This is one of the best reviews I've ever seen, no background music or bs. Straight to the point and greatly helped sway my decision towards buying one. Thanks!
Outstanding review. No 'spectacular' intro and no background music. Superb! I am deciding between the P53 and the P73. Could you perhaps comment on these 2 machines? Thanks again and a definitive 'thumb up'.
Keep in mind that the P53 doesn't have a removable battery AFAIK. The basically sole advantage the P53 has over the P52 is improved GPU power, so depending on what you want, the P52 might be better. Especially since it's probably cheaper. The P7x are just massive, so less portable, more power and screen. For me the P5x are being the most I'd go for laptops, as any more is just not portable enough. It's always a compromise between power and portability.
3:40 - The function button and the ctrl can be swapped through a BIOS setting. But it's still not ideal, because of course even though the functions are swapped the labeling on the buttons is not. But it's much beter that the default. I got ThinkPad T540p and the keyboard is identical. I think in this much more expensive laptop they wouldn't skip this setting. Also I don't know about this model but back when T540p was a new, people complained that the 'F' buttons that also act as function buttons were function buttons by default. Therefore if you want to press F1 for example, you'd have to press Fn + F1 otherwise you'd get the function... That is also changeable in the BIOS.
The discrepancy in battery-life is because Lenovo offers several different sizes of external batteries. That review unit has the smallest and Lenovo was using the largest in their reporting. That and the 4K screen.
Excellent video. I bought one of these this year, its still a bear of a laptop pc lol. Mine has a cellular modem and I'm struggling to figure out where the SIM card slot is. I may look under the battery when it's not busy lol. It also has a smartcard security card reader and i think an nfc reader too. Not sure how to make use of NFC It's an unusual thing to have in a laptop for sure!
Lenovo has proven to me over the years that they are durable , reliable , strong . I will not buy anything but Lenovo , the removable battery is a big deal. I hate touch screens though , the lenovo keyboards are one of the best features. I like the shape of the keys, the way it cradles your finger and it gives a nice response with out being too clicky , they have just enough travel space for comfortable typing with ease . The looks of them hasn't changed much , I was happy when they came out with the X1 Carbon , very nice looking machine. I have optane memory running in mine , and its saved me money because I didn't have to add extra RAM .
The Lenovo mobile workstation lineup are great machines. I enjoy using them when I need to build a virtual labs on the go. If you have it equipped with enough memory and storage - Wow!
Great video. Please tell me which thinkpad to buy so that it is as powerful and productive as this P52 , but so that it is still autonomous , I want to install Linux and work as a DevOps engineer
There is a campus model available. It's over 300 bucks cheaper than the cheapest normal model, and has more storage. Just bought one, but it's unavailable already in many places. Don't know where you're from, but maybe look in one of these.

Heyy! I hope someone helps me to solve my issue : I bought refurbished laptop it is Lenovo P52 (Intel i7 8th Gen, 16GB Ram, Nvidia P1000 Quadro 4GB Vram) everything is perfect and it is jn good condition (physically) but when use editing software like Davinci, Capcut or any other high requirement software my laptop shows up black screen and shut downs automatically. All the games are lagging even on the low settings. Roblox, Minecraft, Fortnite, CSGO and many other games give 10-20 FPS on lowest setting possible I would definitely appreciate if someone tell me the solution, Thank You :)
worst laptop i had... one problem each 3 month,, keybord, dock, screen, sound, on off. etc.... now warranty is finished and impossible to find parts . the last problem is fan ... i had lenovo for many years, next will be other
Once again lenovo keeps shiping with short power cables and other cheap solutions that makes theyr computeres very unconveniant, and ofcourse they look extremly cheap and ugly as well. I just can not fathom what is wrong with this company. Invest a little in the user experiance ffs.

10 inches by 6 inches trackpad would be ridiculous, but so is 10 centimeters to 6 centimeters.
great job man, keep doing what you doing.👍

Thinkpad P52 is the kind of laptop you can use for 20 years, without wanting to buy somthing new.
5 years definitely.
Remember, the weight is 6lbs+ with chargers. If you are constant traveler, this may be a deal breaker.

Might want to double check your units. Weight and size are wrong.
I noticed when he mentioned the track pad measurements as 10in when it was cm. Lol
I would purchase this but for a student is just expensive.
