this legendary video inspired generations of Bboys in Texas. We revamped our styles and incorporated the innovations that we saw here into our own techniques. House dancing, HipHop freestyle, and even capoeira became our language in the battles that raged in the 90s
Such good memories when I hear this. Bay area houser scene was crazy at the time. Breakers, hip-house, baggy Girbauds, hoodies, floral patterns...i miss these days dearly. It was a fun, innocent time where just wanted to dance. No booze or drugs (we were also just a bunch of teenagers at the time!).
Can't believe this only got 6k views The fusion of jazz, hip hop, break dancing, soul train dance influences, whacking, moon walking, locking, popping I can go on........

Trying to find a list of these dancers. Dude at 1:37 battled my friends and I in Metropol, Pittsburgh PA circa 1991. Pretty sure it’s the same dude in the opening dance scene of Cool As Ice movie. He served every one of us (4) single handedly .
The first time I heard this joint was on WBLK in Buffalo when R&B was actually dope, but that reaction from the girl in the silver dress to the right after the chick did the back somersault was priceless!

My uncle Brother is dancing in this video at 1:22. He was apart of the Scheme Team in LA. Also, Fatima Robinson is in this video who was also a Scheme Team member. Lastly, the group the Pharcyde is in this video too. They were dancers back in the day. West Coast hip hip/house dance legends in this video. My uncle is still gettin busy dancing.
Please i would like to get this album that this song is on, this whole album is hard to find!¡!!!!!!!!!! Nevermind just to your site and bought it!!!!!
It's essentially Hiphop, but if you want to be more specific, you'd have to find this kind of dancing usually done around this era so, the New Jack Swing Era. They are doing a variation of Happy Feet. You can look up The Legendary Soul Brothers, Elite Force or any music video from the late 80s and early 90s.
Happy 89th Birthday Herb Alpert!(Born March 31, 1935)😃🥳🎂🎉🎊🎈🎁🍾🥂👍👏🙌
Old school pop locking music hits
House dancers assembled when this song came on, I know cause I was 13 an one of them here in Southern California an he's my bday twin 💯🥳 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🥰
This was a House jam back in the day. I remember dancing to it at underground clubs. Good times!
I am actually amazed this song didn't blow up to epic proportions. All good, I like keeping it to myself. Also one of the coolest videos, period.
Yes when I first heard this song back in the 80s I thought the wave would be a fusion of jazz hip hop dance I was so excited but it did not take off
It actually did, house dancers are the ones who made him popular again when this video dropped
@@michaelwatkins816792 I think is when it came out
HERB ALPERT HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE BEST PLAYER FOR THE TRUMPET!!!!😎
