This video was sooooo long. 😅 But so worth the watch. What an amazing kit and you did a stellar job with it. The end results were so satisfying to see and what an accomplishment. Fully worth the time watched. Thanks.
This is an excellent reference video for anyone building this kit. Although it is made to look so easy in the video, the kit requires a lot of skill, as I am finding out. Notwithstanding its size, this is a fiddly kit to put together and lots of small details need attention. Alas, my skills are not equal to the author of this video, but I know when I have finished the kit, it will look a more authentic replica of Ken Miles' car than if I did not have this video to guide me.
Absolutely awesome model kit build of an awesome car Music in the video was extremely annoying Could have been done without the use of the Music but otherwise an awesome build up of an absolutely amazing model kit
Such a great kit. I hope to be able to build it in the future. Great tips, references and added detail added as you built it as well! Thanks for posting it all!! fyi: That model kit is 1/12...NOT 1/24 (from your title description).
Incredible work on a beautiful model!!!...I can't believe it only took you hour and half to complete, Ha Ha 🤣😁 thanks for putting in the time to make this epic build video, I have learned so much...looks like I need to watch your Video's on the 1/12 Tamiya Porsche 934 build, I have that model and I've been way to intimidated to start it. BTW: the way you duplicated the time they had to take a hammer to the door to get it to shut....Priceless!
Congratulations, fantastic video. I just received the kit and I'm ready to get started. One question: what clear coat did you use? Thanks a lot for the answer. BRAVO!!!
First paint it with surface prep then paint it with undercoat then paint it with the colour it originally was then paint it with highlights then paint it with clear-coat then paint it with wash ARE YOU SEEING THE TREND HERE ?
David R Lentz, Columbus, Ohio, USA (Saturday, 21 September, 2024) Dauntingly intimidating, except for the precision of fit apparent at your every step! Thank you both for your video and your periodic call-outs of key points. At round 42:36 in your video, you show a package of “braided hose”. What would this be on the actual car engine, please? Do you know what this material is, again on a real engine?
Az egyszerűbb munkákhoz például alapozáshoz kisebb alkatrészek szórásához Alder AD-370 már 3 éve használom semmi gondom nem volt vele. A fényezéshez, lakkozáshoz Harder & Steenbeck Evolution-t használom. Ez ugyan drágább kategória, de megéri megvenni.
@@grandmakettauto8009 Köszönöm a választ. Igazából az első makettet csinálom,de airbrush-t akarok vásárolni,de elvesztem a kínálatban. Kezdésnek az Alder- el (0.3) megoldható lenne minden ?
Persze! Tökéletes kezdésnek! Én is ezzel kezdtem, csak később vettem komolyabbat. Ha lenne több kérdésed, írj nyugodtan privátban, szívesen válaszolok amire tudok. grandmakettauto@gmail.com
I have this same kit, but want to do it in the blue orange gulf color scheme. Can’t find anyone producing those decals for 1/12 GT40…Happen to know anyone?
Hello! yes, the commonly used plastic adhesives dissolve plastic and paint. The Bsi glue used in many places in the video is non-solvent, so it does not leave a mark. Please write exactly (minutes, seconds) in which part of the video you mean the glue used.
@@grandmakettauto8009 From 36:35, at first kamiya thin is used, but what for the other parts? I find the Tamiya thin messes the paint for me , Thanks :)
Hello! That's what this hobby is all about! I don't buy it ready-made, I put it together myself. If you build a house yourself, you appreciate and enjoy it much more than if you bought it ready ;)

so you're making Ken Miles car? A legendary driver we lost all too early
Yes! Based on the movie Ford v Ferrari.

Looks great. Really nice work on the decals around the panel seams…learned some tricks in this video for sure.

Do you know how that famous dent occurred? The door never closed properly at the first lap at Le Mans'66 and it was forced to close in the pit.
Ken would be proud!
Thank you very much!
Looks fantastic did you have a build issues? I have built meng’s mp4 1/12 and it was a great kit
Thanks! Accurate, easy-to-build kit with minimal errors: hole size, windshield curve.
I also plan to build Mp4!
Ballsy move to try the helmet damage on a $300 model! Kudos!! Awesome work!
Thanks!

Hi everyone, how is the glue there not destroying the paint? like when he makes the engine. If I use Tamiya glue it melts the paint away 😢

Hi! Where the glue point is not visible, I used Tamiya glue in the same way. If I have to glue at a critical point, I use Bsi Super Gold+ glue.
