Dear Olga, we were in Antalya in 2nd week of this month, we could go to Pamokale only, rest two days were ruined by continuous rain and we stayed in our hotel Exporoyal. We enjoyed 4 days stay in Alanya.
Hi Olga, thank you for your effort and making so detailed comparison videos. Very appreciated!🌸 I was wondering one thing. Normally shopping malls are very crowded in Turkey. Is this mall always less crowded than usual malls? Has it something to do with the time of the day/week or people go shopping malls less due to increased prices?
In my experience: low tourist season + daytime (before 6pm) + weekday = little people in malls almost everywhere. Plus now the winter sales just finished, so much less people go shopping. I was in the Mall of Antalya on Thursday from midday till around 7PM. I chose this time so I can film without too many people around :). So overall I don’t know for sure how much increased prices affected sales.
Hi, I just wanted to thank you for your previous video. My family and I are going to Antalya in June, and I happened to stumble onto your content. I forced my husband to check the exchange rate, and we ended up exchanging a good amount for our trip. We got a rate of 12 TL/1USD after fees, instead of the almost 15/1 raw ratio, but that's to be expected. So again, thank you!
@@ozlemkartal5050 concretely, if we are not derailed by WW3, my family and I are going to help by eating at local businesses, and shopping at local businesses, not global, non-Turkish places. We love to travel, so we don't globe-trot to visit MacDo and buy only Luxury Made in China. We also love Turkish food because we have lived in close proximity to Turkish people in Germany. In kind, I hope my family and I will not be met by too many of the scammers that other youtubers warn tourists to be wary of in Turkey.
For those who want to go shoping need to come with the empty suitcase because of the weight allowance of the airline companies you can pay a lot at the airport check in desk. Check tax free option as well at the shop.
Thank you for the shopping mall tour. WOW, this can be over-whelming but thanks to you we know where the Turkish stores are to shop. Also, I would need to purchase a phone when I get there to download information about Hes and other I will need. I only now in Mexico have a cheap phone using Sims. Thank you very much for all the information I am counting down the days with excitement💜
when watching this I noticed it was not very crowded with people, so if you do get into a shop, you are immediate approached as you are the only one there, especially the more expensive shops. I'm from Holland and we seem to have a reputation of 'looking, looking, but not buying' Last time I was in Antalya, was Jan 2020, just bevore the sh*t hit the fan. Exchange rate was more than double of the current one (Jan 2022). Prices still seem to be the same in Euros or Dollars. Not sure though for the Turks themselves.
Hi Olga, Sometimes the lighting of the shop and or angle of the camera makes it difficult to see the price. Maybe if you read out the price at same time of zooming on the ticket will be helpful.
@Hamideh Guest Thanks for the tips! I'm thinking next time I should show less items and put more work in overvoice instead :) This time I wanted to cover as much as possible in one day and release the video quickly before the prices change again
Hi Olga thanks dear iam planning to come there for two months where can I rent a studio in posh safe near sea and how much should I pay thanks dear you are doing a great job
Hi Natalie, I stayed at this apart hotel ruclips.net/video/ayZd4Y6VtQs/видео.html I also tried airbnbs, but so far price/quality I liked apart hotels in Turkey better
very interesting, especially the prices for food! I am collecting food-prices for a self-made price-index of Alanya/Antalya (I do not believe in the official accounts/statistics). spasibo for sharing, Olga hanim! if you will go shopping on a bazar/farmers-market, I would appreciate a youtube-vid (thanks in advance). the soup is very cheap! was it a small size!? the salad looks delicous!

The problem is that all the prices isn't visible.
Maybe try on a bigger screen (laptop). Also quite often the prices are displayed on top, they are clearly visible

Is it safe to for a solo female traveller to visit Antalya?
Definitely safe! If you use common sense like in any other big city, everything should be good. Antalya is very safe for tourists.
