Have you heard about MF Ghost ? It may be the sequel you wanted to see. You will not se Takumi as a Pro Racer infortunately but has a Mentor for new gen.

No bunta has the gr badge. The other guy has the older 2021 version that's just 86.

In the movie he was, he was Takumi but with the original VA. This ad just changed to Shinji.

Official sequel to Initial D is coming out this year. Called MF Ghost...they already have a trailer out.
When will it come out? I watched the original in Japan when I lived there. Probably only in Japan at first I’m guessing. But since anime is so popular now here it won’t be long I’m sure?
@user-nc1po5uo9x no official release date announced yet. All the trailer was 2023. I'm sure some sub group will pick it up and you can just download. Or maybe Crunchyroll will license it.
