Unicorn Overlord is easily my favorite!
Hundred Heroes is really great. Like I think it's very flawed but there's also something I genuinely love about it. I think it's the world and characters and messing around in the combat with all the different characters. Easily second best rn.
Unfortunately I did not like FF7 Rebirth at all :/ The FF7 remake games have just not been fun to play at all for me to this point, and Rebirth was even worse than Remake because expanding it so much just led to a lot of busywork and minigame shit that largely did not work. Like I'm not gonna lie, I don't understand why people shit on Ubisoft for games like this but seemed to loooove Rebirth. Ubisoft's worlds actually seem *more* interactive and much easier to get around to me, too... well, at least the characters in this game rule
Making different teams to test out combos and strategies is 1 of the best things about the suikoden franchise and this game does not disappoint. Also I had so much fun yesterday playing around with the theatre, trying out multiple combinations on the stage and I still only have 2 scripts.
Yep, same. Unicorn Overlord is easily my goty and I highly doubt that will change.
I also agree on ff7r. It was a big miss for me, and it's basically just cuz of the combat. I really wanted to like it, but tbh I thought overall SO2r was the much better game. Something about its action combat just blew ff7r's out of the water for me.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink - I love the game so far take second tier
Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth - Haven't played, but loved the Remake, I am gonna wait for the PC version since all my stuff is there

For me its Unicorn Overlord and it's not even close. Eiyuden Chronicle *has* been fun too, but UO is top 5 in my all-time list, and Eiyuden...is not lol.
Can't really include my #2 game, cuz it's a live service game. Its content that came out this year has been AMAZING though. So shout-out to Octopath CotC for finishing one of the best story arcs I've ever seen in a jrpg. And for having THE most epic final boss fight I've ever done, not to mention that the fight was harder than both versions of Galdera.
Unicorn overlord is pretty good, wasn't for me, but I admit it's quality!!
Eiyuuden is great, can't for the DLC to be released. I am now 85 ish percent done with the game and it's awesome. Lots of stuff to do outside of the main quest, feels so perfectly Suikoden.
hundred heroes is a good game
Definitely rebirth and persona 3 so far for me this year. I have high hopes for the Elden ring DLC coming soon too.
Eiyuden Chronicle Hundred Heroes is also my favorite. That game has great world building. You´re going on a epic journey to form a resistance after your country has been invaded. It got all kind of twist and turns of the origin of that evil further on in the game. Nice side quests and mini games too. The conection with Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising has been handeled good aswell. You can jump right into Hundred Heroes and still enjoy it without missing out, but if you played Rising there are moments where you go: ´´yeah, I remember that.´' The criticisms of the game are fair, though they don´t bother me that much. I grew up in the 90´s enjoying games without QOL feutures, I can do without those.
My second favorite RPG is SaGa Emerald Beyond, but I woudn´t recomand it if someone is looking for a standard RPG experience. 2024 has been rather good for RPGs thus far. Nice video!

I’m loving Star Ocean Second Story R!! Ff7 rebirth was amazing but my hardest platinum to date! Lastly , Octopath 2 was soo good!! One of my favorites

For me FF rebirth is my top JRPG. Followed by eiyuden Chronicle. Then surprisingly Like a Dragon so far but I am guessing this may change when Legend of heroes trails through daybreak comes out in a few weeks. Granblue was fun too but not in my top three.
Just finished Eiyuden. If you can reach out to Rabbit and Bear, I wish they will make a DLC for Aldric. He also has his own story and reason why he wants to get the rune lenses. He wants everyone to use it not just selected people. It will be like Suikoden 3 where in you can play Luc at the end. That' s all.
