But on this special review, I was expecting to get cabin fever from this, but it turns out that Diary of a Wimpy Kid got a Christmas miracle and might’ve made a…good movie?

I’m glad to hear that this recent animated diary of a wimpy kid film is improving a little from the previous. As a fan of the books and the live action films, I’m glad they picked up the elements from the original cabin fever and make it more emotional on the spirit of christmas

I think what really helps this movie succeed better than the first two did is that it's the first new DOAWK movie not to be a remake of an already existing live action movie adaptation of the books, now it has nothing to compare itself to!

I hated how much this differed from the book since Cabin Fever is my favourite DOAWK book!
I bet that this movie is slightly better than the previous two.
I like them all and I look forward to the rest and hope they make all if not most of the books.

Yeah I remember seeing this, all I can say... Well it's better.
Of course as someone who seen the first original movies and read at least four or five novels, this was expected to be mediocre as the other movies.
Definitely not the best production from Disney+ in fact I think there are other novels that could have been a better franchise but hey if that's what they've want.
I wonder if there will be anymore Seals of Garbage the rest of the year or if the Trolls sequel will be the only one of the year

The Changes from page to screen are there! Maybe Disney took a lot of liberties from the 6th Wimpy Kid Book!
I Read Wimpy Kid Cabin Fever, and it was a classic book, but by god the film took so many liberties, literally Disney deviated from the source material but retained some things in the book (which there are redeeming qualities, like Santa’s Scout doll, and some others) but what I don’t like about this movie is that there is no flash back of Greg having a baby alfrendo doll that’s a missed opportunity, (which honestly, scratch that, I took it back, because if Disney retained that idea of young Greg having a realistic robotic baby doll, then it would have been woke if Greg had an uncanny valley Alfrendo baby doll) and the cupcake club when Greg was little, and the Pac-Man Cardboard Box Fiasco, and honestly, it’s the Fox’s Percy Jackson movies all over again (you know where 20th Century Fox at the time Took So Much Liberties on the Percy Jackson Book Series and just butchered a great series into horrendous movies instead)!!!
I only watched the first live action movie because Chloe Grace Moretz (The voice of Nimona) was in it.

It’s a mood for everyone during the holiday season to be honest.
I thought his face was getting red when I first saw this review on Patreon, but rewatching part of it later, I was seeing things. I still hope he got some tea later.
I thought this was the best of the three. It's not a high bar to clear, but there were moments I liked in this one. Especially seeing Greg (whose a jerk character in the books) have a heart by the end of this movie.
Yeah. Plus it was the first movie adaption of the book and it took some liberties to make it different from the book. I.e Frank is home when in the book he was at work and couldn't get home, and the fact they didn't give Manny a reason as to why he turned the power off, which I really liked cause that just proved to me he's actually a menace to society.
@@simoneperkins4419Yeah. lol. I just love how this film basically indulges in Manny’s psychopathic behavior; almost as if Jeff Kinney is self aware of how fans have theorized Manny to inhibit signs of being a psychopath and decided to incorporate some elements into Manny’s behavior in this one.
I think that part of the reason that this film turned out so much better than the previous two movies, is because of the fact that they were making movies that already had live action counterparts (which they basically missed the point of). While Cabin Fever, never had an adaptation. So this is the first time where we're seeing them go a different direction than the live action films
Now that they've done an animated version of "Cabin Fever", They'll probably do an animated version of "Dog Days" next at least I wouldn't be surprised if they did.
I think there's already a live action version of it though I would like if they did do one.

I liked this movie overall but wasn’t a huge fan of the ending. SPOILERS BELOW:
Greg gives away the video game console he got for Christmas, which felt very out of character even for this iteration of him that’s somewhat nicer than his book counterpart.
Honestly, I don’t mind Greg giving away his video console. It’s nice to see a version of Greg that’s a little less selfish and thinking of others. It’s also fitting to the book the film is adapting since in that book, Greg was actually a little less-sociopathic.
Hmph, looks like Christmas Cabin Fever didn’t get the AniMat Seal of Garbage this time.
Trolls 3 is only one got garbage and I enjoy it

Even though I enjoyed Migration I have a feeling it will get the seal of garbage because it doesn’t seem like a movie AniMat will be fond of.
they end up skipped books 3, 4 & 5 as it seems like they might just adapt every single book by book
probably cause they don’t want to end up like the live action that was cancelled due to actors getting too old for their roles to skip a few books
I really don't understand why this book series is so popular. The titular character is an unlikable prick. Same goes for Bloo from Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends.

Well, it may be better than the other two... but I can't honestly say it is great. It may be because I never was a fan of the franchise, (I'm more of a fantasy and horror fan) but even the best of these feels mid to me. Honestly, I think they worked better in live action because there's really not much reason for it to be animated. As for you, I'm honestly impressed that even with all that burnout and illness, you still gave your raw thoughts on all these... frickin movies man. Even for the mid ones, you kept your composure for the most part, aside from that cathartic rant at the beginning. Gotta say though, this Cloudy 2 style in person review was a nice treat. You don't have to do these extensive IRL reviews all the time, but special events like this are where it is probably for the best to do such rants.
Eh, this movie was alright
The book was better.
I feel like the DWK animated movies are following the same pattern as the live action ones, where they get better as they go on.
The only difference is that the animated movies aren't that great. The first one was...kinda bad. The second was eh. The third was...pretty decent.
It was surprisingly not that bad. 7/10 for me.

I don't remember the Live Action adaptations being very good either, but that was the way to go with this series. Sounds a bit harsh, but animating the characters as they appear in the books is just ugly.
Please review chicken run dawn of the nugget and cat's don't dance and the bad guys a very bad holiday.
As someone who considers myself a hater of these Diary of a Wimpy Kid movies it was still the best one by virtue of feeling something at all which is more than i could say about the others. But still doesn't do it favors that I spent most of the movie in pure dread because at the end of the day... Still is an animated Diary of a Wimpy Kid movie

I think Nimona and Spider Verse will be tied for #1 for having similar scores.
