U47 microphone?, they are still making this, and to the original specifications too. I'm surprised that recording studios wish to still use such a cheap microphone. At around £10,000 then surely there are a lot better ones to buy (cough)!!. Go on, Harvey, treat yourself to one, just how will Elvis sound when pumped through one ?? Great recording of Joe, Harvey, perhaps there are better copies to be had somewhere,
I wish I could afford one Theo. I had a chance about six years ago to buy a pair of Tannoy Monitor Golds 12 inch speakers in cabinets for £500, like an idiot I turned them down.
