The first part of getting help is admitting you need it know sane person would eat vegan bacon
Why would you give up meat but try to replicate and the flavors, texture, taste, and smell of meat.

@@print-diot The number of vegans have been growing at a fast rate and has caused a LOT of slaughter houses to reduce product (due to lack of demand) and a LOT of dairy farms to completely shut down..so try again.
@@mistypedhiIn america... Our country here gives no fucks we mix vegan options WITH meat so we dabble on fun lmao. We mix pork with curry jackfruit, though if you're vegan don't use any mear and just use some fried tofu.
This recipe is great! I folded my rice paper sheets in half so the end result was a bit thicker and chewier but still crunchy on the ends. I only put it in the oven for maybe 5 minutes but everyone’s oven is a bit different
But does it still taste mostly like bacon? I've only been a vegetarian since october

@@raven4442 Rice isn’t what we’ve evolved to eat, it is a filler and can stave off hunger but it is absent of every key nutrient. It’s also a farcry to compare relatively untreated and unprocessed rice to something completely processed. Like I said, this is not food fit for human consumption. It’s not me saying it, but nature. Do what you want and will, I didn’t make the rules.

@@UnitedStatesOfAmerica138 banana peels are commonly skinned and dried to be used to roll joints. Similarly to how tobacco leaves are used to roll woods.

The final products look so real they don’t even look like they’re made from plants
I made this next to actual bacon and honestly I like the real stuff more by itself, but the vegan bacon is personally way better for blt’s because the crunch is more consistent

I can see that. I never really like bacon on it’s own but in a sandwich or something. Try crumbling them on a wedge salad! Thanks for the honest feedback 👍🏼

The crunch though 🤤 I'm definitely putting this on my to try list. It's probably cheaper than real bacon too and easier on the stomach.
Edit: For people telling me that bacon is healthy, I understand. But beef bacon isn't tasty, and turkey bacon is a hit or miss. Pork makes me ill.

Btw, these r the ingredients:
*INGREDIENTS*
*Rice Paper* - Obviously we need rice paper for these! They are often labeled as spring roll wrappers too. I can find them at most grocery stores in the “Asian” section, and you should be able to find them at any East Asian Market like 99 Ranch.
*Neutral Oil* - any neutral flavored oil will do!
*Soy Sauce* - for some umami and color. Use Tamari for GF.
*Liquid Smoke* - To make it smoky! If you can’t find this stuff use more smoked paprika.
*Maple Syrup* - A little sweetness to balance out all the salty smokiness!
*Sriracha* - I like to add a little heat to mine.
Nutritional Yeast - For added umami of course!
*Garlic & Smoked Paprika* - Because this rice paper ain’t gonna season itself!
*MSG* - optional but recommended for some added flavor.
Not sure if it's healthy but I have been wondering about apple wood seasonings and others like it, I bet it would taste good adding it to the rice paper recipe.
For me, "Tah-day!" is this channel's catchphrase. I say it after clicking on a video hoping it starts out with that 😂

I love rice paper bacon! Sometimes I just make the bacon sauce and use it as a dressing instead of making bacon. lol
The sauce is the only thing with flavour in this after all

I've never met a vegan who tried to push their views on people who eat meat, but as a vegan I've met lots of meat eaters who shoved THEIR views down my throat and tried to argue with me/made fun of me when all I said was "Oh no, thank you! It looks really tasty and I'm so sorry, but I'm vegan so I can't eat it!"

fried rice paper is also a great crispy snack, get a pan or pot of nice hot oil and toss the sheets in, they crisp up immediately and are sooo crispy and good with some seasoning
edit: no need to rehydrate the sheets just toss them in the oil

As A Muslim who's being forbidden eating pork, I see this as an absolute win.
(In Islam, we're not supposed to eat pork, well to keep our health safe, and not be accused of being "picky". You can eat halal bacon (like the turkey version one or beef bacon ones) )

Halal usually refers to the treatment of animals as well as dietary restrictions, but this dish is still not halal as it wasn't made with animal products.

fried rice paper is one of my favorite snacks. i do it without marinade and just sprinkle seasoning on it too!
I'm not going to lie. Some vegans looked at meat and said: I'm going to make this without harming animals.
Basically what I'm saying is it's amazing on how they can make meat look like meat with just plants. I hope it taste as good as it looks.
