Wow, I'm not exaggerating when I say this video answered literally all the questions I had about this case, 240 vs 360, front vs top, noise levels, etc. Kudos to you dude! I'm going with the 240 on front with an additional fan on the bottom for my new build as it looks to be the best setup all-around.
Only recently came across your channel a few days ago while researching this case, huge props to you for the insane amount of detail you’ve gone into with this case in every one of your videos. You’ve answered basically every obscure question I had about it and I couldn’t be more reassured. All that’s left now is to choose black or white
Man I'm so happy that you addressed the radiator tubes up / down problem with 360 radiators. Just asked about that under your other video! Keep it up, you don't need to hide from any of the top content creators on RUclips in fact your videos are even more in detail, which I really like.
They are really the best for someone that actually wants to build a pc for the first time. Other channels like Linus are more for entertainment rather than actually teaching everything that we need to know
Amazing review! Extremely detailed and you offer up so many configurations with results. You've helped me figure out which config to go with and I went out and bought this case because of this. It's not everyday I'll watch a 40 minute review video but it was well worth it. Thanks Chris!
you are honestly my favorite case/build guide youtuber out right now, I really appreciate the effort you put into these videos and im sure others do as well. keep it up!
@@ChristopherFlannigan I'm trying this setup "360mm front intake, 2 intake and 3 exhaust (all LL120) with horizontal gpu" and i have a question, is it possible swap 2x120 fans of the stock radiator with 2x140? so you'll have 2x140 and 1x120 in total in the front intake? is it possible? is it convenient? if no why?
Hey Chris, love your content. I enjoy the fact that you don't add very distracting background music in your videos and your complete effort goes into explaining the stuff.
This channel is highly underrated. I have this PC case and this man is VERY detailed on his PC case review of it and even building in it. Great stuff. 👏🏼
Great video. Appreciate your hard work. I'm buying this case + 240mm AIO cooler for front. Your videos are very helpful. Wish i could meet you one day in Wales :)
I have recently resumed my quest for my first pc build after almost 4 years of no progress due to life. Ive caught some sales, thus sparking the project to life (only buying components on sale getting the best pc for the lowest price possible) and well on my way. The first thing I bought years ago was a case, but I found out quickly that it no longer fit the direction I was leaning to in my build. I caught a sale, which happened to be this case, which I hadn't heard of beforehand. After seeing some review videos I became pleased at the choice, but after seeing your build and review videos, not only do I feel confident in the potential for my pc-to-be, but I feel like a damned expert in what I am getting into. You are thorough, and knowledgeable, and I would like to convey my gratitude for that. Keep doing what your doing, sir
Thank you for the exhaustive review. This was excellent, and a perfect resource for people to reference if they need an additional source when deciding on whether to buy this case.
I found your channel when I was looking for a guide to build on the lancool 2 mesh, great channel, straight to the point and clear explanations. My build went smoothly thanks to you!
Wow man, this literally answered all my questions I had for this case. I thought nobody was going to test them in these different configurations, really good review!
Man this video is just perfect. I just bought the Lancool 2 Mesh and you've answered every question I was asking to myself. English is not my native language but it was ok for me to listen. You're so meticulous, keep up with this good work. You have a new follower 👍
Great review. I have this case and it is by far the best complete case. Some have best in one area, while lack in other areas....this one here has exactly everything needed in one, and not over sized but big enough. Just perfect and tops my Gigabyte full tower now!
The most detailed reviews regarding cases and builds! The quality and thought put in these videos is amazing. It really helped my dilemma regarding vertical GPU mounting in my Lancool II Mesh. Keep up the good work!
Hi Christopher. I'm building a pc for myself and one for a pal of mine with this case. What I found out, instead of putting 2x 140mm or 3x 120mm, you can put 2x140 and 1x 120mm fan on the front. I will put Noctua fans inside my build and beef up the build of my pal with the now spare Lian Li fans from my build in a 2x 140mm 1x 120mm front, 1x 140mm top and 1x 120mm back. Thank you a lot with the detailed build!
Your previous videos on the lancool mesh 2 were very helpful for my pc build on the same case. The step by step guide was very informative and professionally made. Thank you!
