    Very, VERY, tidy! Great work, a lot neater than my wiring! Once I've completed my move and set up my new workspace I'm so going to rip my setup out and copy yours. Thank you for sharing this info, greatly appreciated! Cheers

      +Shaun Whiteley Thanks, Shaun. Wow, if you do rewire your machine, you have to do a before/after video or send me pictures. I wanna see it.

      Charlie Sarsfield Pictures maybe, no to video 🤗, don't hold your breath though, takes ages to buy and sell a house in the U.K. It's killing me not getting in my workshop at mo, due to trying to keep everything neat and tidy! I'm teasing myself watching videos on RUclips but not being able to do any of the projects. My watch later playlist ( to keep track of them all) is getting HUGE 😂

      +Shaun Whiteley I certainly know that feeling of missing the shop. When you do get settled, you'll be busy for sure. Haha.

    Cool! I've got exactly the same machine and also own a 3D printer. You are saving me a lot of time. Thanks a lot for figuring out and posting this video.

    very very cool, every time I see your videos I feel like getting a 3D printer but so busy these days with MASSO coding that I dont even get much time to machine parts. Look forward to see your machine ready.

      +Masso CNC Controllers I understand that. You are doing some serious work over there at MASSO. The 3D printing is so addictive. Every time I run into an issue to solve, I find myself asking... "What can I design and print to take care of this?" , Haha.

    Absolutely love the switch covers. Any chance u can sell want to sell sets of 3 with the nice connector box as well

      I am working on sets to sell, yes. Will let you know when they are up. The sets I am currently printing include all 3 complete switch mounts (with switches and screws), their wire retainers, and X axis switch cover. Am also getting the hardware together for the connector box as well. Is this the type of set you are looking for? If not, let me know what you need.

    I have the same machine but not different control board. Can I send you a photo and help me to figure out where to connect. Thanks.

    Not sure what your budget is for our man toys 😀 but as you have access to a 3d printer have you thought of doing a MPCNC build? As soon as I have more shop space it's on the todo list, I feel very limited with the size of work piece of my 3020.

      +Shaun Whiteley MPCNC... I had to look that one up, and wow, that looks like an awesome project to tackle.

      Charlie Sarsfield I'd printed half the parts, purchased all the hardware, it's now stuck in a box waiting for my new workshop. 150x150cm 😀

      +Shaun Whiteley That's a pretty good sized one for sure. Nice!

    Sir, How to set XYZ +/- limit on 5 axis board . Is this possible with this board or not !

    • @sunny5rising
      @sunny5rising  4 года назад

      Not sure. I only have 4 axes with my setup.

    did you change the motors wiring?

    I don't have a printer do you sell them? Would they fit a 6040z??

      Contact me at sunny5rise@gmail.com and we can discuss it. Not sure if they will fit, we'll have to take measurements.

    hello
    as icompleted my new router working well i want to ask if i set the velocity and acceleration of my motors at highest point it will effect my motors in future is it will cause some serious damage to motors

    • @sunny5rising
      @sunny5rising  6 лет назад

      I would say run it as fast or as slow as you are comfortable with. Keep in mind the machine mass and tool pressure that each motor will have to deal with. If you set it too high, the motors will skip steps and possibly ruin your work... and possibly shorten motor life.

    • @ismailmallick8681
      @ismailmallick8681 6 лет назад

      what value i should set then its max vel is 2300 mm/min and acceleration 1950 mm²
      my step setting is 640 / step for all 3 axis

    • @sunny5rising
      @sunny5rising  6 лет назад

      The step settings you will not change, of course. If you feel the other settings are ok for your setup, then go with them and test for part measurement accuracy and consistency. If measurements are not consistent, then your motors might be skipping steps, which means you should slow velocity down. As a note... velocity controls the rapid speed and it's also the fastest feedrate your machine will run for that particular axis.

      as you say i done same reduce velocity it is working now without loosing steps but i am facing a new problem
      that i dont understand i am using 5 axis breakout board with lcd DRO . my model is 6090 model and installed 4 kw spindle when i turned spindle ON the spindle DRO reading running automatically motors are not running that time but only dro reading i checked each and every wiring all is correct this issue occurs only when i turned the spindle on as i connect external on/off switch for spindle and pot for changing spindle frequency i dont understand what is relation between spindle and DRO it should not run when i turned spindle on
      my machine is nearly to complete but i m facing this issue so that i am not able to take any trial of my machine

    • @sunny5rising
      @sunny5rising  6 лет назад

      Ignoring the DRO at the moment, does the spindle itself turn on and off by clicking the spindle button or if you MDI M3 and M5?

  • @Bishop0178

    couldn´t you just leave those limit switches out and just use soft limits?

    • @sunny5rising
      @sunny5rising  5 лет назад

      In the part two video, I did cut down to 3 switches instead of the 6 planned. Also went with the soft limits.

    • @Bishop0178

      @@sunny5risingI am thinking of leavin em out completely. Those steppers shouldn´t be strong enough to really harm the machine or am i wrong? I ordered the 3040t-dq asa second machine for smaller work which is very similar to yours.

    • @sunny5rising
      @sunny5rising  5 лет назад +1

      The main reason i installed the switches is for consistency in homing. The switches are used as home switches. The soft limits use the homing info for location of physical machine limits.
