CAN'T EMPHASIZE ENOUGH THANK YOU FOR GOING THRU ALL THIS AND POSTING THE RESOLUTION, THIS SHOULD HAVE MORE LIKES TO BE THE FIRST RESULT AND SAVE EVERY ONE A TON OF GARBAGE SEARCH RESULTS
Bought my STANDARD brand at oriellys. Ran out to check after your vid. They gave me SWS131 and the tang matched your original broken 2007 tang orientation. I went ahead with the swap and it worked great. Thanks for having this up so we can catch these faults before we get in trouble. Now if I could only find pins and bushings for my crawler!
Where do I begin... first off Sir, for your first video you chose a great subject! Many people(including myself) have done the same exact thing, going to the dealership, getting the wrong parts/runaround from all the parts stores, online research by cross referencing part numbers , considering 6pin vs 8pin fitment options. RUclips has several videos that lightly touch on the subject, but your video damn near covers everything you need to know! I said all that to say this, great job. My 2007 Suburban and I thank you.
O'Reilly auto parts employees some smart parts guys for sure. Here in dayton we have a guy that works at the hub O'Reilly's and he literally is called"hard to find Gab", because he can find your part and he knows parts that cross over just in his head... Really smart guy
A lot of these parts stores guys don't give a damn bout customers only there for a check and know nothing about cars. I've actually been told by a guy one time at an Advanced auto that they are not really allowed to give advice about your vehicle problems cause they're not certified auto technicians and the company can be held liable, its like mcds workers that never grilled a burger in their lives but hey they get hired anyway 🙄
Bill! You're the Man!! thank you. I could not find this part anywhere! I ordered the ACDELCO and BAM! it worked! You saved me a lot of money. Keep the videos coming thanks gain!
So I'm having the stabiltrak light come on and I have to get my obII reader and delete codes and then It will work again like nothing for a while but it also says by 2nd Bank of 02 sensor needs to be replaced you think I need to replace this or what else should I take a look at it kinda sounds like it's misfires sometimes thanks for the help You think i should change my parts as well
So I'm wondering which part you got the six of the eight pin and where you got it at and if you are able to install it and get it to work so the stability track traction control was resolved?
Don’t mind me saying, but please always remove the ground battery cable first, not the live one. Note, you can’t short the ground cable to any surrounding ground surface near the battery, and so, no sparks, etc. Just for safety’s sake. Good video, very informative! Thanks.
My 07 Escalade with 210,000 miles was always Binging and chiming Stabilitrak reduced power, I found after months of buying and doing many things in the end it was the negative cable power sensor. I purchased the entire ground cable with sensor. Drove over one year and 15 thousand miles later not one light or sound... Items tried with no success Brake light switch no luck two days later comes back, Steer wheel angle sensor no luck. Cleaned every ground connection on the frame there is two hard basterds up front passenger side still no luck. Truck underneath looks like the day it was built a Las Vegas vehicle, I even added two new grounds no luck I went so far as having the trucks computer looked at still same crap. I read every person findings is different. With what I know and did by replacing both Positive and negative cables with power sensor $160 bucks money well spent. I even purchased a new battery that did nothing.
I have this issue now to ..2013 suburban the lights came after I did a complete twin turbo ls and 6L90 trans swap...I'm running 1200 hp in 4 wheel drive
Would this work on a 2008 GMC Sierra 1500 crew cab? I bought part number ACDelco 20910871 and it fits but I still get stabilitrac/traction control error. And the original part from my truck, the middle piece spins and the ACdelco part I purchased does not spin..its secured in place...and it is an 8 pin and my original was a 6 pin.
So apparently they came out with a third design, part 19118404. Went to the dealer today and he asked which one I need, the 403 or 404. So now I wonder if this new design supersedes the other one or if they are completely different. I have a 2010 2500 HD.
Thanks for explaining the pin I installed one on an 06 avalanche part from rockauto, but I never saw any instructions on the pin , but do I pull the pin before or after I disconnect the battery , by the way I am driving with the pin in, lol thanks for any info.
