FUN Uncrowded beginner size waves in Bali - Nusa Dua

- Day 2 in Nusa Dua and the waves have picked up. I surfed it alone for about 3 hours (there was 1 other bloke for about 30mins). Waves were great, lefts giving up to 5 turn sections! Amazing that these little unknown breaks are around with no one on them.

Don't worry about the water droplet, you are in water! You found surfing heaven, must be really difficult to come out of that water and turn your back on it, haha

Thanks for the content. Have you ended up preferring the phoenix to the sub zero? Looking at both as small wave board option.
Hey Geoff! Thanks mate. Hmmm after riding the sub xero I thought it was better, then I rode the Phoenix in Bali and loved it all over again. I’ve been riding the sub xero again since I’ve been back and realise that I love them both for different reasons. But if I had to recommend one it would be the sub xero just because it performs a bit better in really small stuff.
That being said I haven’t ridden the Phoenix as eps so maybe that’s even better again!?

Hey everyone, thanks for watching. Sorry about the water droplets. My GoPro 8 glitched and I took my 10 out and the lens cover sucks.

Yeah the lense on the 10 sucks. I wish I had my 8 again. The fact that you have to burn the lense on the 10 to stop water droplets is obscene...................
@@olmanboog the 8 lens is great but the camera is so buggy. Always glitches. I’m happy with the 10 now I’ve burnt it 48 times haha
I honestly think the 10 looks worse for POV surfing than the 8. Weird contrast and colors. Lens cover is awful too haha
Man it’s weird hey. The 8 is so buggy though, it always glitches and it always happens on the best wave haha! I’ve fixed the lens problem finally on the 10 by burning it repeatedly with a lighter to burn the coating off. Took so many times to get it off and now it’s super clear!
I’m thinking next GoPro I’m going to get one of the stripped back ones, I need it to do one thing and that’s it.
@@joshtraceysurfing I just ordered a GoPro 9 lens cover 😂 weird that GoPro works with so many big time surfers and I’d imagine surfing is a huge reason why they put that waterproof coating on to begin with and they missed big time.
@@_aidan_b yeah I was chatting to Noz about it and he did the same thing. Burning it worked too but took many many goes. Like more than 15. My next 3 videos will have water drops unfortunately.
Yeah I agree, whatever they did they need to reverse it. Or have lense cover options without it

Man last time a surfed a reef break in Nusa Dua there were only 4 people including my mate. There were many different breaks also. Unfortunately my leash snapped though and the paddle seemed like 20 minutes to get out!
It’s a great spot and was just as quiet when i surfed there. Some of the breaks required a boat ride but I was lucky enough that these waves were like 5 mins paddle… but you can’t surf at low tide.
