    It's very sad to see Brazil on this list and remember that we didn't go beyond that. after the VLS accident that killed 20 pad workers 3 days before launch, governments never again invested so much in our space program and there was a huge loss of public interest. currently we only do small booster tests for a rocket that they believe can fly in 2030 and some initiatives from colleges that make microsatellites

    • @thiagot.santos3761
      @thiagot.santos3761 Год назад +4

      @@GoToSpace_GTS I really hope it's like this. the specialized media says that not even in dreams does the VLM fly on the planned date and we do not have any transparency in relation to the development since those who do this are still military. In the Alcântara launch base, there is not even internet. a military base without internet. absurd

    • @GoToSpace_GTS
      @GoToSpace_GTS  Год назад +1

      @@thiagot.santos3761 I understand what your saying about the VLM program. But in the end, Brazil will need its own launcher in order to be independent. And as Brazil is developing more and more, the need to launch satellites in space will be more obvious, maybe this will push them to advance on the space program.

    • @thiagot.santos3761
      @thiagot.santos3761 Год назад +1

      @@GoToSpace_GTS excuse my pessimism. this is a feeling that all of us brazilians have in relation to the development of technologies here. I have never seen a country where the argument "this money could be used to fight hunger" was so used. there is also the factor that even though it is a state without religion, there are still pastors in politics trying to mix things up and this means that there are almost more churches here than schools and universities. I really hope I'm biased by living here and being affected by bad news on a daily basis.

    • @imvihbfdciy
      @imvihbfdciy 9 дней назад +2

      There are two ways to read numbers in Korean: Sino-Korean and Native Korean.
      In South Korea, both systems are widely used, but Sino-Korean numbers are typically reserved for formal or official contexts. In contrast, North Korea seems to use Native Korean numbers more frequently.
      Differences:
      - 1: 일 (il: Sino-Korean) / 하나 (hana: Native Korean)
      - 2: 이 (i: Sino-Korean) / 둘 (dul: Native Korean)
      - 3: 삼 (sam: Sino-Korean) / 셋 (set: Native Korean)
      ... and so on.
      In the context of this video, the South Korean speaker used Sino-Korean numbers, which might sound somewhat similar to Mandarin pronunciations. Meanwhile, the North Korean speaker opted for Native Korean numbers.

      North Korea and Iran are both ahead of all but ~8 other counties in terms of independent launch capabilites. South Korea is just now pursuing independent orbital launch, which North Korea has been doing for many years now. North Korea seems to be aiming to escalate from LEO launches to SSO or Geo-synchronous orbital launches.
      The whole "North Korea has Walmart rockets" meme is deeply inaccurate. They are one of the only nations on earth with global range ICBMs (them, Russia, China, and the US... France and the UK have global reach via SLBMs instead). They may lag in a lot of areas, but rockets aren't really one of them.
