The thing (I think wd40 which is also suggested in Akra's manual) they wipe it with when they put it on with, is to remove the oil from their fingers while installing it. If they leave it it burns off on it and makes the nice colours from the heat... Not so smooth. You probably will wipe the exhaust to clean and protect with wd40, that's what I do and works perfectly. The other thing is the upmap helps regulate how it runs (it runs richer in petrol if they don't proram it properly). The little fumes that come out never stop, remember you don't have a cat anymore lol. Interesting it says "Racing Pro", mine says just "Racing" with the other Akra :o It's a beautiful bike, whenever I walk into the garage I just stare at it and everything feels better. The insert are not db-killer but it’s a part of the exhaust it self and it’s mate to be used only with that mesh insert. Check the manual insert that say that in detail. The engine map is done with that insert so must stay on. For those want real Db-killer are available on the catalog and sold apart .
They were not installed by the dealer…you can see in my video when I picked it up from the dealer after the exhaust was installed. I just assumed they were the db killers since they look identical to the ones on their website. If you configure the Panigale V4S and go the the accessory list, they have a photo that looks the same. 🤷🏻♂️ Thanks for watching!

I had a question which you started to go into a little, the mapping for the ECU after installing the exhaust. Did they use an UpMap t800 to do the remapping? and if so, how has it been so far? any issues? Idling....going through the gears....any cutoff issues? The dealer I am having install the exhaust recommended the UpMap, so I am doing homework, since I have the time waiting. Thank you! I wasn’t told the UpMap used, so sorry I don’t have that information. The UpMap just “comes with” the purchase of the exhaust from the dealer…I was told that’s why the exhaust is so expensive. Congratulations on the purchase, hopefully it’s a quick arrival for you…my bike only took 3 weeks to arrive (ordered March 8th) but the exhaust took over 5 months!! @@fffogg Yes, prior to the exhaust and the UpMap being installed, it said Racing Evo on start up… I haven’t had any issues before or after with idling, shifting, etc… It has been an AWESOME experience! Definitely the BEST look for a motorcycle is a Ducati with the dual Akra under tail!!! You’re going to LOVE the sound!!!
Dope. I have a 23 v4s also. I got all carbon accessories but could not do the full akra system due to californias Strict noise laws ☠️😮💨 will prolly go out of state to get the full system instslled. Idk if i want akra or termi yet tho 🤣😍🥰

No…once she saw how I ride, she didn’t want to get on lol However, what I was thinking was to have a couple “L” brackets made that would flip the two that mount to the foot pegs, putting the vertical side on the inside instead of outside of foot peg area…. Thanks for watching!!

@@anmolverma859 well, I think the sounds are close but the undertail gives more sound being a racing exhaust. You don’t hear it yourself as much with the undertail being behind you vs under you. The noise behind is loud enough it irritated a couple Ducati riders behind me on a Ducati event…which really surprised me because I didn’t think a true Ducati sound would bother someone that loves Ducati. 🤷🏻♂️ However, depending where you live, the undertail might not be able to be installed. In the US they’re illegal for road use. I had to sign a waiver at the dealership stating I would only be using it on track and not on the road. 🤦🏻♂️🫠 Ducati will fine the technician that installs it, is what I was told at the dealership. Ducati used to fine the dealership for installing race exhausts on street bikes. Then Ducati realized the dealerships didn’t care and would happily pay the fine…so they started fining the tech that does the install, so the waiver is to protect the technician. Thanks for watching!
4:50 I’d like to know more about what solvent the tech used to treat the titanium exhaust before he heat-cycled it. I have a v2 with stock exhaust and it broke in very “patchy” which takes away from the look of the thing.
I didn’t go to the previous Ducs & Donuts due to weather. However, I went today and talked to him…he said he uses WD-40 and scotch pads. He said to run the scotch pads back and forth “lengthwise” only. That will help it color smoothly. 👍

What a badass exhaust and with my bose headphones it sounds mean and angry. Are those the standard DB killers or did you purchased them? would it be possible to download a DB measure app and check the DB levels with idle and 6000rpm from 1.5mtr distance please.

Mission accomplished!! lol When Ducati came out with the V4, I read their goal was to not lose the sound of the twin they’re known for…🤷🏻♂️ It is Ducati upmap. All in, just under $10k US….worth EVERY dollar!!

why? omg why is every single V4 owner reving their bike in 2 cylinder mode??? omg why! it's such a waste. rev it in first gear so all 4 cylinders are fired up instead of just the 2. it makes a huge difference. no one should be reving the Panigale V4 in Neutral., always in 1st gear and hold the clutch.

When the bike is in neutral, doesn't the bike only run on 2 cylinders for heat? So I think it'll sound very different once you go into gear.
It only does that with the stock exhaust. Now it’s full time beast sound! lol

why? omg why is every single V4 owner reving their bike in 2 cylinder mode??? omg why! it's such a waste. rev it in first gear so all 4 cylinders are fired up instead of just the 2. it makes a huge difference. no one should be reving the Panigale V4 in Neutral., always in 1st gear and hold the clutch.
Actually, rpms also take it out of 2 cylinder mode.
