My guide called me before my config locked. He had to change interior to black to bump up delivery. Obviously I had no problem switching to black interior on white truck. Truck is so far perfect…. 8 steps were fairly easy. Had to go to dmv to get a title for trade in, that was hardest part. Also taking picture of drivers license as it has to be perfect or it will get rejected. They drove to me at my office in Orlando. Service center is very close by.

If you don't mind, would you be able to shed any light on the following: * Did Rivian delivery your R1 within the delivery window they gave you? And when did your guide call you with respect to your delivery window? Within it or before? If before, how much before? * Is there a difference in the "delivery fee" on whether you take delivery at a Rivian service center or at home (or any other non-Rivian location you select such as at work, etc)? Sure would be nice to eliminate that >$1k delivery fee with a factory pickup or perhaps reduce it with a pickup at a Rivian service center. * Can one choose which Rivian service center to take delivery? * If one is doing a trade-in, wouldn't Rivian always flatbed your R1 to you regardless of the distance? I can't imagine Rivian would expect/want the field specialist / delivery person to drive a virtually unknown vehicle back to wherever they take it, minimally for safety reasons. * BTW, I know this is influenced on one's credit rating (among other things) but what kind of financing interest rates / terms is Rivian offering? I found the one thing with the 8 steps is just signing your name. Took 1/2 hour practicing writing my name with my finger on a mouse pad🥵to get it to look like my signature. Now I've signed my name for UPS deliveries before but didn't mind what it looked like but these were official documents and I did want the signature to look close to my hand writing.

Lol, I was literally watching this video when I got the “Your Rivian is Ready for Delivery” email a few minutes ago. Got all excited until the Step 8 said: “Next available appointment: none currently available” 🤬
Would be nice if Rivian Website would detail the 8 steps you need to complete so we could prepare everything in advance and not be such a rush to get done and the stress level not so high due to the familiarity of going through hypothetical runs. Being it the actual sale process of the vehicle you would think that would be A#1 priority on the website.
I just signed my preliminary documents, how long after you signed them did they send you your 8 steps ? & after the 8 steps were finished was the delivery?

The delivery fee is a flat fee payable by all, no exceptions. So you will pay it regardless of where you pick up.

That varies widely. Some have been minutes, while others have been weeks.
