I'm going to try inner tube on my 12" SIP Bandsaw. Many of the parts including the saw it's self are no longer available. I managed to find tyres for it. Including postage they want a ridiculous £34.00 for two.

That's pretty cheap but still a pain, mine are £60 £70 odd for 2

And did you manage with the innertube? it should work I replaced one on my 16inch mini max with innertube probably 4 months ago only went to replace as other wheel was going so thought I'd do both, now think I'm going back to innertube

@@bunney181 Thanks for your reply. Yes it worked well using SuperGlue and activator spray.
I had to change the drive belt also.
      🙂

@@Bullseyearchery thanks buddy think I going to redo that on both now Iv took them off, only did as original tyre had gone and had some neoprene to find out it was to thick and I could of just changed the one grrrrrrr lol, I think my drive belts going aswel as it squeaked but a tiny bit of wd40 seemed to help restore the rubber not sure how long it will last tho, go steady bud

Thanks for this James. I think it's turned out well and it's a great size for a small workshop. With the help of the comment from dfross87/your own problem solving skills you'll have this tracking true in no time. Keep us posted.

I thought about using innertube rubber after I had ordered new ones. The blue urethane ones are crap and cost the same as the original black rubber ones.

Still working well! Even after a year. Thanks for the comment 👍

    Regarding the tracking issue:
    1) Are you sure the centre bushing on both wheels is concentric with the outside of the wheel? Especially with the improvised tyres?
    2) I forget how each affects the tracking but from my time running flat belt driven pumps....you have to adjust both the angle of the adjustable on its axis (so that both wheels are running truly parallel), and its position relative to the fixed wheel (so that they are exactly in line). Kind of hard to explain in text!

Also, your driving wheel is the bottom (fixed) wheel, IIRC. Not sure if that will make a difference, becuase on the pump setup the driving wheel was the adjustable wheel.
