You make an interesting point here. Of course, nobody is condoning the murder of the doctor at all. Unfortunately he invited an unsavory character into his home for sex and other acts. The public might be disgusted by the details surrounding the case once the trial starts and the full story comes out. The doctor might have engaged in reprehensible behaviors that would make our stomachs curdle if revealed.

She’s talking about she “ knows what Dev does.” So of course she knows what Hoover did. I’m not saying that he deserved to be murdered. If this were a heterosexual situation, they would have some sympathy for the prostitute because we know that most people selling themselves are more than likely a victim themselves. He was a doctor, why not have a regular relationship. What was so appealing about a downtrodden man willing to sell himself. This Doctor's deviate behavior led to this situation. It's no different than a guy picking up a female prostitute that eventually kills him.
That black man chose that life. It is 2024, he had the opportunity to make better decisions for himself. That excuse you give of being a low income black male prostitute does not excuse murder.
I don't approve of selling or buying sex, but it is how some people choose to earn a living. If someone thinks it's more lucrative than mowing lawns, flipping burgers, or whatever, that's their business. It doesn't necessarily follow that it's unsavory, just because it's unsavory to you or me.
