I catch my personal best landlocked salmon. How to properly identify trout and landlocked salmon. Trout and salmon physical traits. I caught this male landlocked salmon through the ice. I was ice fishing in Maine for brook trout and landlocked salmon. There are some distinct traits or features to look for on a landlocked salmon and a brown trout to be able to tell the two apart from one another. It's extremely easy to mistake a landlocked salmon for a brown trout and easy to mistake some brown trout for landlocked salmon. This sort of thing happens quite often to people that have fished all their lives. This fishing video will help you to never make this mistake again.
