one of the weapons in the collector's weapon rack is Meek's blade arm thingy
really enjoyed the show but thanos felt stupidly weak here, like how does he loose to a pair of someone who almost died to black widow, and the big guy wasnt even able to properly overpower spiderman let alone thanos
10:07 thanos was shown not using the power stone in the film that was all him
I don't know if I could agree that this is a X-Wing.
But you missed the Tie-Interceptor below the scrapper ship und to the right/behind the melano
Why the constant spoiler thumbnails (thanos etc)...... Time zones
I liked how this episode really changed everything compared to the first episode which more remade the first Capt. America movie. It didn't feel nearly as rushed either with much better pacing.
agreed
Definitely agree. The first episode felt like somebody had the playback speed turned up.
I feel like the first one had to be pretty similar cause the mission they did was the reason for the serum in the first place
Yeah, i liked this one much more.
Although, Thanos losing to Proxima Midnight and Cull Obsidian is complete bullshit. The dude 1x3 Cap, Thor and Iron Man, for fucks sake!
@@cassiolins1203 thanos turning good at all essentially because t’challa asked nicely was a joke, it’s annoying how he’s basically Jesus
I enjoy that the dog gets rescued in this universe.
@@masterjaninosaurustheone2323 no this dog was Cosmo the Spacedog, who is a member of the guardians of the Galaxy in the comics, Laika is the real dog who was actually sent into space

Watch the animated Guardians show on Disney+!
yes me too
I think he was rescued.. cause idk in which movie but he was with Stanley..
Can we take a moment of respect for Chad and one of his last performances. Miss you bruddah.
14:00 I’m pretty sure that this episode takes place in 2008, (it says 20 years later after the flashback in the episode) so it would be before the first Thor film (2011), confirming your theory about the hammer not being enchanted.
Good detail there!
The dumb thing is, if this takes place in 2008, shouldn’t Shuri be 8?
@@cysa6908 maybe Shuri and T’Challa are twins? It is an alternate reality!
@@arihanjoshi514 It’s implied in this series that each one will focus on a timeline where ONE thing changed and everything after is just a consequence of that change. In this case, Yondu delegating the task of abducting Peter to his subordinates instead of doing it himself, which led to them accidentally taking T’Challa instead, leading to Yondu seeing him and wanting to show him the universe and abandon the job Ego gave him and so on.
In other words, what happened before hadn’t changed, meaning the nature of T’Challa and his sister’s births would be included there.
Such a heartwarming episode I must say.
Except the ending.
true except once you figure out most of earths heroes are dead and asgard fell and a lot of fucked shit within the nice
The Collector and the Grand Master are brothers? That makes so much sense.
In the comics
they are not
true brothers parse , but refer to each other as brothers because they
are each last survivors of their own respected races and are referred to as
elders of the universe.
along with Champion , Gardner , Astronomer and Runner , they were the original in the early comics , Eon was later included , and later many more .
@@darthdebaucherous954 Right, right! I actually own the Infinity Gauntlet omnibus and the way Thanos faces off against each of them is PRICELESS. I kinda wish he had seen that in the MCU, but oh well...

@@darthdebaucherous954 YES! That's exactly how I feel... This whole MCU deal, it's just insane if you think about it. I would've never guessed what I was walking into when I first saw Iron Man back in theaters in 2008... What a BLAST. One of a kind cinematic event, for sure. Funny how they manage to make the original comics even more entertaining, beucase by paying such a great homage to them, we actually want to read them and see how differently things evolve.
I hope we get to see Thanos' father in the mcu one day
Okay but, nebula called T'Challa cha-cha is the best marvel thing ever.
Def my favorite part of the episode.

@@TheGr8tPlays ...Bucky lost his arm, and he was fine...
I was so sad when I heard that, Koorrgggg T-T
Nah he isn’t dead. Remember that Korg says that rocks fall off of him all the time. Losing an arm doesn’t mean anything he can just add more rocks
@@bend.7590 But carcass would mean he is dead, right?
This show is definitely putting the musical continuity back on track, Last episode had the Captain America Theme this episode had the Guardians Theme, Dora Milaje Theme and Black Panther kinda
Also ancestral plane theme and the.kusic from when Luis is telling a story
@This Channel introduces R18 sexy gals ???
I loved The Collector don Hela's headdress and saying "The woman had taste!"
Seeing Thanos went straight and Nebula having blonde hair instead of being bald was very interesting , because of the whole alternate reality, lots of stuff and intriguing
That was really cool to see Thanos as a good guy!
It could be a reference to What if Thanos joined the Avengers
Then that means Gamora was never adopted as Thanos' daughter. But I wondered what could've been for Groot and Rocket

