  • I'm on a family trip and managed to score some small but super fun waves out the front of my resort. Actually turned out to be a sick set up for a family holiday, Wife and kids in the pool and dad out scoring some waves. This was from my session on Day 1.

Thanks for watching! I know this isn't your typical Bali surf, I was right at the end of the season. I wasn't looking to surf Ulus or Kuta reef etc as I was on a family holiday so this was perfect for my needs. Next video the waves are better!

Probably for the best, if the waves were firing it would be hard to think of anything else haha

Great clip Josh, you got the right idea in mind, always better to surf a peak that’s slightly worse and get more waves. Enjoy the trip mate 👍

@@joshtraceysurfing i've always been scared to go to bali because i see wave videos for pro people. and I thought I wouldn't be able to surf those conditions, but you can certainly see from your video that the intermediate x places are there

Gorgeous place! I was in Huntington Beach yesterday watching a surfing contest and the water was terrible! Dirty, choppy, onshore winds. Total opposite of what you just showed us.

Hi mate, great vid. this looks so fun!
Im staying with my family further north at grand mirage and trying to work out surf spots i can sneak off to, i dont suppose you know of any beach breaks up that way? I guess i can always scooter down to the headland.
Any info would be much appreciated, thx for the clips!

Hey mate what time of year are you going? If it’s not say between November and April it will be blowing onshore pretty much everyday.
There seems to be a bunch of breaks all the way along the beach, some you need a boat and some you don’t. I think there is a couple north of this spot that can be paddled but I didn’t surf them.
Just be mindful the current is really really strong, even on small days.
That being said, the left in this video was super fun, recommend if you can get there. Can’t surf it at low tide.
      Good luck! 👍🏻

Nice clip. Can you recall which resort you were at? I'm on a family trip to the Westin Nusa Dua and am trying to work out the surf options. Hopefully something off the beach as I won't have time to get a boat anywhere...

Hey mate, there are waves out the front of where you are staying. I was at the grand Hyatt which is south of the 2 headlands near your resort. I was surfing the left out the front of that. I just paddled out, 5 min paddle. There’s some other videos there on my channel. One video the waves are glassy and super fun and I surfed it by myself for like 2 hours!
