The informality of motorsport commentators on the Hungarian Eurosport channels in the 2000's were golden. He says something like: "Let's not beat Pietro Gandolfi up! *giggles* - This might go into slapping *giggles*... Natascha Gachnang has to be held down." Then later: "Pietro Gandolfi arrives here like someone who wants to win the race, under yellow flags." He then finishes with "Sorry, but these are very comical scenes".
The one that I remember the most is the 2013 Euro F3 Open at Spa in Belgium. Nicholas Pohler took the worst crash of all, cause he flipped his car over, while other drivers get involved in the crash under the Safety Car under yellow after Santiago Urrutia's flip at the Les Combes chicane.
The incident at 4:25 is insane, the drivers are hardly slowing down at all! Ideally, needed the double-waved yellow flags already at that point, but the fact there's a clear yellow flag and they're still pushing is mental. Those marshals could have so easily been wiped out.
You can Add - Russell on San Marino 2020, Alexander Wurz Avus 1995, Huge Crash at 2020 Tuscan at the end of the Safety car Period. Michael Schumacher Monaco 2004, Raikkonen Canada 2008 and Webber Fuji 2007 to make this video a bit longer.
The first one was in the early morning due to my timezone, so I had to wake up at 3:30(?), meanwhile my whole family was sleeping. After Nissany's crash I went away for a minute and when I got back I saw Fittipaldi... Now I am glad for not seeing it, if I would have seen it in live, I would have laughed so hard, that my whole family might have wake up because of it. 😂
You did this video and forgot to list the 1992 Indianapolis 500 where Roberto Guerrero, the *Polesitter of the race,* crashed out under the pace laps before the race even began?? 😮😮😮😮😮🤦🤦🤦🤦
Irrelevant, but one of the TCR World Tour drivers managed to crash under safety car during the Bathurst International. I believe something failed, as it went straight ahead into the wall at Forrest's Elbow.
Not sure what happened in the Formula Renault Monza one. Was that a medical car that the leader mistook for the safety car? That’s the only explanation I can think of
grosjean was my favorite driver and azerbaijan is my home race i saw him crashing there while he was p6 my eyes watered i tried so hard to not to cry ;(
What Vettel did was unacceptable regardless of context. I’m not a Lewis fan by any means but it was a disgrace that he wasn’t black flagged and given a race ban, basically only because he was a main championship contender. Any other driver besides Lewis and Vettel would have been disqualified for that instantly
Jesus Christ, a lot of early Safety Car crashes are just people ignoring the Safety Car Condition and still driving fast! Was it not enforced to slow down back then!?
I know we all love Vettel now and he's become a real elder statesman of the sport, but he should have been disqualified and given multiple race ban for that incident in Baku. I don't care what he thinks Lewis did to him, the correct response is never to show your frustration by deliberately driving into the other car. It's horrendously dangerous and shows no respect for the safety of the other driver or the ones behind who might get hit by flying debris since they're all running so close together.
Between Ricciardo's underdog win and this incident, this was the race the got me properly following F1 and motorsport. It was so refreshing seeing someone lose their temper like this in their field watched by millions worldwide, but in retrospect? How was he not banned hahaha
The announcer losing his shit at 6:50 is peak comedy. Dudes are about to fight, and the announcer cant hold his giggles.
Isn't the one in the white firesuit a lady ?

There was also a guy calling the Nissan Delta wing a "speeding pancake pan" during the night of one of the 24h of Le mans races.
I didnt notice originally, but yeah, youre right, its Natacha Gachnang@@alexisgasnier4293
The one in white is Natacha Gachnang.
“I think Ericsson hit us” iconic.
And now he's commentating the F1 Grand Prix on French television.
@@AdDashcamFrancehis engineer is?
Ericsson: "what the hell is he sayin?"
@@mistermarshall9542bro was 4 car lengths ahead of him 💀
I love that it's clearly an American accent saying it and yet it still gets attributed to Grosjean lol
All of these crashes were Ericsson's fault

Yeah a huge pile up with 8 cars I remember it so well
Nicholas Pohler's 2013 crash almost reminiscence to Inoue's 1995 crash at Monaco in FP1.

There is a double yellow, so that means the drivers have ignored at least two flag signals at this point.
Awesome video! I also recall George Russell binning it in the wet at Imola, 20' or '21 :)
2020 and then it was Mick who crashed behind the SC aswell in 2021 at Imola
@@maxb148mick debuted in 2021
There's the pileup at Zandfoort but idk if restarts count
Timmy Hansen in single seaters, that feels so bizzare to me!
I did a double take as well
And he was actually good too
Surprised no Russell Imola 2020 here
I saw that live as well.
Same with Mick Imola 2021
1:40 the leader thought the ambulance was the safety car and tried not to pass it. That was crazy!
why was an ambulance driving around like that and moving in the racing line anyway
I love the "i think ericcson hit us" meme so much
Ericsson Put Fittipaldi’s Steering Wheel Error With Grosjean DNF
Funny how people, 5 years later, still believe/ think it was Romain saying Ericsson hit him

There was one in macau just last week in F4 SE Asia

ok but whos trying to over take the safety car??
@@gabrielcreamer5012idiots
Don't think that's the safety car, looks more like a medical / marshal car.
Cuz it wasn't the safety car lol
1:40 Holy shit never seen this crash. That's crazy, seems like they weren't expecting the SC to come out
Wasn't Russell in Imola 2020 also under Safety Car conditions?
they probs didn't include every crash
06:30 is that Natacha Gachnang? Buemi's cousin?
yes
2024 we got this:
"I think Sargeant hit us".
Coco Hayashi to Logan Sargeant: Really?
In this kind of accidents it's very easy for cars to fly because they go so slowly that the downforce has almost no effect.

That 2009 Italian one was ridiculous

Mikel Azcona, yeah
Ironically, Santiago Urrutia (4:47) won a different race in TCRWT that same weekend!

George Russell at I think Imola is a good one missing. I'm sure a part 2 is in the works.
You forgot Grosjean 2014 Hungary he crashed under the SC
f1 2020 imola George Russell
" I think Ericson hit us"
I feel like this happens the most at Imola for some reason. I think George Russell crashed under safety car in a williams there
I do remember one I think it was a Catheram crashing under SC in Hungary 2014 or I'm mistaken
It was actually Grosjean that crashed lol
how do you front-flip behind the safety car?!
I think its wild that the commentators ignore Hamilitons breaktest.
Its Sky F1, what do you expect lol

Crashing under SC near the incident should be a race ban i think
Drivers that don’t slow down for yellows and safety cars should simply be banned for several races. Never an excuse for it
Jesus Christ, a lot of early Safety Car crashes are just people ignoring the Safety Car Condition and still driving fast! Was it not enforced to slow down back then!?
some of them guys should have been banned for life...
Absolutely wild that Vettel did that, as a 4 time champ. Should’ve been DQ’d.
This was peak Ferrari frustration, so much that they decided to maaayybe cheat the engine in their 2019 car.
The safety car here not helps the safety
I honestly would question some of the drivers what they thought

Most of those are just stupid honestly... 🤦
