Personally, I was maining Iso before the nerfs and he was seriously broken. Even after the nerfs, all you need is to time the shield for an easy kill.
Hes more broken on console especially with the little experience people have

He was very broken before the nerf. I think people are overplaying it when they say he was as busted as pre nerf chamber of prime jett but he was definitely broken. After the patch he is still great but I wouldn't consider him broken anymore, just a good agent for duels.
@@themakerstoolbox9688I don't think he was as broken as chamber but he definitely felt worse to play against. Chamber at least had the illusion of a fair fight (not really given the insane off angles chamber can play) but if your aim was perfect you would kill chamber every time. Iso is a character where you can feel you did everything right and still lose the fight.
10:20 the iso is tryong so hard not to onetap the neon while stunned
And another thing Reynas ult was buffed like that so you don’t have to run it down but with iso you have to run it down
Iso has a low pick rate in non radiant/immortal queue... only saw him 2 times after the nerfs. I guess the reason is it's too hard to use abilities in a perfect timing so that led to a waste :(
I suffer from him almost every game in dia / asc EU. Maybe it's a region thing?
As an Iso player since he came out, I have to say a few things.. It's reallyy hardd to flank the enemies now that you actually hear the shield when you equip it. Back when you first would've need a kill and there was no sound, I used it as an element of surprise, but now... If I flank on Ascent People from Sunset will hear me..
The Buff was goatedd. I already knew how to use Iso before it, so you put up shield > get 2 kills boom > shield recaharged, yes some players may use it again cuz of long shield window. But I kept it safe as a last fail safe. Yes they could hear me equip it, but would they expect me to swing straight after?? After the nerf I use his shield as more of a ''timing'' ability, meaning, when we are about to flood the site. Orrr I just use the shield as a fake, I activate it on heaven > then i sneak in elbow, tree, short etcc. You can take this massage as ''I'm new to Iso what is a playstyle I can do?'' type thing. Or however you want. But i thought maybe should give my POV as an Iso main. Shout out to anyone still reading thiss
You should bet able to activate his ult while his shield is active that is over powered
ISO needs to be reverted back to his Pre-8.11 state. The shield, while strong, only lasts for 12 seconds and you have no chance of getting it back. There goes the entire point of your agent.
No one plays ISO for the vulnerable or the wall, they only play ISO for the shield and the ULT. This new shield forces ISO to run it down out of necessity, otherwise you lose the one good thing about his kit.
ISO is worse than before 8.11, and it feels so incredibly constricting to play as him.
Well, of course it will be constricting, it's only fair because every person on the other team is more cautious against iso than other agents.
You basically get a second chance at life (assuming your in a high elo that headshots) every round and it can be activated again if killing someone.

True, but also wrong. Iso is NOT worse than what he used to be, but he definitely encourages a playstyle than contradicts valorants principles. His utility forces him to take a fight even when the smartest decision would be to tuck or fall back and that’s the portion I have an issue with.
Characters like Iso, Reyna, and even to a degree Clove, encourage you to take unnecessary risks in order to get value out of their kit and I personally think that’s something that should be removed from the game
I read this comment, I do use all his ability if a teammate near me helps push with the wall or peek together with a vulnerable and teammate's flash. My only problem is the charge of double tap, 12 seconds sure, but making it as one only kinda awful. The pre-buff Iso is still good because 2 charge despite no signature kills reset you have a good duration of 20 seconds, I know this focuses on the double tap and I still play Iso but just using the double tap if I needed to use it, that's why his utility like wall and vulnerable are useful when they could help you push in or out on the enemy team.
bro cant get a kill in 12 seconds, just dont use the shield immediately
My usual Iso counter is to clear his shield with a shotgun and get to cover, letting my team deal with them and I could stay back and clear orbs if they were to fail. I would also buy bulldog because the burst deals with the shield and kills in the same trigger pull. But, there is always SPAM.
I just like how I can peek with an advantage that shield mostly gives me time to adjust my shots because of one bullet getting absorbed...

