Tom Brady is by far the best offensive player to ever play pro football. Overall I would probably pick Lewis, Reed, then Brady, then Sapp, then Montana.
It's more like a fraternity than a sports team; not just teammates for 4 years, but brothers for life. Even if one plays for the Cowboys and one plays for the Redskins in the NFL, they're still family.
I'm a Gator Alum and the U back in the 80's and 90's were the toughest punch you in the mouth teams ever to take the field. I still to this day watch reruns of their games and sit their in awe in how great they really were. The U now...they need a coaching staff with passion, energy, and some history with that University. Coach Butch Davis would bring them back from the ashes as he would lock down the recruiting in the South Florida area. Wouldn't hurt to bring Michael Irvin in as a WR coach, Warren Sapp as a DL coach, and Ray Lewis at Linebackers.
University of Miami players in the 1980's & 1990's just seemed SO MATURE for their young ages. They took playing for the University of Miami very seriously & with a sense of Pride. You knew you would have to WAIT your TURN to the player ahead of you. But, when you got your chance to perform , you knew you would be heading to the NFL. That's WHY players from All Over the Country wanted to play for the University of Miami. No Social Media Distractions, No College Portal Transferring. No paying contracts. To think Michael Irvin, Warren Sapp, Ray Lewis, Ed Reed had INCREDIBLE " Hall of Fame" NFL Careers and just wanted to play for National Championships at the "U" , that's all they cared about during their College Days.
exactly. Your favorite tem isn't worth a shit so you root for the conference as if it were a team. Only $EC fans do this. I'm a Miami fan but I sure as hell ain't rooting for FSU in the playoff just because they're in the same conference
@m2diggs the defense stunk against the giants and the rams both games the defense was getting pushed around and they needed tom brady to drive down the field and win the game. no one will ever think the pats defense during the early 2000s were on any level with the ravens, steelers, cowboys etc....those pats teams were offense led teams.
look at marshall faulk's face through this whole video. It's a face of disgust cause he never beat The U while in college. His team got wrecked, a brawl broke out (which they lost that too), and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson running around after the Aztec chief screaming "I'll kill you, I'll kill you"!!!!!!!! what a nice game.
hahaa Michael Irvin, Warren Sapp.... Ray Lewis.... all of them Miami Hurricanes.... looking at a top 50 list of the greatest Miami Hurricanes is like a "top 50 NFL greatest players" list hahahah
@tatertots00 super bowl mvp ray....the only reason the ravens havent won more super bowls is because the offense has stunk it up for 7 or 8 years. the defense basically won the 2000 super bowl by themselves they only needed the offense to score 9 points and the game was over. the 2000 ravens didnt score an offensive TD for about 6 straight games and the defense carried that team. ray won games single handily by him self like the AFC divisional playoff game against the titans.
@bravesfootball28 How many of those came in the scholarship era? Or after the integration of the black athlete? Schools like Notre Dame and Ohio State love to talk about all of their 'National Championships' when most of them came at a time when 5 or 6 schools could dominate the country and hoard all of the h.s. talent available. Before the 80's there were teams with 100+ players on scholarship just for football. Miami did all of their winning when winning was much more difficult.
LMAO man its all about the U. sean taylor, ed reed, clinton portis, santana moss, ray lewis, frank gore, willis mcgahee, reggie wayne, johnathan vilma, jeremy shockey... jesus. the U just pumps out that talent. and that isn't even 1/4 of em. go back to the 80s and it gets real scary.
@tatertots00 lester hayes and minniefield had their names added to the hall of fame ballot in 2007...they will be in the hall sonny boy. oh and when tedy wins a game for the pats let me know...ive seen ray do it but last i checked the pats were having to come back in 3 of 4 super bowls because the defense was getting ran up and down the field....super brady had to win those games thats why he has multiple super bowl and league MVPS...tedy was known to miss many tackles thats fact.
@bravesfootball28 don't get me wrong alabama is great...but its hard for any cane to admit the U isnt the greatest program. there really is something different in the U that cant be explained. when you hear people say its a canes thing, its not just a figure of speech... you really cant explain how it is to be a cane..the tide is really great though.
