I think Windows 10 is more for the computers with touch screen applications...we use it for our home desk top (no touch screen) and it seems to work alright....
I have a old Toshiba Satellite I got from best buy back in 2006. I just don't have the money right now to buy a newer 2016 laptop, and since I use my Lumia 640 phone a lot I never saw a need to. But every month I always download the Windows 10 update on my laptop and a day after I do a factory reset back to Win7 lol
+Ladee Ember and Van Isle Gunnut: We've been running Linux Ubuntu for over a year on our two desktop computers and haven't looked back. You don't have the gargantuan selection of programs, but as a voice over artist, I use Libre Office to write my scripts and Audacity to record them in my home studio. My partner works as a graphic designer/prepress technician. He still runs Mac at work along with Windows, while running Linux at home for his animations. Having used all three on a daily basis, he prefers Linux. On a more relevant note to this particular video (which is very informative by the way) we hope to move into fulltime RV living (in 2020) around Vancouver's lower mainland, doing the same sort of work.

+Norm K. I agree! I didn't have issue with the interface, but rather the nuts and bolts of the OS when connecting with WiFi.

+You2nosey I hid the Windows update KB 3035583 from windows update list to get it to stop nagging me.
Not to mention the renewal fees?
oh .. *rolls eyes* .. even better. I'm sticking with Win7 ... unless I go the Linux route.

I opted not to take the free bait after much research!!! I will stick with windows 7 for now. I do love Linux on my other lt's too