I adored this episode, it blew my expectations massively. It proved why we need T'Challa and I loved how wild they went with this possibility.
Right?! I literally screamed when Thanos suddenly appeared!
They even brought Taserface back🤣🤣
@@k.teschner9672 I know it was amazing
@@TheGr8tPlays yes that was hilarious 🤣🤣
I like how the collector had the apprentices instead of thanos having them. It makes you realise that it's all connected and they really thought it out all correctly.
That's insanely stupid. They thought none of this out, they just changed characters for the sake of putting them in other previously told stories. This show is complete garbage.
@@istrumguitars Not as garbage as your taste in music.
@@istrumguitars Stop watching it. U can desagree. That's all u can do. And complain of course
14:13 looks like one of Miek's arms on the far right, not Thanos's double blade. It would make sense if he had Korg's arm that he would have likely encountered Miek as well. And 14:19. to the right of Mjolnir, looks to be Loki's daggers, and his crown below that. Since he had Hela's gear and Mjolnir, it makes sense that he would have Loki's stuff also.
It’s the eye of agamoto. Not the crown
This episode made a stellar "Good bye, dear Chadwick Boseman"-farewell.
Thanks for everything, Black Panther!
When Thanos says he's not crazy, just mad its also a recreation of when Bruce Banner said he is always mad and turned into the Hulk in Avengers 1
Great catch!
@@oldRighty1 Thanos is basically the Hulk of does new guardians

I love both Kevin and Ryan. Glad to see the mom drop.
I understood that reference
I LOVED THIS EPISODE. It was light, fun and quite emotional. I hope we can get more like this
Not unlike the GotG movies.
The scene where Thanos says “ I’m not crazy, I’m mad” is very similar to the first avengers movie, when Banner transforms into Hulk saying “ that’s my secret Cap, I’m always angry”
Actually, it refers to the fact that in the comics Thanos is called "The Mad Titan".
@@numinous123 can be both
I like how even though T’Challa was a much better Star Lord, this is probably the darker timeline, since Peter has no reason not to join Ego to take over the universe. So the well-being of the universe has more to do with keeping Peter’s destructive power in check than actually doing more good.
Isn't the bar from the Collector where Howard the Duck drinks closely resembles the Star Wars Cantina Bar? I also think that it was Miek's Blade arm, not Thanos' Helicopter Blade. And i think the "Shoots lasers and flight" thing that The Collector said is not only a nod to Superman, but to Ikaris also.
Yeah as you can see the cantina has the IG88 head which is a secret in Star Wars and here
Or Hyperion
It totally was! On second watching I also noticed at 15:02 there appears to be the silhouette of an Imperial probe droid
The outcomes of this episode seem to have way more variables and possibilities, which made it wicked fun. I dug the first episode, but the endgame (pun intended) was ultimately the same as the original Captain America. Peggy Carter is a bad ass but I’m not sure they’ve done her as much justice as they could’ve in the MCU.
I loved the fact that T'challa prevented the snap by talking down Thanos, but Ego in the end took Peter Quill, implying that his plan will succeed, bringing genocide on billions of worlds, Earth included.
This is so early, what the heck.
I definitely teared up at the end of this episode.
The Collector: *"Karina, can I have my bracelet now?"*
The Collection: *"Now listen here you little shit"*
12:50 chills when I heard this
I swear
“The hardest choices requires the strongest wills” - Thanos
T’challa: convinced Thanos by talking 🤣
God this episode was fantastic. Hearing Boseman again as black panther made me cry like a child.
Cap's shield from the weapons locker was also Vance Astro's shield in the original GotG comic, so it doubles as a Guardians reference.
good catch
This episode was way better than the last one!! I really enjoyed this episode
This is how different I wanted the first episode to be and not just a character swap but exploring how different one moment in time could change reality forever! Cried so hard when the dedication to Chadwick Boseman appeared.
The first ep had to be done that way. It was the start of the branching of the multiverse so it had to be somewhat similar to the sacred timeline. This is just a testament to how crazy it's gonna keep getting so brace yourself, and be thankful for the introductory ep.
When Thanos says "I'm not crazy, I'm Mad" it reminded me of Banner/Hulk revealing how he was always angry.
Underneath Cap's shield looks like Loki's helmet.
It might be Hela’s, there are Daggers though that probably belong to Loki. Considering that the Collector killed Hela and possibly even Thor, it’s definitely a possibility that he also killed Loki
It's not. When the panel rises, you can see it's way smaller, and not a helmet. It looks like the Eye of Agamotto.
@@k.teschner9672 the collector put her helmet on, did u even watch the episode?
You're right! I see the points of it!
@@Chapmike That's what i thought as well.
T'Challa is LITERALLY a Guardian of the Galaxy. Way more than the actual Guardians of the Galaxy. Mind blown.
Real talk he's a galaxy hero even the Collector wanted him
That goes to show, you put excellence outside of its intended goal and its still going to be excellence💯
I mean technically the guardians of the galaxy don’t exist so
@@snackpirate_ I mean, the MCU still exists. The events of the sacred timeline still happened. They timeline branched into the multiverse, so that means these things happened or are happening or will happen.