im good moved to LA for a job hope all is well...as far as the canes at least the NCAA will be softer with the penalties but honestly i think miami is still building but that defense has to get it together i have never seen a lower IQ defense in my life at miami but i think we'll be ready in a year or two we just have to get this scandal behind us because kids are running away from miami and going every where else.
@tatertots00 Dude you obviously don't know what you're talking about. Ray Lewis is the second best linebacker I have seen in my lifetime (Lawrence Taylor hands down number one). You bring up the Fiesta Bowl, lol! Let me remind you that football is a team sport and not an individual one and for the record Miami did beat University of Arizona twice (home and home series) back before that meeting.
@tatertots00 ray lewis is a leader and has led his team for 14 years. has a super bowl and has a super bowl MVP. ted was a cog in a machine he was not the only leader on that defense. you're bringing up that arizona team like ted was the leader on those teams HE WASNT... the leader on that team was ROB WALDROP he swept the awards that year.. rob won the nagurski, outland and bednarik. ray is the best MLB all time DEAL WITH IT. super bowls are team goals.
@tatertots00 the 2000 rams are statistically the best offense of all time (up to that year) they broke the scoring record dummy. the rams were #1 in that season and they lost but it wasnt because of tedy bruschi it was because Ty law and otis smith scored defensive TDs...you apparently didnt watch the game. in the 2nd half the D fell apart and let the rams back in it..
@tatertots00 so basically what you are saying is the patriots would have still won with chris redman, elvis grbac, steve mcnair, trent dilfer, kyle boller or tony banks at QB right? if you think so then you need to have your head checked for serious case of idiocy. ray lewis leads his team with passion...he is not just another cog in a machine like tedy was. the ravens offense stunk in 2000 also they went 5 straight games without a offensive TD the D carried that team led by ray.....enuff said
@tatertots00 last i checked the colts in 2006 went to the super bowl and won it. when someone besides YOU say ted bruschi is better than ray lewis holla at me till then be quite LOL!!! this is a ridiculous argument.
@tatertots00 10 middle backers better than tedy.....ray lewis, mike singletary, harry carson, brian urlacher, dick butkus, jack lambert, willie lanier, ray nitschke, nick buoniconti and joe schmidt....go look those guys up and learn about the great middle line backers.....tedy isnt close to those guys and they all have led their teams to super bowl or NFL championships.
@tatertots00 frank minniefield and lester hayes are not first ballot and they will get in just like ty law and mcginest will...we know bruschi wont be in the hall LOL!! ray is an underachiever? lets see here he has done everything he was asked to do and more and has been basically the only defensive player to EVER lead his team to a super bowl...tedy is just team captain LOL!!!! the same thing ray has been for 14 years. tedy never led new england anywhere TOM BRADY DID.
One of the greatest moments in the history of The U
Sapp and Irvine are amazing together.
This is my favorite video ever. I cannn't be in a bad mood when I watch this hilarity.
I miss this set. Sapp Irvin Marshall
Facts!!
There is just something about The U that just keeps you coming back!
Irvin's face/sound makes me laugh hard every time.
You guys had a great season this year. 12-0 and National Champion with Barkley being Heisman winner. Great season, didn't choke at all.
I'm a Niner fan and only other team jersey I have is of M Irwin! My favorite player under Rice, Montana & Lott!
The irony about this is Marshall Faulk wanted to go to Miami
ROFLMAO!! I almost pissed my pants laughing... It's true, Michael Irvin BARKS!!!
He's here
lol these guys are the U. Man these guys are too funny
michael irvin aint afraid ta get foolish on national television lol
I'm a Gator Alum and the U back in the 80's and 90's were the toughest punch you in the mouth teams ever to take the field. +Erick Jackson It's a year later, and Mark Richt is with Miami. Congratulations, you predicted the future.
+Jesus Martinez Ain't gonna lie though, I would have preferred Butch.

Those days is over with 😢

SEC IS MY conference but I will NEVER EVER NEVER EVER! discredit what the U did. MUH GAWD they were good!
typical $EC fan that doesn't know how to root for a team.

exactly. Your favorite tem isn't worth a shit so you root for the conference as if it were a team. Only $EC fans do this. I'm a Miami fan but I sure as hell ain't rooting for FSU in the playoff just because they're in the same conference
My team is being built and i Don't love Ole miss I hate them Unless they are playing another Conference.

Interesting fact best reffed game in college football history Miami vs small school. 77-0 Miami.
Easy to say that now but couldnt say that in the 80s or the late 90s and early 2000s
College football knows it's about the U
