Why the "?" Though
I actually recognized Fuecoco's design when the trailer came out. Back in old concept art for the Johto starter trio, it was one of the sketches for early Cyndaquil, but dropped presumably because a lizard-ish fire starter was too closely retreading Charmander's design. It makes me wonder if Scarlet/Violet will have any other old designs from the other generations.
I hope so. It would be fun. Or they might leave it for an another game.
Hope they bring back all the cut Pokémon into the game at some point and concept design for the ones we've have as regional forms and such

funny thing about the all fours thing, if Sprigatito does go biped it will be the first grass starter to go from quadruped to biped, all other final evolutions for grass starters that were bipeds were bipeds through the whole line *with one going limbless in its final form that started biped* all the quadruped grass starters stayed quadruped, unlike fire starters which so far have ALL become bipeds by their final evolution and most of the water starters did as well...with one going from biped to quadruped and another being a seal-mermaid instead. But yeah the majority of starter pokemon go biped.
Serperior does have arms but they’re so small and skinny they look like decorative leaves
I mean, almost all water starters started off as bipedal. Mudkip and Poppolino are the only waters who weren't bipedal.

Actually, Quilava and Typhlosion are quadrupeds. In order to consider them bipedal, you have to consider Pikachu bipedal, and I'm fairly certain you don't do that.

The funniest thing about Incineroar is that in the Alola games, or at least USUM, it's possible to level up during the intro and have evolved starters in cutscenes. It's hilarious introducing your brand new half naked cat man to your mom
Or randomize the games then (by some fluke of a chance) show your mom Necrozma at the start of the game that would be rather interesting to see.
@@alexkemplen772 when I played around with it, it only worked with the starters. If you swapped yours out, the scene defaulted to whichever you picked even if you didn't have it anymore
@@M_Alexander No, what I'm saying is have the Starters randomized even while Selecting the Pokémon then, if Necrozma (as example) is one of them then the cut scene _should_ play out with you bringing in Necrozma.
@@alexkemplen772 I'm not sure it would work so well. One thing I noticed is that the camera angles are set differently depending on the starter and its stage. If it's preset then it might break with something else put in

In all honesty I don't care how the starters evolutions look, I just like to see new Pokémon in general and Ken Sugimori is a great artist.

Regarding Eveelution: We are actually missing a dragon Eveelution. All forms so far are types that were "special" before the physical/special split in later generations.
AND DRAGON WAS CONSIDERED SPECIAL AS WELL
Technically, there were no dragon type moves that dealt damage in a traditional way. Only Dragon Rage could deal damage of all dragon moves which always does 40 damage. In essence, it was not a offensive type in any meaningful way.
@@Birdthefeatheredone Gen 2 and 3 were both before the split and they had moves like Dragonbreath and Dragon Claw.
@Frosty Bur One answer I found was because in Gen 1 the only Ghost moves where Lick and Nightshade. Licking makes physical contact and Nightshade did damage based off level.

For ghost that move was lick so it was physical
@@Birdthefeatheredone The split was in gen 4. So even in gen 3, dragon was special. Regarding dragon rage, the animation looks like spitting fire, so i guess they went with: spitting fire = special.

@@jason4443 The eagle was on a previous national flag and the Dragon is mostly used in the flags from Barcelona. Most use Saint George's Cross, and Saint George was said to have fought a serpentine dragon.

You wanted it to change stance at the last point physically possible, in such a manner that it's to the active detriment of the evolutionary family? Because being a figuratively last-minute change is the _real_ problem with Incineroar, and it's not even a uniquely Incineroar problem either, nor is it the worst case of it. That would go to the Samurotts because going to quadruped actively hinders them.

If they didn't give us the Dragon Eevee in Gen 8 they're done until they make a new type
All the Eevelutions are based on the "special" types, not physical and they've always been added in even numbered generations
Unless they make it a regional varient of Eevee or something but considering it's been elevated to mascot and we didn't get Alolan Pikachu I doubt they'd do that
Grass starters are consistently the most often least humanoid, unlike with Litten where *every single* Fire starter final evo is bipedal, we at least have Venasaur, Meganium, and Torterra as a precsident for quadraped grass starter final evolutions
Is Pikachu a biped to you? If not, Typhlosion isn't, either.

I have to confess: I want Fuecoco to have a luscious head of hair. It's got that golden ahoge as stage 1, I want his evolution to have progressively more hair. Like stage 2 has a hairstyle like Alolan Dugtrio, and then its final form has got a golden curtain of the stuff.

What annoys me more than Litten's final evolution being Incineroar is that they decided to say "We have too many Fire/Fighting types, lets make him a Fire/Dark type but make him look like a wrestler with a Z-move based around wrestling."
he's based on heel wrestling, and specifically tigermask from japanese wrestling, so he's the villain of the story of wrestling.

You can always tell how popular a Pokémon is by how much offbrand there is of it, and it's pretty safe to say that Sprigatito is the most popular of the 3.
By far. I'm choosing it cuz it looks cute and I adore cats, but just mere minutes after getting wind of the Names I immediately went to R34 to find it and boy did I find some stuff. Especially now since it has 300-400+ entries there it's by far the most popular in that regard.

yeah, legends seems like the framework plus there isn't much in that game. It's just mainly catching pokemon in the game is fun, which is why people are still playing it.

I'm predicting an Iberian Lynx look for part of Sprigatito's evolution line. The ears and beardy part of the face look like they could be depicted as petals, leaves, and twigs. That and/or a jaguar.
For Fuecoco, I can see a chili-pepper-meets-gharial thing happening with its evolution. Basically, it gets a thinner, longer, and spicier mouth so it can grab prey without moving its body much.
I can see Quaxly getting more of a Spring cleaning albatross look where it towels across the floor with its giant wings like it's doing the Japanese zokin dash.
My only problem with Fuecoco is because I am old and it reminds me of many generic dinosaurs on the NES, like Bubble Bauble or the dinosaur things in Dig Dug.

the eeveelutions are mostly based around elements. fairy can be seen as light, and psychic as something neutral, similar to DnD's force damage.
imo it would be weird to have a cute furry mammal suddenly evolve into a lizard (dragon), suddenly become an insect (bug), or for it to grow wings (flying).
what i would love to see is a straight up normal type evolution for it
Normal evolution would be sick.
On method to determine if the cat you want is chill is to pick it up and hold it belly up. Normal cats will immediately flip out, chill ones will start wiggling but non-aggressively try to get out.

Eevelutions are known to be only from the pre-Gen 4 special types. Unless we get a new special type there won't be any more.

Does anyone else find it weird how quickly they they announced the next pokemon game right after pokemon legends?
It doesn't take much looking to realize Legends is an extremely blatant tech demo disguised as a game, and now that Gen 9 is looking as good as it does it's even more obvious. PLA probably doesn't matter at all to Game Freak in the long run.
it just proves that arceus is just an spinoff they didn't cared that much and thought the open world catching stuff was just a one-time gimmick. I honestly think Gen 9's gameplay will be like sword/shield

I think it was because it was looking to be another Fire/Fighting type and people were sick and tired of them, and it was a bait and switch with a Fighting type astheic while being a Dark type.

Interesting part is someone brought up that the duck might be referencing don Quixote.
If Sprigatito doesn't evolve into a fan dancer, or there is no new fan dancer inspired pokemon *likely a grass or flying type* then this would be an opportunity with the Spain and Portugal inspired region to have a regional Gardevoir based on this theme..
