Totally agree mate, Euge is a no bullshit riff god.
what really works in a mix with dense guitars, is rythm a little fizzy in the 8-10Khz to have presence and forwardness and lead sound low pass around 6-7khz with gentle push in the 1-1.2khz range.
Depends on the mix but in general those usually work pretty well and are at least good starting points to fine tune to work with the mix in question 👌. And it’s of course a matter of personal taste 😎🎼.

Yeah can’t wait to get back on the road again with Cyhra. We released our second album in late 2019 and managed to do just 4 tours (Mainland Europe + UK, UK, Sweden & Finland) and were supposed to tour all over the world in 2020-21. But we’ll just start were we left off when it’s possible. I hope 😎🙏.

Got them when it’s was released and they’re truly excellent IR-s. The clean IR-s in this pack is hands down the best clean IR (for metal/rock type of music) I’ve tried and it’s worth getting the pack only for those imho. It includes what you need for mixing guitars, good rhythm, lead and clean IR-s.

Euge, your "signature" Valovirtuous IR has become my favourite all-rounder IR. What I have found is that it works equally well for leads AND rhythm, although the pack is tailored for lead guitar.

@@EugeValovirta230V IMHO it's the perfect IR for Doom & Gothic Metal, where the rhythm guitar has a lot of single notes. Power chords sound huge and focussed, single notes are very upfront and balanced. Love it!

I don’t really write them but just noodle until I get something I like. Sometimes it’s the first take and sometimes not 😁.
I use mostly minor & major pentatonics, blues scale, diatonic modes, chromatics, symmetrical shapes and most often than not all mixed together at the same time 😁.

The new pack sounds great! I have tons of IR packs, but always looking for new sounds especially mix ready. Any recommendation between the 2 (Euge, Jens)? I was leaning towards the Rhythm pack but if the new IR tops the SOGEQ2, man that may be the one since you mention it works on Rhythm as well! I may have to spring for both! They are both awesome and I haven’t used anything else since the Rhythm pack came out 👌.
I basically use ’Valovirtuous’ on everything like I use ’SoG2’ as well 😎.

On some albums it’s just only one guitar overall but usually 1L / 1R plus melodies, additional gtrs, leads etc. On Shining’s X - album I recorded 2L / 2R Rhythm guitars which was probably the only time I’ve done that.
So anything to just one guitar track old school Van Halen style (for example my solo album & Godsplague’s 2nd album) to multiple tracks 😎. Totally depends on the song, arrangement, mix, production etc. But in general my rule of thumb is: ”What serves the song the best”.
This makes me really excited to pick it up.
I like the Rhythm pack already so much, that I almost regret ever spending money on ML Sound Lab IRs, even though they’re amazing as well, but the Bogren IRs just demolish everything else...

@@saadshah7857 I captured the whole chain. From cab, through pre amps and analogue EQ to make it work in a mix. When creating IR's I noticed that you can shape the tone much better in the analog world first, then capture an IR. EQing an already capture IR just does not react the same way to my ears. Cheers!

Hi Euge, I'm a huge fan of your channel and band. Can you use the IR's straight after the preamp and still have a good sound? I'm not sure what the impact of the power amp is on the sound. Thanks!
Glad to hear thanks! I guess it depends of the preamp, IR and what are you aiming for. If you get what you’re aiming for / hear in your head with those then it’s a good sound. ”If it sounds good it’s good”.

My signature IR is an oversized Mesa w/ V30s mic’d with three different mics into a high quality mic preamp. I have no idea about the others except that they’re great and that’s all I care 😎👌.

How do I use this? I have the one knob which is pretty easy, but this needs some amp? Is there any free one I can use?
You can use these IRs with the One Knob by just changing the IR that comes with it to one of these. For example.
Have you got any idea what cabs and speakers were used to create those IRs?
Yes and no. The idea is that people would use just their ears, and not any presumptions, to choose the IRs that sounds the best in any given situation. That’s why Jens haven’t addressed what was used and I agree.
I didn’t know what was used to create for example the ”Valovirtuos” IR until I was satisfied and then I asked that btw.

Jens included a bit of information in the documentation but he leaves you guessing. The point is that he also included post processing and other outboard gear (EQ, etc) in the equation, to make it "mix ready" so to speak. I really like these IR's btw (I also did a small video on my channel).

V30s. I belive I went through the signal chain in the video? But if I didn’t probably really basic: guitar-pedalboard-amp-reactive load / IR - audio interface.

I have just bough and tried this pack. IT SUCKS. The IR's are harsh as hell and far way from being mix ready. I have lost 27,90 €. Worst ir's ever tried. I've been fooled by the fuckin marketing. WTF! 🤬
I guess it’s about personal preferences. I’ve used these IRs, and Bogren’s in general, on many productions & mixes I’ve done and like them a lot. Obviously ’cos otherwise I wouldn’t have used those 😁.