The “not the bees” gag gets me every time lol. One of those things that a newbie to your channel would be like “WTF??!!” Haha
When Nebula tells Kraglin to "punch it" just like what Han tells Chewie is a Star Wars reference.
There are so many Star Wars references in this one. On second watching I also noticed at 15:02 there appears to be the silhouette of an Imperial probe droid
I hope Ego will be a big bad in this series, we will see his true power and where we see the Avengers of the Galaxy against him.
It'll be probably on season 2. Ultron's the bigbad here cuz of the footage from last episode.
Itd be cool seeing Ego go against everyone including Thanos then Thanos takes some notes, his power , then still becoming a MAJOR threat as he said in Endgame "I am inevitable"
might be with the episode with the guardians doing the avengers pose
@@vinckduck9690 what footage

This episode was fun, weird, and wonderful all at the same time. The fact the most of the characters had their original actors voicing them even if some seemed completely out of character. The cameo and easter eggs were great as always, but man it was hard not to tear up at the end. Chadwick Bozeman was an amazing man and will forever be missed.
“Shoot lasers out of your eyes” I thought Cyclops instead of Superman
An introduction to the X-Men.
Yeah, but Cyclops doesn't fly. You may be right, but I was thinking he mentioned both powers in ONE person.
Apparently, it’s a reference to Icarus (newly revealed) who can fly and shoot lasers from his eyes too.
X-Men confirmed!
I liked how they actually didn’t do the whole “Korath The accuser” who thing , since they didn’t do the whole joke cause it’s a alternate universe
This episode was so deep, and so many conversations which remind me of late Chadwick Boseman :(
and so many words we feel he is still present in this vast universe; wherever you are sir, I hope you are doing great
Rest in peace my king :(
Agreed 🤜🤛
Pff yeah
I’m surprised it hasn’t been noted that Korath’s actor, Djimon Hounsou, also provided the voice of T’Challa in the 2010 motion comic.
After watching 20 or so videos, I still get surprised by the "your mom" jokes. Thats a cute ass dog too.
1 ounce of the embers of Genesis can restore a whole dying planet. Just a reminder that it doesn't take much for your whole life to turn around for the better. One hug, one smile, one loving deed can be the "ember of Genesis" that can heal a broken person, causing a chain reaction.
Sometimes it´s just better to die.

WOW
Anyone else's stomach drop when they realized that this could be the last time they see T'Challa? :( Love they dedicated this to him in the end
yes :(
Such a good episode. Lots of feels and positive vibes. The way the world should be!
Just seeing Thanos was the best for me. Even when he's good, he still have a bad speech.
How does he get the name Starlord? For Quill, it was his mother's nickname for him, so why does T'Challa use it?
Good catch!
The scream we hear when thanos is fighting the black order on knowhere in this episode is the same scream when the avengers were fighting thanos on titan in infinity war
You missed Loki's daggers in the weapons chest.
Not a weapons chest but a loot box. The collector pays to win.
There might even be his helmet underneath them even though this could also be Helas. Considering that her helmet had more spikes I’d say it’s Lokis
1:02 The actor who plays Korath the Pursuer (Djimon Hounsou) played T’Challa in 2010 Black Panther animated mini series
If you've ever heard Nelson Mandela speak, I truly believe that Chadwick was doing an impression of Mandela to fashion his Wakanden T'Challa voice. What better way to honor Mandela than to create Mr. Boseman's version of T''Challa for the MCU Black Panther.
I don't know if you meant to do this, but you took some credit away from Thanos. Yes, he had the power stone when he beat the shit out of The Hulk, but he did not use the stone.
I thought just having them made you more powerful.
Correct . The russos mention it too. He is only using the stone when it lights up.
@Joshua Lambert in the comics maybe. In the MCU he's only been confirmed to be a Titan.
When dissecting the hangar full of ships, I thought the one the bottom right wasn’t a quantum ship from Ant-Man but one of the mining pods from Knowhere in Guardians of the Galaxy.
Sounds like Djimon Hounsou had loads of fun on Star Lords introduction twist. I know it's acting but listen to his voice he was very passionate about it. Not like his usual role in his movies where he's more of a mute side character. That alone was definitely supposed to be a twist and nod.
Also I'm pretty sure I'm overthinking it; but the Mandela could also be a nod to the Mandela effect.
And now the brood as an easter egg; quit teasing and just bring the X-Men in. I actually would love to see the GOTG share a scene with Vulcan. It actually would be a perfect introduction with James Gunn directing.
6:06 Im guessing at the end of season one of “What If…” they’re going to be creating a Multiversal Avengers, then it will be connected to Doctor Strange 2, I’m not sure about Spider-Man NWH.
Also this has to be my favorite episode so far.
I know it’s considered canon but did they say it connects to our main MCU timeline yet?

