Samuel L. Jackson is the natural scene-stealer in Pulp Fiction, but John Travolta's performance is so understated and nuanced, it is by far the most impressive acting in the movie for me. Next time you put it on, watch for the slight changes in facial expressions and body language he uses to show Vincent's changes of mood: how chill he is with Jules, how agitated he is meeting Butch, and how stunned he is meeting him the second time, how timid he is at certain points when he's with Mia and how he goes from badass to scolded child when he's with Winston. Travolta at his peak here.

The scene at Mia's house, when John is shuffling around the living room, trying to figure out what the hell he's doing, is really one of the peak scenes in that movie. John did an absolutely astounding job with Vincent in Pulp Fiction. Just a pretty average goon in LA, yet very intricate and nuanced. Listening to him talk about it with this level of depth is curious. Also kudos for embracing his current look. It really fits him.

@@kayaman4487 You're either 15 years old or trolling... There's no way you're that daft as a legitimate adult or person worthy of participating in such conversations in the first place if you're this far behind. Whether it's even true or not, this amazingly erroneous/stupid premise that you allegedly can't be a great director or screenwriter just because you're using what is merely a morphine-derived opioid is a little over the top even for the internet bro. I think you need to take a trip to the library and/or accumulate some more life experience because that's a little too much ignorance in terms of what I'm willing to even engage with. Not everyone is in the loop but at the same time, there's a limit dude. Ignorance is one thing but antagonizing logic and reason to such a degree is not gonna fly. Not in my discussions.
I thought you would actually have a relatively substantive response to counter what I said but you just come at me with lazy late-20th century pseudo-stereotypes ? I don't deal with people that low on the totem pole sorry. Even for the old-timey propagandists that's not a real stereotype kid. If you gonna talk about drugs at least know the basics. It's a freakin morphine derivative, not datura genius. The fuck lol
At this point I just want to know your age group/generation so that I can take it into context and maybe have some hope that the coming of age individuals these days haven't stooped this low. Also for the record, I never stated that he claimed publicly to have done heroin. That was at least part of the point of my comment.
