If you marry Harvey, he admits that he was afraid of us when w got to town. Since then, he has on multiple occasions seen us come in half dead from combat injuries and then go back fo more, sometimes in the same game. And now he’s less afraid????
Here's a fun fact: If you name your character "Daddy", many dialogue scenes will take on a very different character.

If you get True Completion, go Joja Route, and never get married, the only person in town who likes you enough to stand on the summit with you is Morris, who isn't even interested in being your friend.

I love the pumpkin soup fact! Especially since Sebastian has a lot of unique dislikes/hates compared to the rest of the marriage candidates. He’s the only adult (along with Penny) who doesn’t like and actively hates every alcoholic beverage as a gift. I learned it the hard way by accidentally giving him the same beer he handed me on New Year’s Eve.
That really put a damper on my marriage to Sebastian…how can I love and stay married to someone who dislikes/hates my main source of income? Then again, maybe I should have taken comfort in the fact that he definitely wouldn’t be sampling/skimming any of my artisan goods 😂
I just realized why Sebastian and Penny are my favorites.
I don't enjoy drinking or being around drunk people irl, so this makes sense to now.

Fun(?) fact about Krobus: despite you never give them a mermaid pendant, after you and Krobus move together the Old Mariner on the beach will congratulate you and say the pendant was useful after all. So, the game itself considers them a spouse)

I think this goes for all the movies she dislikes, which coincidentally are the scary movies (besides mysterium its It howls in the rain)
It's possible that Leah just has an intolerance to gluten instead of having celiacs. So instead of wheat being a huge deal it would, well, be about like someone with a lactose intolerance eating dairy. Unpleasant enough to want to avoid it in most cases, but it wouldn't cause her any serious harm to deal with the discomfort and enjoy a food she really loves, as long as she doesn't do it too often.
That's me to a T! It has the potential to sometimes make me very sick, but an occasional bite of Grandma's Christmas cookies or my grandfather's freshly baked bread are so worth any pain! The more time that's passed between eating gluten the less discomfort I get, so yeah, eating a muffin maybe once a year might be tolerable for her.

Your spouse will give you wine or beer on Winter 28 to celebrate the new year that is about to start. And then the next morning will comment on the ‘fun’ you had the previous night with a blushing face.
I don't recall Penny doing that for obvious reasons. It's weird I always marry her despite always making a brewery on my farms.

I really like the merman theory, it just explains so much about his excitement with the sea.
I like to think he is human but maybe his mother or grandmother he never met was a mermaid? Maybe he knows, maybe he doesn't, but he's instinctively pulled towards the sea, solitude appreciation of natute.
I don't know why but I love the theory of Leah having celiacs- I mean it's not fun of course 😂but I think it's super duper cool when canon facts are never outright stated but woven into the dialogue/story as hints, just like with Sebastian just loving his mom's cooking

Late to this, but there's a theory that sebastian's actually allergic to eggs since he hates all eggs (except void eggs), mayonnaise, and all dishes that prominently include eggs
Despite being a Sebby stan, I never noticed that he likes pumpkin soup & you'll get this recipe from Robin! I don't think this is a coincidence because it adds more depth to the character. So interesting! 😏
Love the idea that this quaint town is taking place during/in a post Soviet russia. Really reframes your battle against Joja as a battle to still keep capitalism out of your country

Stardew definitely feels like home, and I've never been abroad - spent all my life in Russia. Perhaps it has to do with the fact that Russia is primarily collectivist in nature, unlike the majority of Western countries, who are predominantly individualist. This means that in Russia, we have always valued loyalty and a sense of belonging above all - above success and material wealth. I have a good example of that from my own experience. Back when I was at school, when I finished my research on language, I was told that if I were only to state that my affiliation is with a school in Moscow, I would get a pretty decent monetary reward from the government (because Moscow can afford to support scholarly work with its coffers). If I were to state that I come from a school in my actual hometown - a little port town in the South - I would not get the bonus, since there is no such program of rewards implemented in other regions of Russia. And I chose the latter - a choice my parents supported wholeheartedly. The reward that I could get was equivalent to $10,000, and still I refused. If I were to accept the offer from Moscow, I would be depriving my hometown and my school (which does not teach foreign languages in any form but which I'm still very fond of) of the recognition they deserve. The mayor of my hometown met me in person and shook my hand, and I was featured in a local newspaper. Not a day has passed before market vendors and bus drivers started recognising my face and smiling. It was the most rewarding decision in my life, and now that I think about it, I can't really imagine this kind of thing happening in the US.
I love this video cuz a LOT of Stardew valley "fan facts u didn't know!!!" videos are stuff that you'll eventually know after a few hours playing. But watching this genuinely made me learn things I had no idea of

Fun facts (sorry this is long):
One of Sebastian's beta designs looks like L from death note and three of them include an ear piercing. Another fact I got from the wiki is that he's possibly the only one who likes flounder, a reference to the little mermaid
Abigail's hair used to be blue and her hair clip doesn't show up in her portrait
Other than Emily, Shane also kinda mentions Yoba. See his 6 heart event where one option leads him to say he's atheist
Also, when you are married to him and have 14 hearts, he can say that: ,, The name Shane means , gift from yoba'... What a joke"

Just imagining Krobus, doing like a chant for children to appear. Look up Grims Mojo, its the grim reaper doing a funny chant to hype himself up. 😂 I imagined krobus doing that.
I figured out that Krobus actually tastes like black licorice! In one of his dialogues, he mentions that while you were sleeping you nibbled him and mentioned something like "black lick or ish" and is confused as to what that means. I don't like black licorice, but I thought this fact was adorable
I read a comment elsewhere that you can buy black licorice for Krobus at the theater and he loves it
I just assumed Alex's pointer finger was that last one hidden behind the gridball
Sam always gets mad when I try to dig in the trash in his room, so I dont know what people are going on about XD

Besides Penny, Sebastian is the only spouse who hates alcoholic drinks. Given that Penny's mom is an alcoholic, maybe Sebastian dislikes it for the same reason (perhaps his bio father was an alcoholic)
I always look forward to Fall Year 1 when I can start gathering ingredients for pumpkin soup for the exact reason you described.
All of these tidbits are really interesting! The theory of Leah having a type of gluten intolerance but liking poppyseed muffins checks out-I have friends with similar health restrictions but if a pastry they love appears, they will often endure the consequences.

Fun fact about the hands:
It's most likely a thing to do with the artists style. Lots of artists draw four fingers on people, especially animators. The reason this is is because having 5 fingers usually makes the characters hand look crowded and is harder to animate 5 fingers.
Yes, some artists draw 5 fingers but usually you see 4 fingers on a cartoon character due to art style, animation time saving, or so it doesn't look too crowded.
Or maybe they're doing a gravity falls and making the number of fingers inconsistent by accident
I'm tired of people acting like cartoon characters having 4 fingers Is weird, it's such a common thing to have in character design. Just because you notice a character having 4 fingers doesn't mean anything crazy or groundbreaking.

I think Shane also has a line of dialogue if you marry him saying something like "the name Shane means 'gift from Yoba'..what a joke"

this was a really interesting video! one of my favorite small things is that you can pet the traveling merchant’s pig and it’ll oink at you. i’m sure lots of people know this but i’ve always thought it was a cute touch.

After i marry penny, her schedule seems broken.. she won't supervised the kids to the park on Saturday, so the kids seems talking and wait on a ghost, also she keep going to teach at library even though it's raining and the kids stays at home.
