My favorite Supreme Supreme song 🎵 is Back In His Arms how can Mary tell what to do when she lost her love so true and Flo she don't know cause the boy she loves in a romano
She always presented herself as a lovely lady always , and carried herself very well in the public eye."Her" personal life was just that......"hers".Love their music!❤😊
I respect your perspective, and I respect it. I tend to feel it was Florence Ballard. When she left the group, that group was never the same. Not to discredit Cindy Birdsong, she didn't have the persona and mystique of Florence Ballard.
There will never be anyone like Mary Wilson. She was the best Supreme, the most talented and most beautiful one; Tom Jones and Mary Wilson were two of the most beautiful people on earth at the time. I cannot even imagine the chemistry between them. They did truly love one another.
Hi. Any gemetria/numerologists watching this... Ms. Wilson was 76 & Flo Ballard passed away in 1976. There's other numerological p a u s e s watching this, I'm sure u noticed. R.i.P. Beautifuls. 💛💜💖
It was said that out of the number of affairs tom jones had mary wilson was the one he almost left his wife for but he promised his wife he would never divorce her.
Mary didn’t sing lead on ANY singles while Diana Ross was still in the group she sang background vocals with Florence and later Cindy,Mary sang some lead on album cuts after Diana left she sang leads on singles
She sang lead on album cuts before Diana left. "It Makes No Difference Now", "Baby Don't Go", "Our Day Will Come", "Come and Get These Memories" and "Can't Take My Eyes Off You".
@@JJN259 with all due respect l said she didn’t sing or share on any singles releases when Diana was still in the group yes Mary sang many leads on album cuts including Falling IN Love With Love on The Supremes Sing Roger’s and Hart album
@@cub1955 - yes, was just adding that she did sing some leads on album cuts before Diana left. You mentioned that she sang leads on album cuts after Diana left. No argument intended.
@@JJN259 In addition, she also sang lead on "Pretty Baby" (with The Primettes), "Davy Crockett", partial lead on "Sunset", "The Christmas Song" and "Falling In Love With Love". I am not familiar with any of her leads after Florence left since I stopped listening to or buying any of their records at that point.
Think Mary Wilson was the prettiest then Ballard, think Diana Ross became a "superstar" because she was the most ambitious, and had the right connections, read about her affair with Tom Jones, how could she not know he was married, long time, sad about Wilson's losing her son, so young. Like the song "the Happening"
I was in my 20's when all of this happened with the Supremes. It is correct that Barry Gordy favored Diana Ross over the other 2 singers in the group, but it was because Diana had her rare talent, something Gordy knew would make him money as her manager. The other 2 girls had mediocre singing talent at best, so he got rid of them in order to turn Diana into the star she became. If you listen to some of the music Florence and Mary made independent of Diana, and each other, you will understand why Gordy had no interest in them. Mary also always suffered from intense jealousy of Diana's talent and eventual fame, making snide, ugly remarks about Diana up until the day Mary died!
This video is full of lies and contradictions, as well as old, old recycled "news" and "facts". It was stated that Mary was born in Mississippi but she was later called a Detroit native. Her husband was not Puerto Rican, he was Dominican. It was also stated that she left and disbanded the group in 1977 and then later it was stated that this occurred in 1976. Mary Wilson did not sing lead on "When The Lovelight Starts Shining Through His Eyes", "Come See About Me' "Love Is Like An Itching In My Heart" or "The Happening".
You need to do your fact checking you’ve got so much incorrect information. It’s, I can’t even think of a word except if I were you, I would delete this video and start over after you’ve done your research.

She was a great backup for DIANA!!!
Mary Wilson of my name for them, the Supremettes had no animosity in her heart for none of the women in the group.

Mary Wilson didn't sing lead on any single releases throughout the 1960's. "Touch" was the first single release that Mary shared a lead on.
Ok
She didnt know he was married? What difference did that make? When she found out he was she continued the affair anyway lllloooool. Bless. RIP 🙏🏽
Diana and Mary had a thing for married men in their early 20’s lol. They later grew out of that phase lol

No this wrong Diana's lead on all😂
Mary was great. Ross was the worst. Flo had a tough time in the spotlight.
