I’ve been a fan of this legendary group since 1989 & have been fortunate enough to see them in concert 11 times across 3 countries. Each show was a true experience I’ll never forget 🤘😁
@@lw3918 … For what??? I know that not everyone likes them but I do & have enjoyed each concert of theirs I went to. If you’re not a fan of theirs, I can understand & respect that but I have no regrets in regards to being a fan of them.
@@lw3918 … That’s okay & like I said, I know that not everyone likes them but all I can do is respect the opinions of those who don’t without starting arguments of any kind. Every famous person or group on the planet have people that love them & hate them or who are not fans & Bon Jovi are no exception ✌️😁
I'm glad to see you reacting to this one - it's one of their best. Very sad that you didn't do the official video. You missed a really amazing one. Really adds to the song. You should check it out on your own time :)
Fantastic song - a karaoke must along with Livin' on a Prayer. Frank Sinatra was Jon Bon Jovi's great uncle - imagine having a legend like that show up at family reunions with a casserole - that'd be weird, lol.
Wife here..Have Loved Bon Jovi since 1987...The Frank Sinatra reference is VERY COOL!!!. BJ...Also..,i like that Bon Jovi referenced " Tommy and Gina" from his earlier hit "Living on a Prayer" is Awesome..Message and song is sooo Groovy Jamming..Yessss Ms. Asia..
Bon Jovi is hands down my favorite band, and this song is my all-time favorite (and has been for as for as long as I can remember). The second that opening riff hits I can't help but smile. Also, a fun fact: On the "My Way" reference, apparently Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora argued over whether or not it should have been included. JBJ was quoted as saying "He [Sambora] said, "You can't write that damn lyric. Nobody cares about Frank Sinatra but you." And I wrote it anyway." Personally, I'm glad he added it because I think it fits really well with the overall theme of the song
This is what I call their comeback song. A fresh release with classic BJ sound…it put them back on the map and showed 80’s rock was still relevant and desired!
I was just a little kid in the 80s, but growing up in Jersey, my big sister and my cousins had the big hair with all the hairspray, and they loved Bon Jovi!
Another good one off the same cd is "Who Says You Can't Go Home",but you have to do the original.Their is a country version too but it's nowhere near as good.
Fun Fact: the reference to Frank Sinatra is a reference to Jon Bon Jovi's Great Uncle Frankie. The family called him Frankie, but the world knows him as Frank Sinatra. Jon wanted to make it on his own (to do it his way), so nobody found out that Frank Sinatra was his great uncle till the 90s. The titles of the two songs-- Frank's "I Did It My Way" and Jon's "It's My Life" essentially mean the same thing. If you check out young photos of Frank and Jon, you will definitely see a family resemblance.
I don't know how far back you want to go, but I have a request of "Pistol Packing Mama" by Bing Crosby. I heard it first at my grandparents house when I was little and it made me smile. I just heard it again yesterday after over 40 years. It made me smile again.
Would recommend you listen to Love Lies by Bon Jovi, not a lot of people are familiar with their original Glam Metal rhythm from the first 2 albums but they’re great albums
You should react to "Almost There" and the intro "Down In New Orleans" from the movie: The Princess and the Frog from Disney, its great upbeat jazz and has a 1920's New Orleans background
You WILL LIVE FOR EVER ,,,, If ,,,,,, your born again thew The Lord Jesus Christ You must be born again ...JOHN CH 3 V 5 THREW 7 ,, We ALL will live for ever One place or the other , HEAVEN OR HELL ITS YOUR CHOICE ,,
In the part he said like Frankie said I did it my way he was talking about Frank Sinatra cause Jon bon jovi the lead singer is related to Frank Sinatra.
This New Jersean is grateful you did this (plz go back and watch OV for urself). More B.J. "Never Say Goodbye" "Silent Night" or "Wild In The Streets". Awesome reaction guys.
Yep, you need to get your act together, LOL!! Jon's voice is not one you can't know when you hear it when you've heard it enough times so get it together people and react to more Bon Jovi, lol!
I think it's more the fact that he's strained his voice with those higher notes and didn't train his voice to be able to sustain them as he aged but you're right that it could be smoking. I know he used to and quit over 10 years ago but the damage was probably already done.
Started smoking at age 32 and stopped in 2010 after pricing life insurance. What most don’t realize is Ritchie’s contribution to vocals. Now with Ritchie gone, and Jon is older, the voice just doesn’t land the way it used to. He also had Covid last October and it sorta changed the voice. He couldn’t sing for a few weeks and may have left lingering damaged or changed vocals.
The Tommy & Gina verse is an ode to their big hit..Living On A Prayer…
Living on a prayer
Journey
they never backed down

My dad met Bon Jovi in his life as a roadie, he said he was a chill and pretty cool dude but he was also very kind as well. 😊
One of my all time favorite songs. "Someday I'll be Saturday Night" by Bon Jovi is my personal favorite song all time.

@@theodoreritola7641 I’m aware of that, but when you think of Bon Jovi, you think 80s. At least I do.
Love it.

Jon said multiple times that they are not related.
Married 40+ years to his high school sweetheart, has a free restaurant for whoever needs it.
I have a tattoo that says I did it my way, inspired by both this song and Sinatra.
Bon jovi is a legend
Homies! Both Jon and Frank!
Yes, unforgivable almost :-)) going straight to BJ videos playlist right now!!
Frank Sinatra is Jon Bon Jovi’s Great Uncle
Good evening guys thanks🤘🧡💯🎵

There’s been a long time rumor that Frank Sinatra and Jon are related. They’re not, just an urban legend.

Love Bon Jovi! Can you do some Lewis Capaldi ❤️
Jon Bon Jovi still sings but mostly soft songs, you can watch him.
In the part he said like Frankie said I did it my way he was talking about Frank Sinatra cause Jon bon jovi the lead singer is related to Frank Sinatra.

That wasn't a reference to Frank Sinatra - its a reference to Frankie Valli.

it is unbelievable that a grown man should never have heard this song anywhere. Unless you live alone in a bunker!

I second this. It's my top favorite Steve Perry solo song! Absolute perfection.

Why does it say "Asia and PJ", at the bottom of the blue screen?
Nice
I‘m kind a Sad you did not us the Ofitial Music Video, would be so motch more Impactfull
You should watch the original video in your sessions instead of lyrics. This one especially
A song i can never listen to with the volume down....lol...
Without official music video this doesnt make any sense
you need to watch the video . you will get a much better experience.
First time, really? Where planet you from?
Jon sounds good here .Voice has really left him ..Maybe a smoker or around a lot of second - hand smoke..That usually does it .

Not for me
This song came out 22 years ago. And it's messaging is more important than ever before. 🖕🖕 Cancel Culture. PS the official video is cool too.
Bon Jovi have not done any songs ever. This is produced by a swede as usual!
Jon personally wrote 34 of the bands songs. I just looked it up. He wrote some of their best hits. Including Living on a Prayer.
Please no Bon Jovi.