Been locking iso ever since the buff, if the season didn't reset i wudve ranked up to gold, now feels like smurfing in bronze (riot ranking system op)
Hey Konpeki, I was wondering if Omen or Clove would fit my aggressive Jett play style more? I’m currently looking to switch from duelist to controller.
If u play more Reyna then yoru then choose clove. Keep in mind though that omens kit is stronger.
Cloves kit is more selfish and allows you to take more fights. That doesn’t mean you can’t be aggressive with omen but you’ll definitely die more if you play both agents the same way. Omen requires more team coordination and you’ll find yourself playing in the back a lot more.. which is not bad it may just take a while to get used to
I’m just tired of feeling like my entire team has to take one specific agent more seriously than the rest
10:05 , nu-hu as a cypher main i can terll you that you will get no value out of your trips as iso will wall shield before entry making himself unspammable (but i recon the 5 chip damage of a tripwire could break his shield)

Also one thing they removed if I remember correctly, Iso ult no longer gives free double tap(without the shield) so it's either you get the dub for the shield orb or not
So you need to activate e before ult I thought u still had a shield?
Kinda weird but yeah, they used to give a free double tap but the version without his shield(pre-buff Iso ult) but during buff and the current nerf it just puts you without double tap so you have activated the double tap before ulting. Would be nice if they don't remove the free double tap.
Dude if they nerf iso again im done with valorant. Iso is already not as viable anymore so stop nerfing him

It shows in the beginning, who you have taken, just concentrate on the player model and you will see, i regularly call out to my teammates who i have taken, so maybe if its a sentinel they can rush into site.
Guys I think they mean like it showing up on the UI, not just for Iso himself
The judge example is completly wrong, you're dead even with the shield. If you look at your video example with the raze, the raze has to be silver or gold to not get the kill here. Def no realistic compared to what we experienced in ranked at a certain elo.
So I didn't main iso before the nerfs when I got iso after the nerf he is still insanely broken you just need to time your shield what I like to do is save my shield after I kill one person because they always swing after I kill a person. Hope it helps😊

Raze blastpacks are bad now so dont double jump instead use them to peek and do other things if you want movement play something like neon
As a new player he just pisses me off. Every iso I’ve ran into such a damn sweat they’ll drop 30-50 kills like holy crap dude we’re in bronze piss off. I can’t be too mad about that because If they’re that good they’re that good. It’s annoying but whatever, well played. What’s super annoying is the damn shield. I already suck at aiming now I gotta aim perfectly twice?? It’s just so frustrating. I’m just trying to learn how to counter the ability. Hate is ultimate too, using it is actually fun but going against is is definitely annoying. “Ahhh, good thing I’m safe behind this wa- ITS YOU AND ME!!!!!” Alright…. 50/50 coin flip time!! It feels like an ability you can’t counter you genuinely just have to hope for the best and that’s what’s annoying me
I’ve been playing iso since I started playing so for me it feels like he’s worse than before the buff as well as he didn’t feel that strong for me since before he was not as near as good I also feel like making it 12 seconds and no kill reset was kinda dumb cause a round can go up to 2 minutes but you have your signature for 12 seconds so it felt like the nerf was not needed to be as big
when i pick him i always get one tapped and i feel so big when i play him but im bad but when i pick phenix i get 27kils

I hope Iso is the last shield champion lmao. Having a get out of headshot free ability is really lame. Blackbeard was stupid in Siege, Iso is stupid in Valorant. Agent bans would be nice soon too.

He's a high risk, high reward agent, I don't see any reason he should be nerfed even more, the only "op" aspect of his kit it's his shield, and it's pretty easy to take it off, once it's gone he can't use it again, it's only fair, there are multiple agents with multiple dashes or the ability to revive like Phoenix or Clove and I don't see anyone trying to nerf them lol

Iso ult is the only ultimate in the game without a single prio to the agent. imho riot needs to add a "shield gain" immediately if he ults even if he used it up before ulting. you grind 7 points ult for a 50/50 chance which doesn't seem worth it at all comparing it to Phoenix or Reyna or any other duelist
Iso is just a mistake like blackbeard in rainbow they nead to rework him and get rid of the shield in a 1 shot headshot game its game breaking

@@yourbelovedautumn Not necesserily. Some guns melt through it like stinger, some are useless against it like operator. Besides, phantom players already have to 2 shot to kill from far away, if they can do that, then vandal users can too for iso shield.
Listen iso is lottery Blackbeard from r6 in sense because it medigates player from getting kills they would have had if they weren’t running iso I think they should revert iso to how he was prior to the buffs some agents shouldn’t be viable. At least this way there can only be small niche of player playing iso and he won’t be as frustrating as he is now

He has broken the game I'm at the point of going back to Apex. He needs to go back to pre buff.
Personal suggestion, remove the pill shield, while iso has his "shield" activated, he cannot be slowed or hindered. spammy guns and play styles would have little effect against this monster, because your body tags mean nothing, he still gets his perfectly lined up head tap even after you tag him
That would probably make him the worst agent to ever exist.

The problem is that they gave Iso a really strong snowball ability and then just removed the snowball requirement from it. Iso's shield was already borderline overpowered at the cost of only being usable if you could secure a kill. Now it's just free.
