighty creator forgive everyone but in such cases i hope Allah deals with these people in the way they deserve because not only do they destroy their own child but the grandchildren aswell

I just had this talk with my dad yesterday and he was fuming but I didn't care. I had to make it known and CLEAR to him that this is my life. U can give advice all u want but what u won't do is make decisions like that for me. I told him if u want a wife then work on yourself and u do that but, don't tell me who I can and can't date. Some males and mostly Muslim males think they have control over u. Like they think your life is theirs. They wanna control u. And I'm not have it, and neither should u. If u don't wanna get married that's up to u. Even if u still get married to the dude just go through with it and down the line have a talk with him and plan for a divorce .

This is the same thing happening with me right now , my parents are just forcing me to marry my cousin with whom my marriage was fixed when i was just born . Now when i am 18 they are telling me that your marriage is fixed and you have to marry him but the don't know that i know about that marriage when i was about 12 or 13 but i thought that when i will tell them that I don't want to marry then they will to me but i was wrong . Right now i am very depressed and i cry alot at night the marriage is after few months but there is still a little hope that i will convince them .

In India you can file for Divorce. Don't have sex with your false husband as you have never accepted him in the first place, he will be fed up and eventually Divorce you.

I have a Muslim friend in the UK who is a chemical engineer. He was conned into getting married by his relatives who had a fake meeting with him to tell him how they all wanted to get him married. It turns out that the meeting was finely orchestrated several days in advance and everyone knew exactly what to tell him. Once he agreed they got a girl for him within ONE day…He was reluctant to get married because of financial reason but it seems that culture and prestige are more important than paying your debts/bills in the Indian Muslim community.
Anyway he got married and realized that in his new family they don’t even know the true direction of the Kibla and have statues all over the house. They seem to have a low threshold for reckless spending on luxurious but useless items..Many years later he found out his father in law was a Freemason….
And that is the result you get when you force someone into a marriage he is not agreeable to…
