Hobbistar 60 MKIII on Cub Floats 71" wing

OS 70 surpass Nitro 4 stroke swings a 12x8 apc propeller. This is my first attempt at flying a large heavy plane off water. I did have a few takeoffs with a 3s carbon cub off of water but never had success in landing on the small pond.
carl goldberg 60 size floats - kit built. My pre-bent aluminum landing gear had it sitting tall, with the floats lower in the front than ideal. This caused pitch down. Nearly 60 clicks of up trim was put in with still not flying level hands off.