I'm was looking for those infos beacause I already bought Lian Li Lancool Mesh Performance version and I found your video. So great job! I will be watching for more contents.
Hi, I would like to take this opportunity i really love your videos..you Make one of the best if not the best pc built videos and proper test for consumers like me in terms of aio/air cooler .Keep it up.One minor thing I want to point out is your videos sound is quite "lowish" and i need to crank up my bose speakers more to enable me to hear you better. I tried on other pcs with different speakers ..same thing :) Music in your videos are proper volume level but when you speak is quite low.
Great review. Thanks for all the testing. It help me a lot. I bought that case and for the last 6 months I also all my parts. I followed your instruction for the best configuration. I did test my built and I got similar results. A bit better, but I used intel i9-12900K and all my fan are Nocuta. Thanks again
Re-title this to: 'Scientific analysis of an $80 PC case'. Between this and the other build video, he left absolutely no stone unturned. So after seeing these 2 videos last night, I bought this case today.
Great work on testing all these cooling configurations man. It is very informative and I appreciate it a lot. Keep up the great content and I am looking forward to more build guides.
Love the clarity. Awesome job. I saw the Gamers Nexus video you referenced a while back, and I hate how messy those videos are. Super easy to follow along here.
Man, AIO manufacturers really need to start making longer tubes! I'm thinking of getting the NZXT Kraken Z73 360 and I was wondering before watching this vid if it was possible to have the tube down (front-intake). The tube on that one is also 400 mm, like on the Galahad. Now I know that's too short and it will stretch too much and look awful. Tube up, it is..... Really glad you brought that up, thank you!
So, you prefer this over Pure Base 500DX? The lack of filter in Lancool Mesh II is not something to bother then, I guess. As always, superb review. Thank you for your time and effort. Keep it up!
Best video out there. Just 1 minor thing i'd like to point out. My lancool 2 mesh is with a dark rock pro 4. What i found is that with air cooling you shouldn't use bottom intake fans. Since it introduces heat from the gpu into the towercooler. And a gpu doesn't thermal throttle in a high airflow case like this one, so no need for bottom intake. Still a front AIO would be best for this case but i mention it for people who aircool their cpu and like the case like i do.
Great video! Also watched the full 2.5hrs build vid :) Subbed! One question. What would you think of changing the two top fans to intake or only the top front one to intake. It could help coolling the vrm/ram a bit.
Something I wish reviewers had mentioned about this case before I bought it is that the HDD caddies are badly designed. No noise-dampening at all on them; the SSD mounts have provided noise-dampening grommets (WHY?), but nothing for the spinners. As a result, they're going to be quite loud, I ended up just stacking my 3 HDDs, separated by some wrapped velcro.
Thank you so much for the well thought out review. I was really confused as to what fan setup I should use (this is my first build) and you made it simple to follow. Subscribed and liked!
If you're not going to mount a drive on the rear bottom door, just swap it with the front so you can hide the psu and cables. I did that and it fits perfect. Both doors are exact same size.
Welp you've definitely helped me make my decision on what cooler to put in the case. I think I'm going to try (when I get the money) to purchase a 240mm Lian Li Galahad so I can hide the cables but still have that nice look of the Galahad. Great vid!
Between you and Gamers Nexus, I would be an idiot not to get this case, which is why I ordered it for my son's build. Like all the other parts it is sold out, but we are bonding with this build, thank you for your depth!
Thanks for the informative video. I really appreciate the effort and tabulation of different configurations possible for this case. About mounting tubes up. I understand completely. You could standby some distilled water and mayhems corrosion inhibitors if the pump ever fails and service on your own. All the best to ypur channel!
The extra noise with the tubes up only starts when air accumulates in the system, which could take a few years. As for the "suprsising" results, you get, most seem to be only by 1 degree which is probably within your error bars, so not significant.
I just completed a build in that exact case and it wasn't too bad. Had to drill out the rivets in the top for easier access. Wish it came with a fan hub.