I did everything suggested. Part fit like a charm and all. But the code is not clearing. The moment I touch the steering wheel the code is coming back on.
All you have to do is slide that part on the shaft and turn it until it lines up. It’s not the wrong tang or whatever the heck you called it. I just replaced one on my truck today it looked exactly like the Amazon one I slid it on the shaft turned it until it lined up and snapped it in works like a champ.
After you start the car and the code comes back up on all the time do what he said turn the car off disconnect the battery reconnect the battery turn the key on turn the wheel to the right hold it for 5 seconds turn the wheel back all the way to the left for 5 seconds turn it back to the middle position it in the middle by itself then turn the key off and the code is gone forever
Do you think this same attempt will work for an 08 escalade ext with the same discontinued sensor??? I bought a position sensor for 2014 escalade. I need that same luck. Reply please!
Yes. I finally found a mechanic that would look into it and not just guess random things. He replaced all the speed sensors and reset everything and it's been fine since
Great job on the video Sir. You mentioned this newer part will work on a range of different year vehicles. I have a 2006 Chevy Tahoe, and I may have the same problem! Can you or is there a way to confirm?
I had the same problem, I just pulled the fuses and no problems now. Dealer already pulled a fuse relating to the suspension system, vehicle wouldn't shut off. My electronic ride is screwed up so this has what it came down to. 2008 Escalade
Good morning....were you lights CONSTANTLY on...........I have an INTERMITTENT traction control light ONLY when TURNING............replaced wheel speed sensors, abs module, upper control arms (thinking the angle was causing it-leveling kit was installed).........this and the ABS PUMP are the only things left..........someone PLEASE reply with THE answer to my NIGHTMARE

Hello William, When you had issues, were both ABS and Stabilitrack lights on? At under 2MPH did ABS engage? This is my condition on a 2007 GMT-360 with 5.3l engine. I have a nice scanner and all wheel bearings are reporting correctly....but under 2MPH ABS pump engages. NOTE: I also understand the MOST common failure is front ABS sensors being "rust jacked" and fail. Replaced both bearings and signal is clear on all four corners. Any reply from ANYONE would be apprciatred. ABS module responding but only under 2MPH. Mr. P
replace your rear left and right speed sensors, cause the issue you're having could be anything, could be speed sensors, could be steering position sensor on the column, could be the clock spring, could be a handful of different sensors, I had that issue with my truck also, its like my brakes would lock up for like 4-6 secs and then it wouldn't do it again until I shut the truck off and let it cool down like over night, and then it would do it again, very odd, but I changed my clock spring, rear sensors, and it went away, I'm about to do the steering sensor because none of my shit will go off, the stability track, traction control, service brakes soon, all those lights and messages are on and its by far annoying as fuck, lol
@@Tyler_Bass850 Hello Tyler, Certainly appreciate your response and YES I am aggravated with the dash MIL's and readings across the info area. I watched some other videos and now will check ALL fuses. One video referenced a trailer related issue that caused a blown fuse to ABS. On my vehicle it is consistent and repeatable from low speed stops (ABS engages as if I'm on ice) Normally just a front wheel bearing sensor (have done many times), but I am getting good readings through my service tool. GRRR and thank you again for the input! Mr. P
How do you go about plugging it in tho?. If it's an 8 pin and the connector is 6 pin. I haven't taken it apart since I don't have the part yet cause of this.
you remove the steering intermediate shaft and unbolt the steering column slightly from its mounting position so you can slide the column forward to be able to pop the old off. it doesn't just slide off, it is designed to only slide easily one direction.
Man im having same issue..i think they changed the part number again..i think its 1915008..by the way you looked up Aaron hines guy video to help you replace the part ?

I bought the gm part and installed it didn't work even tried to have it centered but that didn't work ended up getting one from a junkyard installed it 4 months ago and no more problems
Why would this have to do with traction control? I have the service traction/stabilitrak light on the dash. Wasn’t sure if someone can explain what the wheel position sensor does in comparison to the traction control
It’s away to get people to bring there vehicles to the dealership is my guess, many sensors or parts going bad can cause the trac stab cont and abs lights to come on.
