I was thinking something like that, but after seeing this I think I'm going to start setting up screen sets, one like this and the other with just the mixer and just switch between them
I agree. I'm thinking about moving over from Cakewalk which has this and much more available (but easily hideable) to the left by default, while still maintaining a full mixer view.
I do this and also put the master mixer on the right hand side of the screen. Then I save it as a Screenset from from actions menu so I can quickly flip between this view and a full mixer view (I'm just using one monitor, so being able to flip between the two views is helpful)
This is almost perfect timing. I used to use the track inspector fader, but lost that layout. Last week, I was trying to remember how to get it back and finally got something mostly there. I was just missing the control-drag to adjust the ratio of effects and sends to fader. Thanks, Kenny!
The first time I saw you use that layout was in "Mixing in Reel Time". I got hooked on that and saved it as a separate layout. Now that you created a separate video just for that trick, it's easy to find and get back to. Kudos Kenny as always!
Reaper is really developing fast.. it must adapt all the features of other daws also.. to be the number one in the market for each type of music production..
Incredible tutorial as always! I learn more and more about this DAW as I have started work on my EP. I am sure you get this a lot, what is the best way to contact you for business?
I've been doing it this way for years with my master track docked to the right hand side of the screen. I've been hoping Reaper would add a real track inspector at some point.
Can't believe I knew about something before Kenny did a video on it! Actually I use the mixer panel more than the track panel. How many of you guys do that? Most of the time on YT vids guys are working only in the track panel. Maybe my preference goes back to my analog mixer days.
This is really something missing in Reaper there is on Cakewalk Sonar I left long time ago for Reaper stability. It should be a good idea for a next version
This is so cool! I tried it on a folder track though and it shows all the faders of the child tracks on top of each other. Is that by design or there's something wrong in my settings?
when I do sidechaining, do it in the reaper in the sequencer, everything is fine, but when rendering everything sounds completely different, help with the problem
Hola estoy usando un launchpad en reaper y quiero mapear las teclas por que solo me reconoce algunas notas como puedo hacerlo para tocar piano o algo asi ?
Hey Kenny I need your help. I went and recorded a whole bunch of parts and dynamically split them during the process. Now I need to send it to someone else. And They need the full tracks which are not dynamically split and they need them in full solid bar tracks if you know what I mean. Is there anyway I can use a tool to make these all one solid track now since they're dynamically split? If you have a video, please comment and post it. It'd be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much for your help. I watch your videos all the time
Reaper can start using his face as the official REAPER logo - this man is a genius.
Reaper really needs a dedicated track inspector so you can have both the mixer and track inspector open at the same time.

@@ThePilate30 That is the way.
@@ThePilate30 I do have screensets for this, but I would still prefer having both available.

@@glennlittle7955 Yeah, my old DAW Samplitude also had both a track inspector and mixer. It's one of the few features I still miss from Samplitude.
I hope Kenny realises what an invaluable fountain of knowledge he is for we Reaper newbies. Thanks Kenny.