Same as others you answered every question I had. Now I just need to keep my H100i V2 and not bother installing the 280mm AIO I bought. Another great video, thanks for making it 👍🏻
Found this review after coming across the Lancool III fan setup one. I have this case and wish I had found this video sooner. I basically came to the same results you did but I only had the 240 rad to play around with. I found that the bottom fans help but not enough for my build to bother as I too like having my card mounted in the vertical position and placing the veritcal mount in the raised position looks terrible to me. Yes it runs a degree or two hotter but after watching your Lancoool III review I wonder if I can offset that with a push/pull setup on my rad.
Probably the best detailed review I've encountered, thanks! You just got a new subs. I've bought the case, and considering buying arctic liquid freezer II 360mm. My plan is to use it in push pull configuration, with the stock aio fans as pull, and the stock case rgb fan as push, so I can maintain the rgb look. There's should be enough space right? Also, would it have good performance? I know the case rgb fans is not really high performer...
performance vs rgb are the same except no fan controller, 2x140mm fans instead of 3x120mm (like 3x120mm fit more but many believe 2x140mm runs quieter)
I bought this one, but WHITE. Wonderful. I recomend, no doubt man. I'm using with my RYZEN 9 5950X, ASUS GTX 1660 OC, ASUS ROG STRIX X570-E GAMING, 128GB Tgroup, amazing machine to work with CAD/DataScience/AI/GIS and so on.
Amazing video honestly. Answered so many questions I had in detail. The timestamps also make it so much easier to watch. I’m going to get this case and put a 240 in the front. I just save the fans that came with my radiator and use the front case fans as intake correct?
Christopher Flannigan ok thanks, but would having it in a push pull and introducing 2 new fans greatly increase the noise level? Trying to keep it relatively silent.
@@ChristopherFlannigan So I'm considering doing this. if I am understanding you correctly, should I leave the 3 stock fans that come with the case at the front, move the 2 fans with AIO to the back and put the radiator between? When it comes to other case fans, should i have 3 exhaust fans then (2 top 1 rear)?
@@ChristopherFlannigan This sounds like the best setup considering looks and performance. Do you know if it would be possible to fit a 280 with tubes down, psu shroud lid closed and 120mm fans in the front attached to the bracket? Found these photos (pcpartpicker.com/b/wfPnTW) but I'm not sure if the 280 can be raised a bit higher.
@@ChristopherFlannigan Found another relevant build (pcpartpicker.com/b/VtL2FT). Looks possible but the psu shroud lid might be asking a bit too much. Anyway, thanks for the reply and great content :)
Thank you for a great, detailed review. I'm stuck between this and the be quiet! Pure Base 500DX. There is a multitude of questions I have but which is your preference overall? I like your configuration of the Be quiet case with the push/pull rgb behind the mesh.
Loved the detail about the case. I know this was earlier and I am considering a new build with this case. Have you done this type of testing with the new I9 1200K, and a RTX 3080. Would love to hear your take on how this works with this case.

So i am going to buy this case and use the amd 5 3600xt processor with the amd wraith spire stock cooler. The GPU is going to be mounted horizontally. I plan to use the stock case fans as intake, obviously :D. What kind of configuration would you recommend me? Would 2 outtake fans be enough? I actually don't want to spend too much money. Thank you for a great, detailed review. I'm stuck between this and the be quiet! Pure Base 500DX. There is a multitude of questions I have but which is your preference overall? I like your configuration of the Be quiet case with the push/pull rgb behind the mesh.
That is exactly what I was looking for. I have the same case and was wondering if a 360 mm AIO will fit.
Loved the detail about the case. I know this was earlier and I am considering a new build with this case. Have you done this type of testing with the new I9 1200K, and a RTX 3080. Would love to hear your take on how this works with this case.
Subbed! Quality channel mate
have one question for you! your MB have pci 4.0?? if yes, did you change in bios for gen 3? because the cable of the kit jsut suports 2gen and 3 gen..
very good video!
keep the good work
cheers
Hey Christopher! First of all, thank you for this video. You answered a lot of questions I had about this case.
Thanks in advance
@@ChristopherFlannigan thank you very much for the quick answer. I will send you a picture of my case, when I'm done :D