The Collector taking a jab at Brainiac is funny af
14:21 the weapon to the right of Thor's hammer is Loki's Dagger
I love how even though things are happening from alternate perspective the character of the hero stays in tact. I.e. T’Challa being a leader as a king and star lord and Steve Rogers still having heart without the super soldier serum.
This was a brilliant episode the writers really have done their work, I hope it continues to build in future episodes because they've set the bench really high.

Jeez, this episode was an absolute blast. And to end it off with “Space Age Love Song”? Superb!
The bar where T’Challa and Howard sit at the beginning of their ‘tour’ looks suspiciously like the Cantina (Star Wars) - there’s also what I believe is an IG droid behind the bar.
On second watching I also noticed at 15:02 there appears to be the silhouette of an Imperial probe droid
Howard calls the elvish writing “smoo”. In the 90s Jim Henson show “dinosaurs” , smoo is seen as their substitute swear word. Idk if that is a direct reference or not, but I like to think that it is.
You might be right, but go back and listen again. It's tough because the back end of the word is cutoff, but I'm pretty sure he's just saying "total snooze" because the writing is boring. I distinctly hear "sn" and not "sm."

I LOVED Thanos so much
And I so loved hearing Chadwick's voice.
God, finally a breakdown video which i managed to comment kinda earlier
Damn you guys got this video out quick
I just watch the episode
You missed Thanos telling someone his plan of killing half of all life, and that woman says, "Sounds like genocide", Thanos adds, "and Efficient!", Nebula shrugged, "Ugghh!"
What a great episode... awesome to remember Chadwick like this
Since the Collector has Hela’s helm, he probably got Mjolnir from her.
I do think that if there’s one villain who would be swayed by just an argument, it would be Thanos, considering his reasoning was mostly selfless.
I kept trying to predict where it would be. When I heard a couple places it could have fit without it, I let my guard down thinking maybe he left it out of this one. Nope!
Loved the breakdown.. just thinking of searching it. 😜❤️
In the shot with all the ships, you can also see a TIE interceptor in the back from Star Wars
Loved this episode !! How come nobody catched Naimor in one of the colecter’s cages ???
Q: Why isn't T'Challa called 'Star-Prince'? He is actual royalty and that would be a funny callback to when Rhomann called Quill that! (Rather than T'Challa mysteriously picking up Quill's mum's nickname for Quill.)
Great episode Ryan!
I want to see a scene with Korg & The Thing together! It would be so funny!!

Now T'Challa is back in earth, so we now have 2 Avengers formed, Peggy and new Star Lord, rest still to come, this show is fun and Marvel can catch so many stuffs in future if they promote such shows, coz they have whole lots of characters and story which they can modify here and there and people will still connect and it will bring some different spices on the table too.
I liked the 1st episode but this one just blew my mind, the cast including Thanos and Black order returning never ever expected such turns.
Also, my thinking is, after so much of Endgame, WandaVision and Loki, the MCU is gone in a cosmic level, and I enjoy more of such content.
Honestly, ground stories like Falcon and Winter soldiers and Black Widow they are fun to watch coz we know these characters but they don't leave that memory in our mind, which these cosmic stories can, and the excitement of what may comes next.
Coz, EXCITEMENT is what holds the MCU so far, without it, its same as DC.
What gives you the idea that both chapters so far are in the same reality?
This episode was amazing, I was emotional through this episode knowing it was the last thing Chadwick ever did

Nice to see a mellow Thanos, but a bit too much on the wimp side - physically and intellectually. (T'Challa couldn't talk his own cousin into standing down, but could convince the Mad Titan out of his 1000-year obsession?)
But what if?
Thanos changed because he only wanted to make a better future so when Starlord provided satisfactory alternative he stopped. Whereas his brother wanted to rule and make everyone suffer basically revenge.
Besides what if?
