This was a good summary of a well done movie that was hard to watch. Gertie should not have been killed. Liam Neeson's movies are almost always sad. I like him, but I hate that about his movies.
Ever feel like liam neeson can make any type of job into an action pack movie. Liam Neeson in the movie, the Tax Accountant, Liam Neeson in the movie, Parking station attendant Liam Neeson in the Doorman
1:16 It may not be important information, but the doctor was played by Al Corley, a singer from the 80s with his hit Square Rooms. Personally I like that song.
Just watched the full movie. 🤮. Using a pipe in ice as an anchor, really ?, then tying the retrieval strap up high instead of down low for stability, really ?. The bridge collapsing after the truck has crossed, really ?. The truck has only one axle slipping, why not lock the diferential for more traction ? A flimsy mesh fence is enough to stop the trucks slipping, really ?. I know it's a movie, but some things are beyond ridiculous.
I'm too lazy to watch the video back, but I believe the two douchebags directly managing the mine cut corners to make more $$$ thinking that it was harmless. Then when an accident occurred because of this, they panicked, and attempted to sabotage rescue efforts so that the safety inspector/bribed miners couldn't be rescued, and then expose their crimes. The CEO dude wasn't in on any of this, which is why he exposes them after the safety inspector tells him what they did. Hope that helps.
@@colejack4401 Which doesn't make much of any sense, the liability and death claims payments alone would far outstretch any fines for improper safety regulations, not to mention the downtime on the mines which would be tens of billions more, and an investigation would almost certainly uncover laxed safety requirements which would now involve murder charges.
I watched this and it was kind of a grade C movie. General Manager Sickle actor was an episode of Star Trek The Next Generation but man, he has aged poorly.
Question for americans, how can you watch a movie about an american portrayed by Liam Neeson when he's got such a thick accent? I'm a french Canadian and if a Quebecois character in a movie had say, an african french accent or a european one, that would totally break my immersion.
@@royalgilpin4922 1rst I'm not french, I'm Quebecois so I can't speak for other cultures. But I don't see the relevance between us having accents when we speak english, I was talking about native accents. But I'm not saying I have a problem with it btw, it's just that in french movies, if the character was described as someone being from Quebec/France and had a clear accent from another french place, there would have to be an explanation given because that's just wouldn't reflect reality. (Because no, French countries don't really have interchangeable cultures). Not saying that there couldn't be a movie about a Quebecois in France, of course there could and there is, but it would/is still an aspect that would have to be taken into account in the identity of the character. (He could not, for exemple, reminisce about how he grew up in the south of France, because then it would make no sense for him to have an accent from Canada) So when I see people like Arnold making movies as a born and bred American, I'm just like... huh! And actually, I'm pretty sure British movies would do the same for a character with an american/south african/australian accent, so it must really be an American thing. Dunno if I'm making sense to you? Kinda hard to explain without this comment being wayyy to long.
@@royalgilpin4922 well, Quebec has obviously alot of french culture to it, it's our roots after all. But it's been so long that we've been separated that it still became a totally distinct identity. More like a distant cousin if I may say so. I actually spent quite a lot of time in France and although I loved it, I never felt like I blended like say, a Canadian would in the US for example. One thing I can tell you is Quebecois are much closer and more open to english and hence have a way better accent, and are absolutely okay with others having one in either french or english. In other words, we're not like the French, who fucking suck at any other language than their own and get mad if you speak with the slightest deviance from standard Parisian. I'm not exaggerating, and I should know, they are insufferable and always pretend to not understand the Quebecois accent.
"You offended my brother. Prepare to get punched."
Liam Neeson rocks.
Mad Max on Ice.
I'm not the only one crying at 'Trk Trk Trk'
Trk trk trk almost made me cry
They didn’t have to kill Gertie like that 😭

Liam Neeson in the movie, Parking station attendant
Liam Neeson in the Doorman
To be honest. I would watch it XD
lol
Your comment made me laugh so hard! Even so, yup, I'd probably still watch them!
Liam Neeson: the theater attendant.

ah yes the ficticious "evil mining company"
funny how everyone magically has pistols in canada.
unfortunately these stereotypes exist for a reason - when youre making millions or billions - morality tends to leave the equation.
I’m think it might be because People will try to stop semi trucks and then rob them.
Benjamin Walker ❤❤❤
I wonder how Skeeder survived after all that crashing and smashing.
Magic rat
The title shall be: Mad Max Icy Road
damn this is like the first movie ever filmed in my province (manitoba, canada)
"Nobody" is another good one filmed in Winnipeg
@Taylor Peay this movie is awful 😂

FYI - Liam Neeson was a school teacher before acting.
So was Hugh Jackman.
Yohansen got what he deserved a better yet he and those other A holes who were taunting Gurty they should’ve been fired instead
Happy New Year 2022. Please do movie the Lost Strait. It's an Iran Iraq war Movie. plz.
Hey. Happy New Year! We will check that movie out and might make a video on it. Thank you for the recommendation!
@@FilmsRecapped it's on youtube.

I guess I missed this part, but could someone please tell me why the mining company was trying to thwart the rescue efforts?

@@bobsmith-ph6gu true maybe the two guys are just plain psychopath.. who want to see grieving loveones
I'm gonna watch this, seems intense and interesting
Pretty nice weather & why they don't fly the supplies in?
It was too heavy for the air force to fly it and they said there was now where to land a c130
It's WAY cheaper to use trucks.
Plus, a Chinook or 2 could have air lifted the parts in.
Plz Do A Movie Review on The Lost Strait
This saved me from watching this movie.
I get annoyed when CGI looks fake.
Jurrasic Park (first one)
Lord of the rings trilogy
Happened because the guy told the team that if someone dies the money gets split between the survivors
I didn't know Ice Road Truckers get paid that much to draw materials on ice damn
0:58 LMAO
It was... ok
One of the worst movies Liam was part of.
It is really bad, almost laughable so stupid.
Car going 60mph? Too simple we gotta do this
How did Mike get across the gorge if the bridge is out?
Don't ruin it at least he didn't let them get abducted
This movie seems ridiculous
A little bit.
best part was trk trk trk
So much tragedy and deaths, it's unwatchable. Who wrote the script?
Lam Nissan: “I’m a trucker but I am also tuff”
Also Limp NASA: “I am a truck as well”
Shit never heard of this good movie
