Thanks. I have a Dodge Charger with the same engine and this helped me a lot. It’s a pain in the ass to remove it but the suffering beats the $900 quote from the dealership by miles.
Very helpful! I have a jeep with the same 3.6 but jeep videos never show this side being removed so I searched for other vehicles with same engine. You guys are great! Thank you!
Love your videos guys! I have a dodge journey and you have already helped me so much! Next I will be doing the rockers arms and lifters. Any chance you could do that asap, or help me out? I got a few questions and would greatly benefit from your help! Thanks again guys!
That was insane!! ...doable but insane, so much to remove.....thinking about pricing the job around and weight my options. Thanks for the video though.
Great video I’ve learned a lot from you guys i have a problem with my windows not working can you made a video how to fix this I try with switch and still not working help please
When I changed my back spark plugs I think I got the ignition coils confused. I mixed 3 and 5. Will that make my system throw errors? I put 5 in the middle and 3 on the right. The 1rst one is correct
Good job but instead of disconnecting the coolant hoses, just remove the plastic by windshield and remove the support bar. Opened up a lot more room on top to work.
Why on my dodge journey 2012 keeps overheating and I change the radiator the temperature sensor and the antifreeze keeps going to the reserve and it fills up.
The reason they don't show the back on the Chrysler 200 3.6 is because you wouldn't buy parts. It's an absolute mfer. The phaser actuator on the back cover are up against the ac line, power steering line, and coolant tank line with almost zero room to for bolt movement. Yes you have to take the pcv valve out but that's not all you have to get the left side up and create clearance for the shaft the pcv valve sits on because it hangs over the valve cover about an 1/8 of an inch and is a total btch. I did the entire job in 8'hours and have one phaser actuator to put in and one bolt on the other to get tight plus the upper intake to put back on. You do not have to remove the throttle body. Never buying a front wheel drive car again 😅
Who would've thought that this video would come in handy in 2022.... On a dodge avenger V6 engine.......I believe he said the torque is about 7 to 9 pounds..... It's an aluminium head so don't torque too much.
@@gavinjones9007 on the back valve on the back corner on the driver’s side, you gotta take the pcv valve off. Sorry about that, I barely got this notification, hopefully you figured it out before then.
If you have the time, and RUclips if needed, it’s all DYI 😬. Dealers charge a lot and some can’t afford it. Besides it only gets easier and faster the more you do it!

Shouldn’t be an issue

My friend, what are the torque values for reinstalling the valve covers?
You ever figure this out?
@@TheRoadLessChosen give me your email and I can send pics of the torque specs to you
Can you do a video adjusting valve lifters?
Hi is there a hose that connects to the valve cover?
Hi, I am not seeing the video showing the valve cover torque specs can you please post the link to video.
Do you have a video on head gaskets for the journey? I'm not seeing it if you do.
Good video, but take off the bling when you're working under the hood lol.

Good job
Keep it up man

How much does this repair usually cost?
More than what the car is worth
Pcv valve 2009 dodge journey rt location
Chrysler 200 has plenty of room to get the backside out and air ducts
Also just disconnect the throttle body and bring it out with the intake.
No body want film the back valve cover lol
😂😂😂😂😂 this is hilarious. I was actually co soldering doing a reverse video putting it back together. You can’t find reverse jobs anyway.
My back valve cover seems to be stuck on one corners and all screws are loose.
@@janhaley4082 same! Please tell me how you got it off lol my back right corner is stuck. This is such a pita

This is a dealer job, not for the diy'er.
If you have the time, and RUclips if needed, it’s all DYI 😬. Dealers charge a lot and some can’t afford it. Besides it only gets easier and faster the more you do it!
Dealer will probably charge $1,000 in labor for that job.
Stop limiting yourself. If someone else can do it, why can't you? We have the tutorial right in front of us. What's stopping us?
@@frazercollins9559 I just saw one where a youtuber, great mechanic btw, but their shop charges 3500. 😂😂😂
😂😂 definitely for the DIY guy. I’ll just leave it at that.
