The hand ascender can count as a point if you connect to either hole but only if it can't be shock loaded. If you jump the Croll over the knot when there's slack in the cow's tail on the hand ascender it's possible to shock load it and damage the rope.

I thought the hand jammer counts as a point if contact if its clipped through the top hole? Then just step up and clip the croll in passed the knot?

you should close the handle when you let go a rope by your right hand - that what our instructors were shouting :P
