Fortunately, the chances of having your ice cream contaminated is extremely slim, but I will always agree that there's no excuse to not include a protective seal. I never had Edy's peppermint, but I ate a lot of Edy's mint chocolate chip growing up and loved it.
I don't mind ice cream containers that don't have an exterior or interior plastic seal. The process that Blue Bell or Guernsey uses basically creates its own seal via the filling process. They are filled to the brim, then the lid squeezes out all of the air. If a carton of Blue Bell has had the lid removed, you can see that, because the lid is crinkled around the edges.
Peppermint stick isn’t something I’d enjoy year round but every winter, it seems to just hit the spot! I’ve never seen this brand around here but they sound lovely (minus the lack of seal). Thanks for trying these!! Have a very Merry Christmas! 🎄🎁
I completely understand your rule. I wouldn’t be able to eat ice cream that is not sealed. There are some crazy people out there who know what they’re sticking in there…
I know/think you've guys reviewed President's Choice before, the Canadian brand? I wish you guys could try their candy cane ice cream I think you guys would really like it cuz it's not toothpastey it's super sweet with like those silky chocolate shavings and they have those fruit things in them and they still have their crunch! Anyways.. lol nice review again !
The only reason the peppermint was changed was because Edys sold to Breyers and Breyers changed Edys recipe. To bad they did because I won't buy any ice cream made by Breyers now.
Edy's wasn't sold to Breyers. Edy's is marketed as DREYER'S in Western US (similar to Hellmann's & Best Foods, or Hardee's & Carl's Jr). Edy's is owned by Nestle, Breyer's is owned by Unilever. So yay! You can go back to eating all the Edy's!
@@WeberIMayRoam Thanks for reminding me. I keep saying Breyer's when I speak of Edy's and I don't know why. Maybe it is my old age catching up to me. Thanks again.😊
Yeah I stopped buying ice cream that is not sealed thanks to the idiots who would go around licking ice cream and putting it back on the shelves for someone else to buy.
I may or may not have dropped a candy cane on the ground yesterday and picked it up and popped it in my mouth. However an unsealed container I would have thrown in the trash and livid. Freaks me out
I’ve never heard of this brand. I feel like so many brands have changed their recipe over the years and they just ruin it. The Peppermint does sound good. Thanks for a great review.
Happy holidays to all the Dunn followers. Hope you all have an amazing and relaxed time 🎄
Happy Holidays to you too!!! 🎄
Haaaapppy holidays!!!
MERRY CHRISTMAS 🎄

As long as you are comfortable with it, that’s all that matters 😊

Thank you 🤗
Funny, Guernsey is an island in the English Channel 🤣 They do sound good haha. I'd be all over the mint tub! Merry Christmas from Denmark 🥰

Merry Christmas for tomorrow, have a great day spending time with the family. The mint sounds like the one for me. Thanks for the review.
